E=(R・T)/(4F) ln(Po2 /Po1 ) (2)
【0029】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for measuring the position of a molten steel layer and / or the thickness of a slag layer floating on the surface of a molten steel, a measuring device therefor, and a probe used therefor in a blowing step of blowing oxygen to molten steel in a converter It is about.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In steelmaking processes, converters are widely used in refining processes that remove impurities such as carbon, phosphorus, and silicon contained in pig iron from a blast furnace. This refining process is a process in which scrap, lime, etc. are put together with molten pig iron in a converter and oxygen is blown at a high speed, which is called a blowing process. In this blowing process, impurities in the molten steel combine with oxygen to generate heat and burn, and are removed from the molten steel, and a floating slag layer is formed on the surface of the molten steel. It plays an important role in preventing molten steel from coming into direct contact with air. In order to control this blowing process, it is necessary to control the amount of oxygen to be blown, etc. Therefore, know the surface position of the molten steel layer and the thickness of the slag layer as well as the oxygen partial pressure of the molten steel layer and slag layer. is important.
[0003]
In order to measure the oxygen partial pressure of the molten steel layer or the slag layer, generally, an oxygen sensor that applies the principle of an oxygen concentration cell is used. For example,
[0004]
Moreover, as a method of knowing the surface position of the molten steel layer and the thickness of the slag layer, a method described in the specification of Japanese Patent Application No. 2001-157959 has been proposed. In addition, a method for obtaining the thickness of the slag layer by measuring the difference in impedance between the molten steel, slag, and the atmosphere, and the fact that the induced voltage of the electromagnetic coil is different between the molten steel, slag, and the atmosphere are used. There are known methods for determining the thickness of the slag layer.
[0005]
As described above, in order to control the blowing process, it is necessary to simultaneously measure the oxygen partial pressure of the molten steel layer and the slag layer and the surface position of the molten steel layer and the thickness of the slag layer. The method of knowing the surface position of the molten steel layer and the thickness of the slag layer is a method that uses a completely different principle from the method of measuring the oxygen partial pressure of the molten steel layer or slag layer. In order to measure the pressure and the surface position of the molten steel layer and the thickness of the slag layer at the same time, a device for measuring the partial pressure of oxygen and the position of the molten steel layer surface and the thickness of the slag layer are measured. Must be used with the device. Therefore, conventionally, a method using these two devices in combination has been used.
[0006]
However, if the surface position of the molten steel layer and the thickness of the slag layer can be measured using means for measuring the oxygen partial pressure of the molten steel layer or slag layer, the measurement can be performed economically and efficiently. For this purpose, it is necessary to detect at least the boundary surface between the molten steel layer and the slag layer using a means for measuring the oxygen partial pressure of the molten steel layer or the slag layer. Therefore, as a conventional oxygen probe that is generally used, a sensor comprising a solid electrolyte having oxygen ion conductivity and a standard electrode filled therein, and a measurement electrode having conductivity are provided. An experiment was conducted to see whether or not the boundary surface between the molten steel layer and the slag layer can be detected using the

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
FIG. 5 is a graph showing the results of the above experiment, showing the electromotive force between the standard electrode and the measurement electrode and the position of the oxygen probe, and the horizontal axis is time (seconds). In FIG. 5, the point C is the position of the boundary surface between the molten steel layer and the slag layer, but there is no significant change in the electromotive force curve between the standard electrode and the measurement electrode before and after the point C. It can be seen from the curve that it is difficult to detect the boundary between the molten steel layer and the slag layer. However, as described above, there is a great advantage if the surface position of the molten steel layer and the thickness of the slag layer can be measured using means for measuring the oxygen partial pressure of the molten steel layer or slag layer. Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve the problem of measuring the surface position of the molten steel layer and the thickness of the slag layer using means for measuring the oxygen partial pressure of the molten steel layer and slag layer.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present inventor noticed that a vessel such as a converter in which molten steel is accommodated has conductivity, and conventionally, an oxygen probe is provided integrally with a sensor composed of a standard electrode and a solid electrolyte. The above-mentioned problems have been solved by imparting the role of the measuring electrode to the side wall of a converter or the like that is a container in which molten steel is accommodated. That is, the present inventor has the standard electrode of the sensor before and after the boundary surface between the molten steel layer and the slag layer floating on the surface thereof, and the boundary surface between the slag layer and the upper atmosphere layer of the slag layer. It was found that the electromotive force generated between the converter and the ground connected to the converter greatly changes. The present invention has been made paying attention to this point.
