Description
【0001】

[Technical field to which the invention belongs]
The present invention relates to an upper part structure of an automobile body, and more particularly to a structure of a connecting part between a midway part of a roof side rail in the front-rear direction and an upper end part of a pillar.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, the upper side structure of the automobile body is disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-76937.
[0003]
According to the above publication, the upper portion of the vehicle body is positioned below the roof side rail extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body and the middle portion of the roof side rail in the front-rear direction and extending in the vertical direction. A center pillar coupled to a middle part of the roof side rail, and the rail side panel and the rail inner panel that are opposed to each other in the width direction of the vehicle body, and the rail reinforcement interposed between the two panels. With a panel.
[0004]
Further, in the above configuration, conventionally, the lower edge portions of the rail outer panel, the rail inner panel, and the rail reinforcing panel are joined to each other by spot welding, and a seat belt anchor is attached to the center pillar, and is connected to the seat belt anchor. Some seat belts allow a seated person seated on the seat to be held on the seat.
[0005]
When a vehicle having the above configuration collides with an object in front of it while traveling forward ("front collision"), a seated person on the seat tries to move relatively forward from the seat due to its inertial force. The belt tries to hold the seated person on the seat, and the seat belt is firmly supported by the center pillar via the seat belt anchor. Therefore, the seated person is held and protected on the seat by the seat belt.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, at the time of the “front collision” of the automobile, generally, a large external force directed forward is applied to the center pillar via the seat belt anchor. In this case, when the center pillar bends forward and the center pillar pulls the middle part of the roof side rail downward, stress concentration occurs in the roof side rail portion in the vicinity of the rear of the center pillar. As a result, of the spot welds, spot welds located near the rear of the center pillar are broken, and the rail outer panel, the rail inner panel, and the rail reinforcing panel are mutually connected at the lower edge portions. There is a risk that the connection will be released.
[0007]
The present invention has been made paying attention to the above-described circumstances, and even when a large external force is applied to the pillar forward through the seat belt anchor during the “front collision” of the automobile, It is an object to prevent the spot welding of the roof side rail portion in the vicinity of the rear from being easily broken.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-described problems, the structure of the upper part of the automobile body of the present invention is as follows. In addition, the code | symbol attached | subjected to each term in this section does not limit the technical scope of this invention to the content of the term of the "embodiment of invention" mentioned later.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a roof side rail extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body, and positioned below a midway portion in the front-rear direction of the roof side rail and extending in the vertical direction. The roof side rail includes a rail outer panel and a rail inner panel facing each other in the width direction of the vehicle body, and a rail reinforcing panel interposed between the two panels, the rail outer panel In the upper part structure of an automobile body in which each lower edge part of the rail inner panel and the rail reinforcing panel is joined to each other by spot welding, and a seat belt anchor is attached to the middle part in the vertical direction of the pillar,
[0044]
Among the spot welds, a groove-shaped bent portion is formed in a part of the rail reinforcing panel in a cross-sectional view of the roof side rail passing through the spot weld located near the rear of the pillar.
[0045]
Here, at the time of the “front collision” of the automobile, a large external force is applied to the pillar forward via the seat belt anchor, and the pillar bends forward. The middle of the roof side rail is lowered by the pillar. When it is pulled toward the rear, the stress concentration tends to occur in the roof side rail portion in the vicinity of the rear of the pillar. As a result, the spot welding in the vicinity of the rear of the pillar breaks, and the rail outer panel, rail inner There is a possibility that the coupling between the lower ends of the panel and the rail reinforcing panel is released.
[0046]
However, as described above, a bent portion is formed on a part of the rail reinforcing panel in a cross-sectional view of the roof side rail passing through spot welding. Therefore, based on the external force, when stress concentration occurs in the portion of the roof side rail in the vicinity of the rear of the pillar and a large external force is to be applied to the spot welding, the bending portion is bent, It is suppressed that a large external force is applied to spot welding.
[0047]
Therefore, the spot welding is prevented from breaking due to the stress concentration, and the coupling of the rail outer panel, the rail inner panel, and the rail reinforcing panel is more reliably maintained.
[0048]
Further , in a cross-sectional view of the roof side rail, another bent portion is formed on the other portion of the rail reinforcing panel, and one of the two bent portions protrudes toward the inner side of the vehicle body, and the other Protrudes outward.
[0049]
For this reason, as described above, when a large external force is to be applied to the spot welding based on the external force applied to the pillar, in addition to the bending portion being bent, other bending portions are also bent. Further, it is more reliably suppressed that a large external force is applied to the spot welding, so that the breakage of the spot welding is further reliably prevented.
[0050]
Further, as described above, since the protruding directions of the two bent portions formed on the rail reinforcing panel are opposite to each other, the roof side rail has a portion of the space between the rail outer panel and the rail inner panel. It is possible to prevent the rail reinforcing panel from being biased, and thus the cross-sectional strength of the rail reinforcing panel becomes more uniform, which is beneficial in terms of the strength of the vehicle body.
[0051]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided an upper part structure of an automobile body in which the pillar includes a pillar outer panel and a pillar inner panel facing each other in the width direction of the vehicle body, and a pillar reinforcing panel interposed between the two panels. In
[0052]
The bent portion and the upper end portion of the pillar reinforcing panel are coupled to each other.
[0053]
For this reason, as described above, when the middle portion of the roof side rail is pulled downward by the pillar based on the external force applied to the pillar, the pillar reinforcing panel of the pillar immediately lowers the bent portion. Therefore, it is immediately suppressed that a large external force is applied to the spot welding, so that the breakage of the spot welding is further reliably prevented.
