Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an exhaust gas circulation (hereinafter simply referred to as EGR) device for an internal combustion engine that purifies and discharges exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine that is ignited with, for example, sparks.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As is well known, in an internal combustion engine, heat energy of fuel supplied into a cylinder is converted into rotational force to extract power. There is exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) as a means of improving the efficiency or output of an internal combustion engine, but EGR gas contains NOx having a knocking promoting effect, resulting in knocking. Higher output and higher efficiency are hindered, and the durability of the internal combustion engine is also lowered.
[0003]
In addition, it is known to reduce the generation of NOx itself by lowering the combustion temperature, and to provide an EGR device for higher efficiency and higher output, which is itself effective for reducing NOx.
[0004]
On the other hand, it is known that NOx decreases when simulated exhaust gas is passed through a discharge tube (see the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers No. 940-23 Environmental Engineering General Symposium '94 Proceedings). However, it has been difficult to apply to an internal combustion engine.
[0005]
[Knowledge]
As a result of various studies, the present inventor has found that NOx generated from the internal combustion engine can be removed by providing a discharge portion in the EGR line, and knocking can be prevented.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Accordingly, a main object of the present invention is to provide an aftertreatment device (discharge device) for removing NOx having an effect of promoting knocking in an exhaust gas recirculation device (EGR device) of an internal combustion engine.
[0007]
Another object of the present invention is to provide a discharge device having an effect of removing NOx contained in exhaust gas in an exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas recirculation device.
[0008]
Another object of the present invention is to provide a peripheral device for a discharge part of an internal combustion engine that can prevent corrosion of an exhaust pipe due to N 2 O or N-acid converted from NOx.
[0009]
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a peripheral device for a discharge part of an internal combustion engine that can prevent inconvenience associated with the removal of NOx.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, in an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus for an internal combustion engine having a piston that reciprocates in a cylinder and having an exhaust gas circulation pipe that connects an exhaust pipe and an intake pipe, a discharge part having an electrode in the exhaust gas circulation pipe The electrode is connected to a high voltage generating source, and a heating device is provided downstream of the discharge unit, and a knocking sensor for detecting knocking is provided in the cylinder, and discharging is performed by a signal from the knocking sensor. Control means for discharging the part is provided.
[0011]
In addition, according to the present invention, the control means has a function of discharging according to a signal from the knocking sensor and terminating the discharge when knocking disappears.
[0012]
Thus, NOx which has the knocking promotion effect contained in EGR gas can be removed by discharge of a discharge part, and knocking resistance improves. As a result, a high compression ratio is possible, and high efficiency operation is possible. Further, since knocking can be prevented, damage to the internal combustion engine can be prevented, and durability is improved.
[0016]
Thus, by providing a heating device on the downstream side of the discharge part, N 2 O and N-acid generated in the discharge part are not liquefied, so that corrosion can be prevented.
[0023]
And according to this invention, the knocking sensor which detects knocking is provided in the cylinder, and the control means which discharges the discharge part provided in the exhaust gas recirculation device by the signal from the knocking sensor is provided.
[0024]
Furthermore, according to the present invention, the control means has a function of discharging according to a signal from the knocking sensor and terminating the discharge from the discharge portion provided in the exhaust gas recirculation device when the knocking disappears.
In this way, knocking can be reliably prevented and high-efficiency operation can be achieved.
