Description
【0001】

【0067】
cfcosc ← cfcosc + oinc …
【0131】
FAF ← rsrfc × kthw … [

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a fuel supply control method and a fuel supply control device for an internal combustion engine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an exhaust gas purification catalyst capable of storing oxygen such as a three-way catalyst provided in an exhaust system is in a saturated state or a state close to saturation immediately after a fuel cut of an internal combustion engine is restored. If combustion starts in such a state and NOx is discharged, there is a possibility that the exhaust purification catalyst cannot sufficiently reduce NOx.
[0003]
In order to prevent such shortage of NOx purification, a technique of reducing the exhaust purification catalyst with fuel immediately after returning from the fuel cut to restore the NOx purification capability (Japanese Patent Laid-Open Nos. 5-26073 and 8-193537). Publication).
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-26073, after the fuel cut is restored, the air-fuel ratio is temporarily rich (the fuel concentration is higher than the theoretical air-fuel ratio) and unburned components are supplied to the exhaust purification catalyst for reduction. Yes. However, in such a method, the oxygen storage state of the exhaust purification catalyst is not taken into consideration, so that the supply of unburned components becomes excessive or insufficient. For this reason, there is a risk that the fuel as the reducing agent is insufficient, and the NOx purification ability of the exhaust purification catalyst does not sufficiently return, and NOx cannot be completely purified, or the fuel consumption is deteriorated by supplying more fuel than necessary.
[0005]
In JP-A-8-193537, the air-fuel ratio is biased rich or the rich level is shifted for a while according to the oxygen storage amount after the fuel cut is restored. However, after the fuel cut is restored, the method of shifting the entire air-fuel ratio to the rich side for a while cannot sufficiently cope with the oxidation state of the exhaust purification catalyst immediately after the return from the fuel cut and sufficiently purifies NOx. In some cases, it may not be performed, or the period during which the rich shift is forcibly maintained is long, and fuel may be wasted.
[0006]
An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel supply control method and a fuel supply control device that can reliably purify NOx with an exhaust purification catalyst when returning from a fuel cut and that does not waste fuel. .
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the following, means for achieving the above object and its effects are described.
The fuel supply control method for an internal combustion engine according to claim 1 executes air-fuel ratio feedback correction for the fuel supply amount, and supplies the air-fuel ratio feedback correction from the air-fuel ratio reference correction position when returning from the fuel cut operation. A fuel supply control method for an internal combustion engine that performs rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut recovery that increases stepwise toward an increasing amount, and an atmosphere in which an exhaust gas purifying catalyst capable of storing oxygen that is disposed in an exhaust system is exposed The degree of rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut return is set based on the history ofThe air-fuel ratio reference correction position is learned during the air-fuel ratio feedback correction, and when the air-fuel ratio reference correction position is not yet learned when returning from the fuel cut operation, The fuel supply amount is increased stepwise from the temporary reference position set according to the comparison between the incomplete learning position obtained by learning and the air-fuel ratio reference correction position set before the learning. Execute rich skip correction when returning from fuel cutIt is characterized by that.
[0008]
By setting the degree of rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut return based on the atmosphere history to which the exhaust purification catalyst is exposed in this way, a necessary and sufficient amount of fuel is reduced immediately after returning from the fuel cut. Can be supplied to the exhaust purification catalyst.
[0009]
In addition, since the supply of the reducing agent is performed by air-fuel ratio feedback correction, the fuel gradually converges from the rich side to the theoretical air-fuel ratio side after the rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut return. As a result, the exhaust purification catalyst is quickly reduced by the rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut return immediately after the return from the fuel cut, and the fuel concentration can be reduced while sufficiently suppressing the generation of NOx by the rich atmosphere. NOx can be reliably purified by the exhaust purification catalyst without unnecessarily consuming fuel.
[0024]
on the other hand,When performing rich skip correction when returning from fuel cutIsIn some cases, learning or relearning of the air-fuel ratio reference correction position is incomplete. In such a case, there is a possibility that the current air-fuel ratio reference correction position (the air-fuel ratio reference correction position that was set before learning) may deviate from the actual. However, there is a risk of fuel deficiency.
