連続自動炊飯システムに用いる炊飯釜の蓋は、長尺物である場合が多い。しかも、鋳物で構成されているために、6〜8kg程度の重量があり、中央の摘みも水平幅に比べて非常に小さく、摘みを持ち上げても左右の釣り合いがとれない場合が多い。そのために、移載時に、左右のいずれかに傾斜したり、左右に揺れを生じたりして、保持部から蓋が滑り落ちてしまったり、移載先である炊飯釜や搬送コンベア上に安定供給できないといった問題が生ずる。
