BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a magnetic sensor for detecting a change in a periodic magnetic field accompanying the movement of a moving member that moves with the rotation of a steering shaft of an automobile steering apparatus in which a magnetic body whose magnetic properties change periodically is arranged. Steering for an automobile provided with a signal processing circuit for signal processing of the detected periodic magnetic field change and an arithmetic circuit for computing the rotation angle of the steering shaft of the steering apparatus for an automobile based on the output signal output from the signal processing circuit The present invention relates to a steering angle detection device for a device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The conventional steering angle detection device has a multi-pole magnetized portion on the outer ring portion of a rotating cam attached to a steering shaft interlocked with the rotation of the handle and a single-pole magnetized portion in which a single pole magnetic field is formed on the inner ring portion. A magnetoresistive element that detects a change in a multipole magnetic field facing the multipolar magnetized portion of the magnetized ring disposed therein, and a change in a magnetic field of one pole facing the single pole magnetized portion. It comprises a Hall element, and detects the rotation angle of the handle by converting the change in the magnetic field detected by the magnetoresistive element and the Hall element into a pulse signal (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

[Patent Document 1]

[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The conventional steering angle detector includes a magnetoresistive element that detects a change in a multipolar magnetic field facing the multipolar magnetized portion of the magnetized ring, and a single pole opposed to the single pole magnetized portion. In order to detect the rotation angle of the handle by converting the change in the magnetic field detected by the Hall element that detects the change in the magnetic field of the pole into a pulse signal, the sensor becomes complicated and large, and the angle detection accuracy is increased. If the number of electrodes is increased finely, the magnetic force decreases, so that there is a problem that it is necessary to reduce the gap with the sensor.
[0005]
On the other hand, there is a demand for further improvement in angle detection accuracy (resolution) as automobile control devices improve. In conventional steering wheel steering angle detection devices, it is necessary to magnetize the magnetic poles finely and with high density. However, there were physical and cost limitations.
[0006]
In addition, since the magnetic field that can be detected becomes very small, the magnetic sensor such as the Hall element becomes insufficient in sensitivity, and the distance between the magnetized ring and the Hall element needs to be further shortened (gap is made smaller), vibration, etc. There are problems due to contact between the rotating magnetizing ring and the Hall element of the fixed part, a decrease in durability, and a problem of high cost due to difficulty in assembling.
[0007]
Therefore, the present inventor has proposed a magnetism for detecting a change in a periodic magnetic field accompanying a movement of a moving member that moves with a rotation of a steering shaft of a steering apparatus for an automobile in which a magnetic body whose magnetic properties change periodically is arranged. A vehicle including a sensor, a signal processing circuit that performs signal processing on the detected change in the periodic magnetic field, and an arithmetic circuit that calculates the rotation angle of the steering shaft of the vehicle steering device based on the output signal output from the signal processing circuit In the steering angle detection device of the steering device for a vehicle, the magnetic sensor constituting the magneto-impedance magnetic detector has a phase relationship according to a cycle in which the magnetic property of the magnetic body disposed on the moving member changes. It is constituted by two magneto-impedance elements arranged so that the one signal processing circuit switches the output from the two magneto-impedance elements. The signal processing is performed by alternately switching the signal, and the arithmetic circuit is detected by the two magneto-impedance elements, and the angular displacement is based on the ratio of the outputs of the two magneto-impedance elements that are alternately output from the signal processing circuit. As a result of further research and development, we have achieved the objective of making the sensor simple and compact, and eliminating the need to reduce the gap between the sensor and high sensitivity. The present invention has been reached.