[0025]
For this reason, if the learning of the air-fuel ratio reference correction position is incomplete, instead of the current air-fuel ratio reference correction position, the incomplete learning position obtained by the learning up to the present time and the current air-fuel ratio reference correction position are compared. The rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut return is executed from the provisional reference position set accordingly. As a result, it is possible to execute the rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut return from the actual air-fuel ratio reference correction position or a position close thereto, and it is possible to suppress excess or deficiency of fuel.
[0026]
Claim2In the internal combustion engine fuel supply control method described in claim3The temporary reference position is set in a range from the incomplete learning position to the air-fuel ratio reference correction position set before the learning.
[0027]
More specifically, the temporary reference position is set in a range from the incomplete learning position to the current air-fuel ratio reference correction position. This makes it possible to easily suppress excess and deficiency of fuel..
[0030]
Claim3In the internal combustion engine fuel supply control method described in
[0031]
The lower the temperature of the internal combustion engine, the more easily the air-fuel ratio becomes rich due to the liquid fuel that wets the path from the vicinity of the fuel supply section to immediately before the combustion chamber at the start of combustion. For this reason, the air-fuel ratio is prevented from becoming excessively rich by reducing the degree of rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut recovery as the internal combustion engine temperature becomes lower. This can prevent wasteful fuel consumption.
5. The fuel supply control method for an internal combustion engine according to claim 4, wherein air-fuel ratio feedback correction is performed on the fuel supply amount, and the air-fuel ratio feedback correction is supplied from the air-fuel ratio reference correction position when returning from the fuel cut operation. A fuel supply control method for an internal combustion engine that performs rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut recovery that increases stepwise toward an increasing amount, and an atmosphere in which an exhaust gas purifying catalyst capable of storing oxygen that is disposed in an exhaust system is exposed Based on this history, the degree of rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut return is set, and the degree of rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut return is made smaller as the internal combustion engine temperature becomes lower.
On the other hand, the lower the temperature of the internal combustion engine, the more easily the air-fuel ratio becomes rich due to the liquid fuel that wets the path from the vicinity of the fuel supply unit to immediately before the combustion chamber at the start of combustion. For this reason, the air-fuel ratio is prevented from becoming excessively rich by reducing the degree of rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut recovery as the internal combustion engine temperature becomes lower. This can prevent wasteful fuel consumption.
[0032]
Claim5The fuel supply control device for an internal combustion engine is a fuel supply control device for an internal combustion engine in which an exhaust gas purification catalyst capable of storing oxygen is arranged in an exhaust system, and a fuel cut that stops fuel supply according to an operating state of the internal combustion engine Means, air-fuel ratio feedback control means for performing air-fuel ratio feedback correction on the fuel supply amount to achieve the target air-fuel ratio based on the air-fuel ratio detection information, and history of the atmosphere to which the exhaust purification catalyst is exposed When the air-fuel ratio feedback control is started by the air-fuel ratio feedback control means upon return from the fuel cut operation by the fuel cut means, the air-fuel ratio reference is corrected by the air-fuel ratio feedback correction. The fuel supply amount is increased stepwise from the correction position to the increase amount side, and the stepwise increase amount is And fuel cut return during rich skip correction means to be changed in accordance with the history that has been detected in the gas purification catalyst history detection meansAn air-fuel ratio reference correction position learning means for learning the air-fuel ratio reference correction position during execution of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction by the air-fuel ratio feedback control means, and the fuel cut return rich skip correction means, If learning of the air-fuel ratio reference correction position by the air-fuel ratio reference correction position learning means is incomplete at the time of return from the fuel cut operation by the fuel cut means, the air-fuel ratio reference correction position learning means up to the present time An air-fuel ratio that increases the fuel supply amount stepwise from the temporary reference position set according to the comparison between the incomplete learning position obtained by learning and the air-fuel ratio reference correction position set before the learning. Perform feedback correctionIt is characterized by that.
[0033]
The rich skip correcting means at the time of fuel cut return changes the degree of stepwise increase in the fuel supply amount based on the atmosphere history detected by the exhaust purification catalyst history detecting means. Thus, a necessary and sufficient amount of fuel can be supplied as a reducing agent to the exhaust purification catalyst immediately after returning from the fuel cut.
