本発明は、眼鏡テンプルの改良、更に詳しくは、簡単な構成でテンプルに弾性衝撃吸収による耐久性を付与することができ、しかも、装飾性にも優れた眼鏡の弾性テンプルに関するものである。

眼鏡を脱着しようとする際、不可避的にテンプルの自由端側が外側に無理に拡開される傾向があり、それが原因となって当該テンプルの基端部分に大きな力が加わり、眼鏡フレームの故障や変形が起こり易かった。

従来、このような弊害を除去するための提案としては、フロント枠とテンプルとをヒンジ連結する蝶番の一方の蝶番駒部品を、テンプル基端部に内装したコイルバネにより弾性的に進退動可能に構成した所謂「バネ蝶番」が存在する(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

しかし、このバネ蝶番は、概して構造が複雑であり、しかもその構成部品が微小であるので、頻繁なテンプル開閉操作によって構成する各部品が摩耗し、直ぐにこの外側拡開動作が甘くなっていまうという不満がある。一方、眼鏡はお洒落のアイテムとしても重用されていることから、機能性だけでなく、外見上の装飾性も非常に重要である。

本発明者が上記課題を解決するために採用した手段を添付図面を参照して説明すれば次のとおりである。
