Claims (41)
- 液滴から一定距離を置いて試料プレートを設ける工程であって、高圧液体クロマトグラフィー(HPLC)ソースにより前記液滴を生成する前記工程;及び
a)前記試料プレートが試料プレートホルダー上に設置されたとき該試料プレートを帯電させ、b)前記液滴がキャピラリーの端部に形成された後に液滴をグランドに接続することによって、前記液滴と前記試料プレートとの間に電場を発生して液滴に極性を与えて前記電場に沿って前記液滴を前記試料プレートに引き付ける工程、
を含む液滴を載置する方法。 - 試料プレートを設ける工程が、試料プレートを目標位置に移動させることを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 液滴を試料プレート上の目標場所に引き付ける、請求項1記載の方法。
- 液滴をキャピラリーの先端部にて与える、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記キャピラリーがカラムに接続される、請求項4記載の方法。
- 電場を発生する工程が、液滴に電荷を与えることを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 電場を発生する工程が、試料プレートをグランドに接続することを含む、請求項6記載の方法。
- 試料プレートが、該試料プレートの下にある電極プレートを介してグランドに間接的に接続される、請求項7記載の方法。
- 電場を発生する工程が、試料プレートに電荷を与えることを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記電荷が、試料プレートの下にある電極プレートを介して間接的に試料プレートに与えられる、請求項9記載の方法。
- 電場を発生する工程が、液滴をグランドに接続することを含む、請求項9記載の方法。
- 電場を発生する工程が、1以上の補助電極に電荷を与えることを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 液滴と試料プレートとの距離が10ミリメートルより短い、請求項1記載の方法。
- 液滴と試料プレートとの距離がほぼ5ミリメートルである、請求項13記載の方法。
- 前記電場が100〜300ミリ秒の持続時間を有する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記電場がほぼ200ミリ秒の持続時間を有する、請求項15記載の方法。
- 前記電場が500〜3000ボルトの電位差を有する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記電位差がほぼ1000ボルトである、請求項17記載の方法。
- 2以上の滴を試料プレート上の各目標場所に載置する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記液滴が試料分子を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記液滴がMALDIに適したマトリックス分子を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記試料液滴が試料分子とマトリックス分子との混合物を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 保持機構;
前記保持機構により保持された複数のキャピラリー;
前記複数のキャピラリーに対して位置決め可能な試料プレートホルダー;
前記キャピラリーに連通した高圧液体クロマトグラフィー(HPLC)であって、液体をキャピラリーに流して各キャピラリーの端部にて液滴を形成させる前記高圧液体クロマトグラフィー(HPLC);及び
a)試料プレートが前記試料プレートホルダーの上に設置されたとき該試料プレートを帯電させ、b)前記液滴がキャピラリーの端部に形成された後に液滴をグランドに接続することによって、各キャピラリーと前記試料プレートとの間に電場を発生するよう構成された電源であって、キャピラリーの端部の前記液滴が、前記電場に沿って前記試料プレートに引き付けられる前記電源、
を備えた液滴載置システム。 - 各キャピラリーが、
液滴を形成する液体を含むためのカラム;及び
第1端部にて前記カラムに接続され、液滴を与えるべく第2端部にて開放先端を備えるキャピラリー、
を含む、請求項23記載の液滴載置システム。 - 前記カラムが液体クロマトグラフィーカラムからなる、請求項23記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記試料プレートホルダーが可動式である、請求項23記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記試料プレートがキャピラリーアレイの下にて試料プレートホルダー上に配置される、請求項23記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記試料プレートを目標位置に移動させるための手段をさらに含む、請求項27記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記電源が、試料プレートに電荷を与えるための電圧源を含む、請求項27記載の液滴載置システム。
- 請求項29記載の液滴載置システムであって、電極プレートを備え、該電極プレートを通して試料プレートに前記電荷を間接的に与える前記液滴載置システム。
- 前記キャピラリー端部にて液滴を接地する電気接続を有する、請求項29記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記電源が、複数の液滴の各々に対して電荷を独立に付与できる、請求項23記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記電源が、試料プレートの異なる部分に対して電荷を独立に付与できる、請求項23記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記電源が、液滴を接地するためのグランド接続をさらに含む、請求項33記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記電源が、液滴に電荷を付与するための電圧源を含む、請求項23記載の液滴載置システム。
- 試料プレートの移動、電場の強度、電場の持続時間及び電場の印加周波数からなる群から選択された1以上のパラメータを制御するコントローラをさらに含む、請求項23記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記コントローラが、ユーザーインターフェースを与えるソフトウエアによりプログラミングされたコンピュータを含み、該ユーザーインターフェースにより、試料載置用パラメータをオペレータが設定できる、請求項36記載の液滴載置システム。
- 前記キャピラリーが液体クロマトグラフィーカラムに接続される、請求項23記載の液滴載置システム。
- 高圧液体クロマトグラフィー(HPLC)ソースにより複数の液滴を生成し、位置決め自在な試料プレートの上に前記複数の液滴を与える工程;及び
a)前記試料プレートが試料プレートホルダー上に設置されたとき該試料プレートを帯電させ、b)前記液滴がキャピラリーの端部に形成された後に液滴をグランドに接続することによって、前記複数の液滴と前記試料プレートとの間に形成された電場により、試料プレート上の目標場所に各液滴を引き付ける工程、
を含む液滴載置方法。 - 前記複数の液滴が8以上の液滴を含む、請求項39記載の方法。
- 目標場所に各液滴を引き付ける前記工程を、単一目標場所に対して連続して実施する、請求項39記載の方法。