[0034]
In addition, the rich skip correction means at the time of fuel cut return uses the air-fuel ratio feedback correction performed by the air-fuel ratio feedback control means to execute supply of the reducing agent by stepwise increase of the fuel supply amount. After that, the air-fuel ratio feedback control means gradually converges from the rich side to the theoretical air-fuel ratio side by the function of the air-fuel ratio feedback control means. As a result, air-fuel ratio feedback correction is performed so that the exhaust purification catalyst is quickly reduced immediately after returning from the fuel cut, and the fuel concentration can be lowered while sufficiently suppressing the generation of NOx by the rich atmosphere. . Therefore, NOx can be reliably purified by the exhaust purification catalyst without unnecessarily consuming fuel.
[0051]
on the other hand,When the fuel supply amount is increased stepwise by the rich skip correction means when returning from fuel cutIsIn some cases, learning or relearning of the air-fuel ratio reference correction position by the air-fuel ratio reference correction position learning means is incomplete. In such a case, the current air-fuel ratio reference correction position (the air-fuel ratio reference correction position set before learning) may be deviated from the actual, and the fuel supply amount by the rich skip correction means at the time of fuel cut return There is a high possibility that excess or deficiency of fuel will occur in the stepwise increase.
[0052]
For this reason, if learning of the air-fuel ratio reference correction position by the air-fuel ratio reference correction position learning means is incomplete, the rich skip correction means at the time of fuel cut return returns to the air-fuel ratio reference correction position learning instead of the current air-fuel ratio reference correction position. The fuel supply amount is stepwise increased from the temporary reference position set in accordance with the comparison between the incomplete learning position obtained by the learning up to the present time by the means and the current air-fuel ratio reference correction position. As a result, it is possible to execute stepwise increase of the fuel supply amount from the actual air-fuel ratio reference correction position or a position close to this, and it is possible to suppress excess or deficiency of fuel.
[0053]
Claim6In the internal combustion engine fuel supply control device described in claim5The fuel cut return rich skip correction means sets the temporary reference position in a range from the incomplete learning position to the air-fuel ratio reference correction position set before the learning.
[0054]
As described above, the rich skip correction means at the time of fuel cut return sets the temporary reference position, so that excess or deficiency of fuel can be easily suppressed..
[0057]
Claim7In the internal combustion engine fuel supply control device described in claim5 or 6In the above, the internal combustion engine temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of the internal combustion engine is provided, and the rich cut correcting means at the time of fuel cut return is such that the air-fuel ratio decreases as the internal combustion engine temperature detected by the internal combustion engine temperature detecting means decreases. The amount of increase in the air-fuel ratio feedback correction in which the fuel supply amount is increased stepwise from the reference correction position to the increase amount side is reduced.
[0058]
The lower the temperature of the internal combustion engine, the more easily the air-fuel ratio becomes rich due to the liquid fuel that wets the path from the vicinity of the fuel supply section to immediately before the combustion chamber at the start of combustion. For this reason, the rich skip correction means at the time of fuel cut recovery is in a state where the air-fuel ratio is excessively rich by reducing the degree of stepwise increase in the fuel supply amount as the internal combustion engine temperature detected by the internal combustion engine temperature detection means decreases. Is prevented. This can prevent wasteful fuel consumption.
9. The fuel supply control apparatus for an internal combustion engine according to claim 8, wherein an exhaust purification catalyst capable of storing oxygen in an exhaust system is disposed in the internal combustion engine, and the fuel supply is stopped in accordance with an operating state of the internal combustion engine. The fuel cut means for performing the air-fuel ratio feedback control for the fuel supply amount to achieve the target air-fuel ratio based on the air-fuel ratio detection information, and the exhaust purification catalyst are exposed. When the air-fuel ratio feedback control is started by the air-fuel ratio feedback control means at the time of return from the fuel cut operation by the fuel cut means, the air-fuel ratio feedback correction is performed. The fuel supply amount is increased stepwise from the air-fuel ratio reference correction position to the increase side, and the step increase is increased. The fuel cut return rich skip correction means for changing the degree of fuel according to the history detected by the exhaust purification catalyst history detection means, and the air-fuel ratio reference during the execution of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction by the air-fuel ratio feedback control means An air-fuel ratio reference correction position learning means for learning a correction position; and an internal combustion engine temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of the internal combustion engine, and the rich skip correction means at the time of fuel cut return is connected to the internal combustion engine temperature detection means. The degree of increase in the air-fuel ratio feedback correction in which the fuel supply amount is increased stepwise from the air-fuel ratio reference correction position to the increase side as the detected internal combustion engine temperature decreases.
