(6) n = 0 (d<-TH2)
n = -k2×(TH2+d) (-TH2≦d≦-TH1)
n = k1×d (-TH1≦d≦TH1)
n = k2×(TH2-d) (TH1≦d≦TH2)
n = 0 (d>TH2)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a noise reduction technique for reducing a noise component from an input signal, and more particularly to an image signal processing technique for detecting a noise component of an input image signal and removing the noise component from the image signal.
[0002]
[Prior art]
When an analog signal is converted into a digital signal, noise may be added to the analog signal, and the analog signal with noise may be digitized. For example, when an image is taken with a CCD camera, noise may be generated in an analog circuit, and noise may be generated during transmission of an analog signal. Such noise is called random noise, it is unclear on which pixel the noise is placed, and the size is irregular. Therefore, basically, random noise has a property that it does not occur in the same pixel between consecutive frames. As a method for reducing such noise, the degree of motion is detected from the image signals of the current frame, the previous frame, and the frame before the previous frame, and the noise component to be removed from the image signal is reduced as the degree of motion increases, There is a proposal of a noise suppression method that controls that there is no noise component when the degree of noise exceeds a predetermined value (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
It can be said that reducing the noise component is one of important issues in the field of image processing because it significantly affects the image quality. In particular, in the case of a moving image, it is difficult to determine whether a motion occurs between frames or a noise component occurs when the image signal of the same pixel changes in successive frames.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and an object thereof is to provide an image signal processing technique for appropriately detecting a noise component of an image signal and removing the detected noise component from the image signal. .
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-described problem, an aspect of the present invention relates to an image signal processing apparatus that detects a noise component of an input image signal. The image signal processing apparatus according to this aspect includes a subtraction unit that calculates a difference between an image signal of the current frame and an image signal of the same pixel of the previous frame input one frame before the current frame, An acquisition unit that acquires the low frequency component of the image signal of the same pixel of the same pixel in the previous frame or the low frequency component acquired in the acquisition unit And the difference calculated in the subtraction unit And a calculation unit for calculating a noise component of the image signal.
[0007]
The acquisition unit integrates the low-frequency component of the image signal of the current frame and the low-frequency component of the image signal of the current frame obtained by integrating the low-frequency component of the pixels around the pixel of the image signal, and the pixel integrated in the current frame. The larger one of the low-frequency components of the image signal obtained by integrating the low-frequency components in the previous frame of the same pixel as the pixel, and the calculation unit calculates the noise component of the image signal based on the low-frequency component acquired by the acquisition unit May be calculated.
[0008]
The calculation unit decreases the threshold value for detecting the difference between the image signals as a noise component as the low frequency component acquired by the acquisition unit increases, and the threshold value for detecting the difference between the image signals as a noise component as the low frequency component decreases. It is preferable to enlarge it.
[0009]
Another aspect of the present invention relates to an image signal processing apparatus that reduces a noise component of an input image signal. The first acquisition unit includes an amount of change between the image signal of the same pixel of the previous frame input one frame before the image signal of the current frame and the image signal of the same pixel of the previous frame input two frames before The change amount obtained by integrating the change amount of the image signal in the previous frame and the previous frame in the pixels around the pixel may be acquired. The arithmetic unit may increase the limit amount of the noise component level as the change amount acquired by the acquisition unit is large, and may decrease the limit amount of the noise component level as the change amount is small.
[0011]

The calculation unit may increase the limit amount of the noise component level as the low frequency component acquired by the second acquisition unit is large, and decrease the limit amount of the noise component level as the low frequency component is small.
[0012]
Still another embodiment of the present invention relates to an image signal processing device that reduces noise components of an input image signal. The image signal processing apparatus according to this aspect includes a noise detection unit that detects a noise component of an image signal, an acquisition unit that acquires a high frequency component of the image signal, and noise detection based on the high frequency component acquired by the acquisition unit. A calculation unit that adjusts the level of the noise component detected in the unit, and a noise removal unit that removes the noise component adjusted in the calculation unit from the image signal.
[0013]
The noise detection unit detects a noise component based on the image signal of the current frame and the image signal of the same pixel of the previous frame input one frame before the current frame, and the acquisition unit detects the image signal of the current frame. A high frequency component may be acquired. The acquisition unit may acquire the high frequency component of the image signal obtained by integrating the high frequency component of the pixel of the image signal and the high frequency component of the pixels around the pixel of the image signal. The calculation unit may decrease the limit amount of the noise component level as the high frequency component acquired by the acquisition unit is large, and increase the limit amount of the noise component level as the high frequency component is small.
[0014]

