Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an optical scanning device used in an image forming apparatus such as a printer, a digital copying machine, a digital facsimile machine, or a digital printing machine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, an optical scanning apparatus has been used as a writing optical system of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus such as a digital copying machine. An electrophotographic image forming apparatus using a conventional optical scanning device includes a photosensitive drum that rotates at a constant speed using a main motor as a drive source. A charge corotron, an optical scanning device, a developing device, a transfer corotron, and a cleaning device are disposed around the photosensitive drum. The charge corotron uniformly charges the surface of the photosensitive drum. The optical scanning device forms an electrostatic latent image by irradiating the surface of the uniformly charged photosensitive drum with a light beam (laser beam). The developing device applies toner to the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the photosensitive drum and develops it. The transfer corotron transfers a toner image formed on the surface of the photosensitive drum after development onto a sheet. The cleaning device collects toner remaining on the surface of the photosensitive drum after the transfer of the toner image. The surface of the photosensitive drum after being cleaned by the cleaning device is charged again by the charge corotron, whereby the image can be repeatedly formed.
An optical scanning unit (optical scanning module) is disposed inside the optical scanning device. The optical scanning unit includes a box and a scanning optical system that is disposed inside the box and generates, modulates, and deflects a light beam. The light beam output from the optical scanning unit scans the mirror surface of the reflection mirror disposed inside the optical scanning device. As described above, the light beam reflected by the reflecting mirror repeatedly scans the surface of the photosensitive drum in parallel with the axial direction of the photosensitive drum. The scanning direction parallel to the axial direction of the photosensitive drum is called a main scanning direction. The moving direction of the surface of the photosensitive drum is called a sub-scanning direction. The scanning optical system includes a laser diode, a collimator lens, a first cylinder lens, a polygon mirror, an fθ lens, and a second cylinder lens.
[0003]
By the way, in the electrophotographic image forming apparatus having such an optical scanning device, when the vibration of the main body of the electrophotographic image forming device is transmitted to the scanning optical system of the optical scanning device, the scanning optics of the optical scanning device. The system is vibrated, causing uneven stripes of image density appearing in the sub-scanning direction called banding.
In view of this, various optical scanning devices have been proposed in order to prevent uneven image density due to vibration of the scanning optical system. Among them, an optical scanning device described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 9-33844 includes a light beam generator that generates a light beam, a deflector that deflects a light beam output from the light beam generator, A predetermined vibration generating component that may generate a vibration that affects the course, a support plate having a hole that fits with the outer periphery of the main body of the vibration generating component, and an edge of the support plate A plurality of ribs arranged in a radial direction from the hole portion toward the side wall at a predetermined height and in contact with the support plate, and at least the light deflector and the vibration generating component And an optical box housed therein. In this optical scanning device, the rigidity of the support plate is maintained by a plurality of ribs that are in contact with the support plate and radially arranged from the hole portion toward the side wall at a predetermined height, and unevenness in image density caused by vibrations. Is preventing. In the conventional optical scanning device, when one scanning optical system is arranged on the support plate, as described above, the rigidity of the support plate can be maintained and unevenness in image density due to vibration can be prevented. .
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional optical scanning device, a plurality of optical scanning modules (optical scanning units) are arranged on a support plate (substrate), and each optical scanning module is in a state of vibration of the support plate (substrate). When arranged in the vicinity of the vibration antinode or in the vicinity of the antinode, the entire scanning optical system vibrates, so that there is a problem that it is impossible to prevent image deterioration due to the vibration.
For example, as shown in FIG. 7, the optical scanning device has three
It is an object of the present invention to provide an optical scanning device in which a plurality of optical scanning modules are arranged on a substrate, which can effectively prevent vibration of a deflector of the optical scanning module and prevent image deterioration. It is to provide.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the invention according to claim 1 accommodates a light emitting source and an optical system having a deflector for deflecting and repeatedly scanning a light beam from the light emitting source in the same holding frame. In the image forming apparatus comprising a plurality of optical scanning modules arranged on the same substrate and a support member for fastening the substrate, both ends of the substrate in the main scanning direction are near the tip. The deflector is disposed in the vicinity of a vibration node caused by a vibration mode of the substrate generated by using a fastening point of the support member of the substrate accompanying a vibration of the image forming apparatus main body as a fulcrum. The direction of vibration depending on the mode is a direction perpendicular to the substrate .
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the image forming apparatus according to the first aspect , the optical scanning modules are arranged on the same substrate in accordance with the scanning direction of the light beam .

【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the image forming apparatus according to the first aspect of the present invention, both ends of the substrate in the main scanning direction are fastened to the support member in the vicinity of the tip, and the support member for the substrate accompanying vibration of the image forming apparatus body By placing the deflector near the vibration node due to the vibration mode of the substrate generated using the fastening point as a fulcrum, the deflector is less affected by vibration due to the vibration mode of the substrate whose direction of vibration is perpendicular to the substrate. Therefore, the banding can be reduced, and the shift in the sub-scanning direction of the connecting portion of the scanning lines by the optical scanning modules arranged on the same substrate can be reduced, so that the deterioration of the image can be prevented.