On the other hand, the lower the temperature of the internal combustion engine, the more easily the air-fuel ratio becomes rich due to the liquid fuel that wets the path from the vicinity of the fuel supply unit to immediately before the combustion chamber at the start of combustion.

[0066]
When the value of the oxygen storage change amount oinc is obtained in step S116 or step S118, the oxygen storage amount cfcosc is updated and a new oxygen storage amount cfcosc is obtained as shown in the following equation 1 (S120).
[0067]
[Expression 1]
cfcosc <-cfcosc + oinc ... [Formula 1]
Here, cfcosc on the right side is the oxygen storage amount obtained in the previous control cycle, and cfcosc on the left side is the oxygen storage amount newly obtained this time.
[0068]
Next, it is determined whether or not the newly obtained oxygen storage amount cfcosc is larger than the oxygen storage amount upper limit value oscmax of the exhaust purification catalyst 14 (S122). If cfcosc> oscmax (“YES” in S122), the oxygen storage amount upper limit value oscmax is set in the oxygen storage amount cfcosc (S124), and this process is temporarily terminated.
[0069]
On the other hand, if cfcosc ≦ oscmax (“NO” in S122), it is determined whether or not the oxygen storage amount cfcosc ≦ 0 (g) (S126). If cfcosc ≦ 0 (“YES” in S126), the oxygen storage amount cfcosc is set to 0 (S128), and this process is temporarily terminated.

[0072]
Next, based on an air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF and a base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m), which will be described later, a fuel injection valve opening time TAU is calculated by the following equation 2 (S212).
[0073]
[Expression 2]
Here, K1 and K2 are correction coefficients including a warm-up increase, a start increase, and the like. “M” of the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) represents the operating range of the
[0074]
Then, the fuel injection valve opening time TAU is output (S214), and this process is temporarily terminated.
Next, the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process executed by the
[0075]
When this process is started, it is first determined whether or not a condition for performing air-fuel ratio feedback control is satisfied (S310). This condition is, for example, as follows.
(1) Not at start-up.
[0076]
(2) The fuel is not being cut.
(3) Warm-up is complete. (For example, cooling water temperature THW ≧ 40 °)
(4) The
[0077]
If any one of the above (1) to (4) does not satisfy the condition, the air-fuel ratio feedback control is not permitted (“NO” in S310), and the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is set to “0.0”. The setting is made (S312), and the process is temporarily terminated.
[0078]
If all of the above conditions (1) to (4) are satisfied (“YES” in S310), it is next determined whether or not it is immediately after returning from the fuel cut (S314). If it is immediately after the return from the fuel cut (“YES” in S314), the
[0079]
The fuel cut return rich skip correction amount rsrfc thus determined is set to the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF (S318).
Next, “OFF” is set to the air-fuel ratio flag XOX (S320), “OFF” is set to the state maintaining flag XOXO (S322), and this processing is once ended.
[0080]
On the other hand, if it is not immediately after the return from the fuel cut (“NO” in S314), it is determined from the oxygen concentration output Vox of the
[0081]
Next, it is determined whether or not the air-fuel ratio flag XOX and the state maintenance flag XOXO match (S328). If XOX = XOXO (“YES” in S328), it is assumed that leaning is continuing, the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is increased by an integral amount a (S330), and this process is temporarily terminated.
[0082]
On the other hand, if XOX ≠ XOXO (“NO” in S328), the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is increased by the skip amount A (A> 0), assuming that it is reversed from rich to lean (S332). The skip amount A is set to a sufficiently large value compared to the integral amount a. Next, the value of the air-fuel ratio flag XOX is set in the state maintenance flag XOXO (S334), and this process is temporarily ended.