A calculation unit that adjusts the level of the detected noise component, and a noise removal unit that removes the noise component adjusted in the calculation unit from the image signal.
[0015]

You may acquire a hue component. The acquisition unit may acquire the hue component of the image signal obtained by integrating the hue component of the pixel of the image signal and the hue component of the pixels around the pixel of the image signal. The calculation unit may maximize the limit amount of the noise component level when the hue component is at a predetermined value.
[0016]
It should be noted that any combination of the above-described constituent elements and a representation obtained by converting the expression of the present invention between a method, an apparatus, a system, and the like are also effective as an aspect of the present invention.

n = k2 × (TH2-d) (TH1 ≦ d ≦ TH2)
n = 0 (d> TH2)
Note that k1 × TH1 = k2 × (TH2-TH1).
[0031]
In this input / output characteristic, if the constant k1, that is, the slope of the straight line passing through the origin is 1, the input is output as it is when the input d is in the range of -TH1 to TH1 (-TH1 ≦ d ≦ TH1). . Therefore, when in this range, the

[0033]
FIG. 5 shows correspondence characteristics indicating correspondence between low frequency components and threshold values. The horizontal axis indicates the low frequency component, and the vertical axis indicates the threshold value. For ease of understanding, if the low-frequency component expresses luminance, the right direction means a bright image and the left direction means a dark image. According to this correspondence characteristic, the threshold value is uniquely set according to the value of the low frequency component. The threshold calculation unit 46 calculates a threshold based on this correspondence characteristic. This correspondence characteristic is obtained from, for example, an input / output characteristic by gamma correction.
[0034]
FIG. 6 shows input / output characteristics by known gamma correction. The horizontal axis represents luminance, and the vertical axis represents actual output. According to this input / output characteristic, even if there is a difference in input level between image signals with a high input level, the output level does not change so much, whereas there is a difference in input level between image signals with a low input level. The difference is remarkably reflected in the output level. That is, if the input level, that is, the luminance is low, the output level is greatly affected when a noise component is included in the image signal. Therefore, when the level of the low frequency component acquired by the maximum
[0035]
On the other hand, when the input level is high, the influence on the output level is small even if a noise component is included in the image signal. Therefore, when the level of the low-frequency component is high, even if the difference between the image signal of the current frame and the previous frame is large, it is determined as a motion of the image, rather than being processed as a noise component. Processing in the direction to leave is preferable as image processing. Therefore, when the level of the low frequency component is high, it is preferable to reduce the threshold value for detecting the difference between the image signals as the noise component. For the above reasons, the correspondence characteristic between the low frequency component and the threshold shown in FIG. 5 is set so that the threshold is high when the low frequency component is small, while the threshold is low when the low frequency component is large. Is set to Maximum threshold TH HIGH And minimum threshold TH LOW Can be set as appropriate, and it is preferable that the correspondence characteristic itself can be set as appropriate so as to satisfy the relationship that the threshold value decreases in the direction from the low level of the low-frequency component to the high level.
[0036]
Returning to FIG. 4, when the low frequency component is small, the threshold calculation unit 46 sets the input / output characteristics as shown by the dotted

[0046]
As shown in the figure, the slope is set small when the level of the low frequency component is low, and the slope is set large when the level of the low frequency component is high. As described with reference to the input / output characteristics of gamma correction in FIG. 6, when the low frequency component level is low, the influence of noise is easily reflected in the output, and when the low frequency component level is high, the influence of noise is output. Is difficult to reflect. The corresponding characteristic shown in FIG. 8 also uses this property. When the level of the low frequency component is low, it is highly necessary to determine that the amount of change in the image signal is due to the noise component, while the low frequency component When the level is high, control for determining that the amount of change in the image signal is due to movement is preferable to image processing rather than being based on noise components. For this reason, the correspondence characteristic in FIG. 8 sets the slope small when the low frequency component acquired by the maximum