Operation and effect of the invention
The steering angle detection device for an automobile steering system according to the first aspect of the present invention having the above-described configuration is a magnetic property of the magnetic material disposed on the moving member constituting the magnetic sensor constituting the magneto-impedance magnetic detector. The one signal processing circuit constituting the signal processing circuit is configured to detect a change in a periodic magnetic field by two magneto-impedance elements arranged so as to have a phase relationship according to a period in which the signal processing circuit changes. The outputs from the two magneto-impedance elements are alternately switched by the switching means for signal processing, and the arithmetic circuit is detected by the two magneto-impedance elements and is alternately output from the signal processing circuit. Since the angular displacement is detected based on the ratio of the outputs of two magneto-impedance elements,・ When the impedance element is in operation, the other magneto-impedance element is not in operation, so it is not affected by the electromagnetic effects of the other magneto-impedance element. In addition, since the sensor is simple and downsized, and the detection sensitivity is high, it is unnecessary to reduce the gap with the sensor.
[0013]
The steering angle detection device for an automotive steering device of the second invention having the above-described configuration is arranged in the first invention so as to have a phase difference of 90 degrees with respect to the pitch of NS of the magnetic material magnetic pole. A change in the periodic magnetic field of the magnetic material is detected by the two magneto-impedance elements, and the signal processing circuit uses the output Ha of one magneto-impedance element and the output Hb of the other magneto-impedance element, The steering angle θ is calculated according to the relationship of
[0014]
The steering angle detection device for an automobile steering system according to the third aspect of the present invention having the above-described configuration is the above-described second invention, wherein the two magneto-impedance elements are used to generate an ambient magnetic field when a pulse current is applied to the amorphous wire. A voltage is induced by a detection coil wound around the wire, and the electronic circuit as the one signal processing circuit is used for pulse energization of a pulse generator that alternately energizes the two magneto-impedance elements and performs pulse energization. Since the two magnetic signals obtained by the sample and hold circuit in synchronism are alternately held for a predetermined time and outputted in time series, when one of the magneto-impedance elements is operated by pulse energization, the other magneto- Since the impedance elements are not energized and operated, the other element Because it is not affected by the electromagnetic current due to the pulse energization and operation of the impedance element, it enables high-accuracy rotation speed detection and does not perform simultaneous signal processing in the electronic circuit, thus reducing power consumption. The signal processing circuit is small and simple.
[0015]
In the steering angle detection device for a vehicle steering system according to the fourth aspect of the present invention, the two magneto-impedance elements and the set of electronic circuits are formed on the same substrate in the third aspect. Since the characteristics of the two sensors can be matched, high-precision measurement is possible, the sensor is made smaller, higher sensitivity is achieved, the processing circuit is simplified, the overall size is reduced, and the weight is reduced. In addition, the power consumption can be reduced, and the conventional highly precise assembly of the steering angle sensor can be eliminated.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
[0017]
(First embodiment)
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the steering angle detection device for a vehicle steering system according to the first embodiment has a periodic magnetic property on the outer periphery of a part of the steering
[0018]
As shown in FIG. 1, the basic configuration of the first embodiment is a

Next, the principle of the angular displacement sensor in the steering angle detection device of the automotive steering device of the first embodiment will be described.

Now, it is assumed that the magneto-

Next, when the ratio Hb / Ha of the two detection signals is calculated, Equation 5 is obtained.
[Equation 5]
[0023]
That is, as shown in Equation 5, since there is | B | in the denominator and the numerator, when the ratio of the detection signals is calculated, Hb / Ha becomes sinθ / cosθ, and the magnetic field strength of the rotating body magnet | B | It can be seen that this term is deleted. This means that the intensity of the magnetic field is not related to the calculation result of the ratio of the detection signals, that is, it is not affected by the fluctuation of the magnetic field. Since sin θ / cos θ = tan θ, it can be seen that the angular displacement θ can be measured in a linear relationship by performing the calculation of arctan (Hb / Ha) as shown in
[0024]
The above relationship is illustrated as shown in FIG.
That is, the value of the vertical axis arctan (Hb / Ha), which is the output for a period in which the change width of the angular displacement θ is π radians (± π / 2 in this case), linearly changes from −π / 2 to + π / 2. To do. Further, in the region where the change of the angular displacement θ exceeds ± π / 2, every time the angle increases or decreases by π (180 degrees), the data becomes serrated and discontinuous, and the above positive and negative values are repeated.
[0025]
The fact that the magnetic field strength term | B | is eliminated from the calculation result of Hb / Ha as seen in Equation 4 above means that the gap between the

The steering angle detection device according to the first embodiment having the above-described configuration is an amplitude signal of a sine wave generated by the movement of the magnetic pole SN along with the rotation of the
[0031]
Further, in the steering angle detecting device of the first embodiment, the magneto-impedance
[0032]
That is, in the first embodiment, when one of the magneto-impedance elements is operated with pulse energization, the other magneto-impedance element is not operated because it is not energized with pulse. Since it is not affected by the electromagnetic effect caused by the operation of the element with pulse energization, it enables highly accurate rotation speed detection, and simultaneously energizes the two magneto-impedance elements and simultaneously processes signals in the signal processing circuit. Therefore, there is no interference in signal processing and power consumption can be reduced.
[0033]
Furthermore, since the steering angle detection device of the first embodiment performs angle measurement based on the ratio of the two magnetic field signals from the two magneto-impedance elements, there is a sensitivity change due to the temperature of the two magneto-impedance elements. However, since both are formed on the same substrate and placed in the same package, the temperature count and other physical characteristics are the same, so there is no temperature error mixing and the steering angle displacement is highly accurate. There is an effect of realizing measurement.
[0034]
Further, the steering angle detection device according to the first embodiment includes the detection coil formed on the same substrate based on the amplitude signal of the sine wave generated by the movement of the magnetic pole SN along with the rotation of the
[0035]
Furthermore, the steering angle detection device according to the first embodiment extracts angle information and continuously obtains angular displacement, and is inexpensive and has high resolution unlike a conventional method of generating pulses based on the magnetic pole pitch. In addition, there is an effect of realizing a highly stable angular displacement sensor.

In addition, the steering angle detection device of the second embodiment is capable of measuring with high sensitivity even in a high temperature region by using an amorphous wire as a magneto-impedance element, and also having a low power consumption, small size, inexpensive angular displacement, and linear displacement sensor. It is intended to be provided.