[0083]
If it is determined in step S324 that the air / fuel ratio is not lean (“NO” in S324), the air / fuel ratio XOX is set to “ON” on the assumption that the air / fuel ratio appearing in the exhaust component is rich (S336). Next, it is determined whether or not the air-fuel ratio flag XOX and the state maintenance flag XOXO match (S338). If XOX = XOXO (“YES” in S338), it is assumed that rich is continuing, the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is decreased by the integral amount b (b> 0) (S340), and this process is temporarily terminated. To do.
[0084]
On the other hand, if XOX ≠ XOXO (“NO” in S338), the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is reduced by the skip amount B (B> 0) assuming that it is reversed from lean to rich (S342). The skip amount B is set to a sufficiently large value compared to the integral amount b. Next, the value of the air-fuel ratio flag XOX is set in the state maintenance flag XOXO (S344), and this process is temporarily ended.
[0085]
The air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process is executed as described above to repeatedly obtain the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF for adjusting the air-fuel ratio to the target air-fuel ratio (here, the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio).
[0086]
The learning of the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) is performed when the learning condition is satisfied and the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient average value FAFAV described later is smaller than, for example, “0.98”. The learning value is finally determined by repeating the process of gradually decreasing the value of the coefficient KG (m) and gradually increasing the value of the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) when the value is larger than “1.02”. . As long as the learning condition is repeated, the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) is repeatedly learned and updated.
[0087]
This base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) corresponds to the “air-fuel ratio reference correction position”, and is the center when the basic fuel injection valve opening time TP is corrected by the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF from the relationship of
[0088]
The air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient average value FAFAV is obtained as an average value of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF. For example, the average value of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF when XOX ≠ XOXO in the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation processing of FIGS. 6 and 7 (“NO” in S328 or “NO” in S338) is calculated. This is the value obtained.
[0089]
An example of control by the processing described above is shown in the timing chart of FIG. The air-fuel ratio feedback control is stopped when the fuel cut is started at time t0. As a result, the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is set to “0.0”, so that among the coefficients “FAF + KG (m)” for correcting the basic fuel injection valve opening time TP in the

After the time t0 when the fuel cut is started, air is supplied to the
[0091]
Thereafter, when returning from the fuel cut (time t2), air-fuel ratio feedback control is started. At this time, immediately after returning from the fuel cut, steps S316 and S318 of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation processing (FIGS. 6 and 7) are executed, and the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF includes the oxygen storage amount at this time. A relatively large fuel cut return rich skip correction amount rsrfc corresponding to cfcosc is set. Accordingly, the air-fuel ratio can be made particularly rich immediately after the return from the fuel cut, and then gradually approaches the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio by the processing of FIG. 7, and small skips are repeated if compared with the rich skip correction amount rsrfc at the time of the fuel cut return. become. In this process, the oxygen storage amount cfcosc returns to “0 (g)” (time t3).
[0092]
When the fuel cut occurs again (time t4), the oxygen storage amount cfcosc gradually increases from zero. Then, before the oxygen storage amount cfcosc reaches the oxygen storage amount upper limit oscmax, the fuel cut is restored and the air-fuel ratio feedback control is started (time t5). In this case, since the oxygen storage amount cfcosc is smaller than that at time t2, the rich skip correction amount rsrfc at the time of fuel cut return is also correspondingly small.
[0093]
Then, when the driver returns the

In the above-described configuration, when the operating conditions set for executing the fuel cut are satisfied, the process of stopping the fuel injection from the fuel injection valve 8 and stopping the combustion in the
[0095]
According to the first embodiment described above, the following effects can be obtained.
(I). At the time of return from the fuel cut, the rich skip correction amount rsrfc at the time of fuel cut return is changed based on the oxygen storage amount cfcosc in steps S316 and S318 of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation processing (FIGS. 6 and 7). Thus, the stepwise increase width of the fuel supply amount at the time of return from the fuel cut can be changed according to the oxidation / reduction atmosphere history of the
[0096]
Moreover, steps S316 and S318 are executed as part of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process (FIGS. 6 and 7) at the time of fuel cut recovery, and the fuel supply amount is increased stepwise using the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF. Since the supply of the reducing agent is executed, the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process (particularly FIG. 7) gradually converges from the rich side to the theoretical air-fuel ratio side. As a result, air-fuel ratio feedback correction is performed so that the

(C). In the oxygen storage amount cfcosc calculation process (FIG. 2), the oxygen storage change amount oinc is obtained from the current intake air amount GA, and the oxygen storage amount cfcosc is calculated by integrating the oxygen storage change amount oinc. The oxygen storage amount cfcosc appropriate for setting the return rich skip correction amount rsrfc can be easily estimated.
