BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an auxiliary device of a centrifugal casting machine for casting a cast iron pipe or the like, and more particularly to an apparatus for preventing a molten metal remaining in a trough used in the centrifugal casting machine from dropping from the trough tip.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A centrifugal casting machine for producing a cast iron pipe such as a ductile cast iron pipe has a
[0003]
What is the
[0004]
The trough has a U-shaped cross-sectional shape, its outer peripheral part is made of a ferrous material, and the U-shaped groove part through which the molten metal is made of a refractory. The length of the trough is 4 m to 5 m, and the length of the trough is equal to or longer than the length of the cast iron pipe to be manufactured.
[0005]
In order to prevent the heating due to the molten metal and extend the life of the trough, usually the tip of the trough used after the casting run of the casting cart is pulled out from the mold and replaced with another trough prepared in advance. . As described above, since the trough has a length of 4 m to 5 m and is U-shaped, the molten metal remains in the U-shaped groove, so that when the trough is pulled out from the mold, The remaining molten metal flows down from the trough tip and adheres to the inlet of the mold (referred to as “end ring”).
[0006]
When the cast cast iron pipe was pulled out from the core mounting side of the mold, the ground metal adhering to the mold entrance was dragged into the cast iron pipe and entered the mold, and was left in the mold for some reason. In some cases, the metal is cast at the next casting of the cast iron pipe, resulting in a quality defect and worsening the product yield.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The period from the completion of the casting run of the casting cart to the withdrawal of the cast iron pipe that has been cast is automatically operated and is extremely short, so the work of checking the adhesive metal on the mold entrance side and the process of removing the adhesive metal are conventional. Not done. Moreover, even if it tries to confirm visually, since an adhesion | attachment metal is small and it is a confirmation work from a distant place, Furthermore, since there are various incidental devices in a metal mold | die entrance part, it cannot fully confirm.
[0008]
If the molten metal does not remain in the trough, the above problem does not occur, but the angle of inclination of the trough is naturally limited because the trough is inserted into the mold, so all the molten metal remaining in the trough is discharged. In the case of casting until it occurs, quality defects due to a decrease in productivity and a decrease in temperature of the residual molten metal occur.
[0009]
As described above, it has been found that the molten metal remaining in the trough becomes a problem in quality, but in the past, effective measures have not been taken against the remaining molten metal.
[0010]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object thereof is to prevent the molten metal remaining in the trough from dropping from the trough tip when the cast iron pipe is manufactured by the centrifugal casting machine. It is providing the apparatus which enables this.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for preventing residual molten metal from dropping from a trough in a centrifugal casting machine, an air nozzle installed at an upper portion of a casting carriage on a mold insertion side, air supply means for supplying air to the air nozzle, Control means for controlling the supply and stop of air to the air nozzle, and the air nozzle is located at the upper part of the casting carriage on the mold insertion side, toward the upstream side of the molten metal supply direction in the trough. It is installed so as to face obliquely downward, and air is blown from the air nozzle toward the trough to prevent the molten metal remaining in the trough from dropping from the trough tip.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, when the trough is pulled out from the mold immediately after the end of casting by the centrifugal casting machine, the molten metal remaining in the trough is prevented from falling into the mold from the trough tip. As a result, quality abnormalities due to the fall of residual molten metal into the mold can be avoided, and high-quality cast iron pipes can be stably manufactured, improving the productivity of centrifugal casters and improving the product yield. Industrially beneficial effects such as are brought about.
