BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an X-ray tube used for irradiating a sample with X-rays to observe an internal structure and the like, and more particularly to an X-ray tube capable of generating an X-ray beam having a minute size.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Unlike an electron microscope, an X-ray tube has no means for directly observing an electron beam pattern, and the optical axis alignment of an electron optical system is mainly measured by an X-ray detector such as an X-ray imaging device (II). It is executed based on the X-ray dose. In this method, it is difficult to grasp what trajectory the electron beam draws inside the X-ray tube, enters the lens, and finally reaches the target. Therefore, it has been difficult to appropriately align the optical axis of the electron optical system.
[0003]
If the optical axis adjustment of the electron optical system in the X-ray tube is incomplete, changing the lens power of the electron lens moves the focus (electron beam spot) position reduced by the electron lens. Causes a problem that the electron beam does not reach the target at all.
[0004]
In particular, an apparatus that reduces and forms an electron beam with two or more electron lenses for the purpose of reducing the X-ray focal spot size has as many optical axes as the number of electron lenses. It needs to be adjusted to match the axis. In an X-ray tube equipped with a plurality of electron lenses, the behavior of electron beam deviation due to incomplete optical axis adjustment becomes complicated, which degrades the performance of the X-ray apparatus. Therefore, it is necessary to reliably align the optical axes with respect to a plurality of optical axes, but adjustment is very difficult with the conventional method in which the electron beam trajectory cannot be grasped.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Optical axis alignment for electron optical systems has been developed in the field of electron microscopy. In the electron microscope, the axis can be adjusted while directly observing the electron beam pattern using a fluorescent plate or an imaging tube. However, in general, there is no means for directly observing an electron beam in an X-ray tube, so it is difficult to grasp the sense of optical axis alignment of an electron optical system. Especially when there are two or more electron lenses, the adjustment work becomes very difficult.
[0006]
In the present invention, in order to obtain an X-ray fluoroscopic image, the X-ray fluoroscopic image or X-ray intensity is usually measured with an X-ray imaging apparatus provided in the X-ray tube as a standard, and the electron beam trajectory is deflected. An object of the present invention is to appropriately control the alignment coil and reliably perform optical axis alignment of an X-ray tube including two or more magnetic field type electron lenses.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The X-ray tube of the present invention includes an electron lens having two or more stages disposed between an electron gun and a target that generates an X-ray by being irradiated with an electron beam from the electron gun, An alignment coil is provided between the gun and the first-stage electron lens and between the electron lenses and can deflect the electron beam trajectory.
The optical axis alignment method of the present invention targets such an X-ray tube, arranges an X-ray imaging device behind the target, and uses the X-ray imaging device to detect the electron beam reaching the target while aligning the alignment coil. This is an optical axis alignment method that adjusts the trajectory of the electron beam by using an alignment coil that adjusts the electron beam incident on the alignment coil by bending the electron beam and changing its emission angle. The tilt function that returns the electron beam emitted at a certain angle to the optical axis and the pivot function that arbitrarily changes the incident angle of the electron beam around a fixed point are performed sequentially or in combination. It is a feature.
[0008]
A preferred example of the target X-ray tube is one in which alignment coils are provided in two stages each between the electron gun, the first stage electron lens, and the electron lens, and a diaphragm is provided in the gap portion of each electron lens. This limits the electron beam passage range.
[0009]
The electron lens can be a magnetic field type. In this case, this X-ray tube is equipped with a device that modulates the lens excitation current, observes the vibration of the X-ray fluoroscopic image observed by modulating the excitation current supplied to the electron lens, and matches the optical axis with the electron beam. It is preferable to further include a step of adjusting the optical axis of the electron optical system by adjusting the alignment coil while evaluating the degree.
[0010]
Each electron lens is adjusted using an alignment coil so that the electron beam is incident on the center of the electron lens, and then the angle of the electron beam is set with the lens center as a pivot point, and the electron beam is optical axis of the electron lens. It is preferable to adjust so as to match.
[0011]
[Action]
In an X-ray tube composed of two or more stages of electron lenses, it is difficult to grasp the trajectory of the electron beam emitted from the electron gun and reach the target. It becomes complicated. The trajectory of the electric beam in the X-ray tube can be grasped by deflecting and adjusting the electron beam trajectory with the alignment coil in accordance with the procedure of performing the stepwise combination of the simple deflection function, tilt function and pivot function shown in the present invention. This makes it possible to reliably perform complicated optical axis alignment work.
[0012]

The alignment described above is performed with respect to an appropriate acceleration voltage (tube voltage). When the acceleration voltage is changed after alignment, the alignment and imaging state can be maintained in principle by adjusting the alignment coil current and lens current accordingly. Specifically, when the acceleration voltage becomes N times, the alignment coil current and the lens current are each N 1/2 times, so that the electron beam trajectory can be made constant regardless of the acceleration voltage. When this adjustment is performed, more accurate correction can be performed by using a factor that takes relativistic correction into consideration for the alignment coil current and the lens current.
[0034]
【The invention's effect】
By adjusting according to the procedure based on this invention, the optical axis alignment of the X-ray tube which consists of an electron lens of two or more steps can be performed reliably. Further, since the adjustment guideline is clear, it does not require the advanced skills of the adjuster, so that the adjustment work can be performed efficiently. In particular, the optical axis alignment can be automated by controlling each procedure by software.