[0099]
[Embodiment 2]
In the present embodiment, immediately after returning from the fuel cut, the value of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is reset by changing the learning area of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF, etc., and the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m The processing in the case of returning to () will be described.
[0100]
In the present embodiment, in the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process (FIGS. 6 and 7), the process shown in FIG. 10 is executed instead of FIG. FIG. 7 is also common to this embodiment. Further, the process shown in FIG. 11 is executed instead of the oxygen storage amount cfcosc calculation process (FIG. 2).
[0101]
10 and 11, the same processes as those in FIGS. 6 and 2 of the first embodiment are indicated by the same step numbers. FIG. 10 differs from FIG. 6 of the first embodiment in that the rich correction execution flag XRSRFC at the time of fuel cut return is set to “ON” in the process executed immediately after the fuel cut (“YES” in S314). If the process (S319) is included and the feedback condition is not satisfied ("NO" in S310), the process of setting the rich correction execution flag XRSRFC at the time of fuel cut return is set to "OFF" (S313). It is a point.
[0102]
Also, FIG. 11 differs from FIG. 2 of the first embodiment in that when the catalyst activation is not completed (“NO” in S110), the fuel cut return rich correction execution flag XRSRFC is set to “OFF”. This includes a setting process (S113). Further, when the oxygen storage amount cfcosc ≦ oscmax (“NO” in S122), Steps S125-1 and S125-2 are executed. That is, if the oxygen storage amount cfcosc ≦ the oxygen storage amount lower limit determination value oscx (“YES” in S125-1), the fuel cut return rich correction execution flag XRSRFC is set to “OFF” (S125-2). This oxygen storage amount lower limit determination value oscx (corresponding to a reference value) is a value for determining the necessity of maintaining the rich state of the air-fuel ratio, and is preset in the range of 0 ≦ oscx <oscmax.
[0103]
Further, in the present embodiment, the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF reset process shown in FIG. 12 is executed. This process is a process that is repeatedly executed at regular time intervals. When the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF reset process (FIG. 12) is started, it is first determined whether or not a reset condition for the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is satisfied (S350). As the reset condition, for example, when the learning area region (the index m) of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF described above is switched, or when the learning area of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is switched according to the presence or absence of purge from the canister. In order to prevent the catalyst odor of the
[0104]
If the reset condition is not satisfied (“NO” in S350), the process is temporarily terminated as it is.
If the reset condition is satisfied (“YES” in S350), it is then determined whether or not the fuel cut return rich correction execution flag XRSRFC is “OFF” (S352). If XRSRFC = “OFF” (“YES” in S352), the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is reset (S354). That is, FAF = “0.0”. In this way, this process is once completed.
[0105]
On the other hand, if XRSRFC = “ON” (“NO” in S352), the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is not reset, and this process is temporarily terminated. The situation where XRSRFC = “ON” means that in the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process (FIG. 10), immediately after returning from the fuel cut (“YES” in S314), the oxygen storage amount cfcosc calculation process (FIG. 11). ) In step S125-1 until it is determined that cfcosc ≦ oscx. During this period, even if a reset condition for the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is satisfied and a request is made to restart the air-fuel ratio feedback control from the position of the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m), the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is reset. Execution will be prohibited.
[0106]
An example of processing in this embodiment is shown in a timing chart of FIG. The transition from time t10 to t12 is the same as that from time t0 to t2 described in FIG. By returning from the fuel cut (time t12), the air-fuel ratio feedback control is started after executing a skip of a large value (= rsrfc) of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF. During the period from time t12 to the oxygen storage amount cfcosc ≦ oscx (time t14), the rich correction execution flag XRSRFC = “ON” at the time of fuel cut return. For this reason, even when a request for resetting the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF occurs between times t12 and t14 (time t13, FIG. 12: “YES” in S350), the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is reset (dashed line). (FIG. 12: “NO” in S352). Therefore, as shown by the solid line, the air-fuel ratio continues to be in a rich state.