[0010]
First, the method for measuring the surface position of the molten steel layer and / or the thickness of the slag layer according to the present invention will be described. This measuring method is a molten steel in which an oxygen sensor comprising a cylindrical solid electrolyte having oxygen ion conductivity and a standard electrode filled in the solid electrolyte is housed in a conductive container. After being immersed in the layer for a certain time, the molten steel layer is moved to the atmosphere layer, which is the upper layer of the slag layer floating on the surface of the molten steel layer, and continuously from the reference position to the position of the oxygen sensor during the immersion and the movement. At the same time, the total electromotive force generated between the standard electrode and the ground connected to the container at that time is measured, and the relationship between the vertical distance and the total electromotive force, the molten steel It is characterized in that the position of the layer surface and / or the thickness of the slag layer are obtained.
[0011]
In the method for measuring the surface position of the molten steel layer and / or the thickness of the slag layer, the temperature of each layer to which the oxygen sensor is exposed or immersed is measured using a temperature sensor that moves integrally with the oxygen sensor. In addition, the oxygen partial pressure of the layer can be obtained using the total electromotive force and the temperature in the layer.
In this method, a bias electromotive force generated between the ground and the ground is measured using a correction electrode disposed in the vicinity of the oxygen sensor, and the total electromotive force is used instead of the total electromotive force. It is recommended to determine the oxygen partial pressure using a modified electromotive force obtained by reducing the bias electromotive force.
[0012]
Next, the apparatus for measuring the surface position of the molten steel layer and / or the slag layer thickness according to the present invention will be described. This measuring device has a conductive container containing a molten steel layer with a slag layer floating on its surface, a cylindrical solid electrolyte with oxygen ion conductivity closed at the lower end, and the interior of the solid electrolyte. An oxygen sensor composed of a standard electrode and oxygen sensor moving means for immersing the oxygen sensor in the molten steel layer for a certain period of time and then moving from the molten steel layer to an atmospheric layer that is an upper layer of a slag layer floating on the surface of the molten steel layer And an oxygen sensor position measuring means for measuring a vertical distance from a reference position to the position of the oxygen sensor continuously during the immersion and the movement, and the standard electrode at the same time as the measurement of the vertical distance. And a total electromotive force measuring means for measuring a total electromotive force generated between the container and the ground connected to the container, and the vertical distance measured by the oxygen sensor position measuring means and the total electromotive force From the relationship between the total electromotive force force measuring means has measured the position of the molten steel layer surface, or the thickness of the slag layer, or is characterized by comprising seeking both.
[0013]
In the apparatus for measuring the surface position of the molten steel layer and / or the thickness of the slag layer, a temperature sensor that moves integrally with the oxygen sensor and measures the temperature of each layer to which the oxygen sensor is exposed or immersed is provided. While using the temperature measuring means used, the partial pressure of oxygen in the layer can be obtained using the total electromotive force and the temperature in the layer.
The apparatus further includes a correction electrode provided in the vicinity of the oxygen sensor, and bias electromotive force measuring means for measuring a bias electromotive force generated between the correction electrode and the ground, and the total electromotive force. It is recommended that the oxygen partial pressure be obtained using a modified electromotive force obtained by subtracting the bias electromotive force from the total electromotive force instead of electric power.
[0014]
Next, the molten steel layer surface position and / or slag layer thickness measuring device A probe used in the above will be described. This probe consists of a solid electrolyte with a closed bottom and oxygen ion conductivity, and a standard electrode filled inside the solid electrolyte. Above Oxygen sensor and provided in the vicinity of this oxygen sensor Above A correction electrode is disposed in the vicinity of the oxygen sensor so as to measure the temperature around the portion where the oxygen sensor is exposed or immersed. As the temperature measuring means A temperature sensor; With It is characterized by becoming.

【The invention's effect】
According to the first or fourth aspect of the present invention, the role of the measurement electrode, which has been conventionally provided in the oxygen probe and integrated with the sensor made of the standard electrode and the solid electrolyte, in the container in which the molten steel is accommodated. By making it negative, as described above, the surface position of the molten steel layer and the thickness of the slag layer can be measured using means for measuring the oxygen partial pressure such as the molten steel layer and the slag layer. In the molten steel layer, the total electromotive force quickly stabilizes in 2 to 3 seconds and maintains a constant value, so that stable measurement can be performed and measurement accuracy can be improved. In turn, the quality of steelmaking can be improved. In addition, the time for immersing the oxygen probe in the molten steel layer can be shortened to 3 to 4 seconds, the measurement time conventionally required for 5 to 8 seconds can be shortened, and the time for immersing in the molten steel layer can be shortened. Since it becomes shorter, adhesion of molten steel, slag, etc. to the sublance can be reduced, and the thickness of the member used for the oxygen probe can be reduced, so that the cost of the oxygen probe can be reduced.