[0107]
In the configuration described above, steps S350 and S354 of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF reset process (FIG. 12) are replaced with the reference correction position feedback means, and step S352, the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process (FIG. 10). Steps S125-1 and S125-2 of S319 and the oxygen storage amount cfcosc calculation process (FIG. 11) correspond to the process as the reference correction position feedback prohibiting means.
[0108]
According to the second embodiment described above, the following effects can be obtained.
(I). The effect of the first embodiment is produced.
(B). During execution of air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF reset processing (FIG. 12), the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is set to “0” to return to the state of only the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m). Feedback correction may be resumed. The air-fuel ratio gradually converges from the rich side to the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio after such a reset process of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF after stepwise increase of the fuel supply amount accompanying the fuel cut return shown in FIG. If it occurs at the time (time t12 to t14), the air-fuel ratio immediately returns to the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio. Therefore, there is a possibility that the
[0109]
[Embodiment 3]
In the present embodiment, the air-fuel ratio reference correction position is set when the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m), which is the reference position for rich skip correction at the time of fuel cut return, is in the learning incomplete state when returning from the fuel cut. Shows about.
[0110]
In the present embodiment, the process of FIG. 14 is executed instead of FIG. 6 of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process with respect to the configuration of the first embodiment. Other configurations are the same as those in the first embodiment.
[0111]
Here, in FIG. 14, the same processing as in FIG. 6 of the first embodiment is indicated by the same step number. FIG. 14 differs from FIG. 6 of the first embodiment in that steps S317-1 and S317-2 are included in the processing executed immediately after the fuel cut (“YES” in S314). That is, if it is immediately after the fuel cut return (“YES” in S314), first, the rich skip correction amount rsrfc at the time of fuel cut return based on the oxygen storage amount cfcosc of the
[0112]
If learning of the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) has been completed (“YES” in S317-1), the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is rich in the fuel cut return rich time calculated in the immediately preceding step S316. The skip correction amount rsrfc is set as it is (S318). Then, “OFF” is set to the air-fuel ratio flag XOX (S320), “OFF” is set to the state maintenance flag XOXO (S322), and this processing is once ended.
[0113]
On the other hand, when learning of the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) is not completed, that is, for the currently used base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m), a new base sky ratio is updated to update this value. When the fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) is being calculated (“NO” in S317-1), the air / fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is calculated by the calculation shown in the following equation 3 (S317-2). .
[0114]
[Equation 3]
Here, the provisional learning value KKG (m) corresponds to the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) that is incomplete in the learning region m. kr is a reflection coefficient, and here, “1 ≧ kr> 0”.
[0115]
As described in the first embodiment, the increase / decrease process is repeated according to the value of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient average value FAFAV obtained as the average value of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF when the learning condition is satisfied. The air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) is obtained. The base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) that is not determined during the increase / decrease process is represented as a provisional learning value KKG (m). Therefore, “{KKG (m) −KG (m)}” on the right side of
[0116]
As described above,
[0117]
An example of the control according to the present embodiment is shown in the timing chart of FIG. The transition from time t20 to t21 is the same as from time t0 to t1 described in FIG. When returning from the fuel cut (time t22), the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is the rich skip correction amount rsrfc from the temporary reference position of “{KKG (m) −KG (m)} · kr + KG (m)”. Is set to the position where the rich skip is performed, and the air-fuel ratio feedback control is started. In FIG. 15, since KG (m) <KKG (m), the rich skip is performed by the rich skip correction amount rsrfc when returning from the fuel cut from a position higher than the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m). At time t24, learning in the engine operation region m is completed, and the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) is switched to a new one.
[0118]
In the configuration described above, the process of learning the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) is the process as the air-fuel ratio reference correction position learning means, and the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process (FIG. 14) is the rich at the time of fuel cut return. This corresponds to processing as skip correction means.
[0119]
According to the third embodiment described above, the following effects can be obtained.
(I). The effect of the first embodiment is produced.
(B). If learning of the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) (including learning for updating) is incomplete, the current base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) may be deviated from the actual. For this reason, there is a high possibility that excess or deficiency of fuel will occur even if rich skip is performed at the time of fuel cut recovery. In the present embodiment, since the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) being learned is set as the temporary learning value KKG (m), the temporary reference position is set as the reference position for rich skip at the time of fuel cut return. The stepwise increase can be executed from the base air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient KG (m) or from a position close thereto. As a result, excess or deficiency of fuel at the time of fuel cut return can be more reliably suppressed.
[0120]
[Embodiment 4]
In the present embodiment, while the activation of the
[0121]
This embodiment is different from the configuration of the first embodiment in that the process of FIG. 16 is replaced with the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process (FIG. 6) instead of the oxygen storage amount cfcosc calculation process (FIG. 2). Instead, the process of FIG. 17 is executed. Other configurations are the same as those in the first embodiment.
[0122]
Here, in FIGS. 16 and 17, the same processes as those in FIGS. 2 and 6 of the first embodiment are indicated by the same step numbers. FIG. 16 differs from FIG. 2 of the first embodiment in that when the
[0123]
Also, FIG. 17 differs from FIG. 6 of the first embodiment in that immediately after the fuel cut is restored (“YES” in S314), it is determined whether or not the rich skip prohibition flag XFCRSTP at the time of fuel cut restoration is “OFF”. (S315). If XFCRSTP = “OFF” (“YES” in S315), processing for performing rich skip at the time of fuel cut return (S316 to S322) is executed, but if XFCRSTP = “ON” (“NO” in S315) ”), Rich skip at the time of fuel cut recovery is prohibited, and the routine immediately proceeds to normal air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation (FIG. 7). In other words, while the
[0124]
In the configuration described above, steps S110, S113-1, and S113-2 of the oxygen storage amount cfcosc calculation process (FIG. 16) are included in the process as the catalyst activation detection means, and the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process (FIG. 17) is performed. Step S315 corresponds to the processing as rich skip correction prohibiting means at the time of fuel cut return.
[0125]
According to the fourth embodiment described above, the following effects can be obtained.
(I). The effect of the first embodiment is produced.
(B). In a state where the
[0126]
[Embodiment 5]
In the present embodiment, the lower the engine temperature (here, the cooling water temperature THW detected from the cooling water temperature sensor 22), the higher the fuel concentration at the time of fuel cut recovery, and the higher the fuel water concentration THW. The rich skip correction amount rsrfc at the time of fuel cut return is adjusted.
[0127]
In the present embodiment, the process of FIG. 18 is executed instead of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF calculation process (FIG. 6) with respect to the configuration of the first embodiment. Other configurations are the same as those in the first embodiment.
[0128]
Here, in FIG. 18, the same processes as those in FIG. 6 of the first embodiment are indicated by the same step numbers. FIG. 18 differs from FIG. 6 of the first embodiment in that immediately after the fuel cut is restored (“YES” in S314), the rich skip correction amount rsrfc at the time of fuel cut restoration is calculated (S316), and then the step of FIG. Instead of S318, steps S317-1 and S317-2 are executed.
[0129]
In step S317-1, an engine temperature correction coefficient kthw is calculated from the map Mthw shown in FIG. 19 based on the coolant temperature THW. The engine temperature correction coefficient kthw is a coefficient calculated to maintain the fuel concentration at the time of returning from the fuel cut in an appropriate state because the fuel concentration increases when the coolant temperature THW is low at the start of combustion.
[0130]
In the next step S317-2, an air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF at the time of fuel cut return is calculated as in the following equation 4.
[0131]
[Expression 4]
FAF ← rsrfc × kthw [Formula 4]
In the configuration described above, the

[Other embodiments]
(A). In the second embodiment, as long as the oxygen storage amount cfcosc> the oxygen storage amount lower limit determination value oscx after returning from the fuel cut (“NO” in S125-1), the fuel cut return rich correction execution flag XRSRFC = “ “ON” was maintained, and reset execution of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF was prohibited. In addition to this, a condition where cfcosc> oscx, a condition where the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is positive, that is, a condition where the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient FAF is adjusting the fuel supply amount to a richer side than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio, As long as both of the above are satisfied, the rich correction execution flag XRSRFC = “ON” at the time of fuel cut return may be maintained.
[0134]
(B). Each embodiment may be combined, and it becomes more effective to purify NOx with an exhaust purification catalyst without unnecessarily consuming fuel.
