本発明は、洗浄後の濡れた手を高速空気流の噴射によって衛生的に乾燥処理する手乾燥装置に関するものである。

洗浄後の濡れた手を、タオルやハンカチ等で払拭せず高速空気流の噴射により水分を吹飛ばして乾燥させる手乾燥装置が開発されている。この種の装置の多くは、手を乾燥処理する処理室において吹飛ばされた水を、排水ホースを介して処理するようになっている。例えば、特開平6―62981号公報には処理室の底部に設けられた排水口に排水ホースを接続した装置が示されている。排水ホースの端を、装置の下部に設けたタンクに導き、処理室に生じた水をタンクに貯留し、タンクの扱いによって処理するようにした手乾燥装置が知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記のような従来の手乾燥装置は、手の乾燥処理については気流の運動エネルギーにより水分を吹飛ばすことにより衛生的に行われるものの、手から吹飛ばされた水の処理については必ずしも衛生的な処理がなされていない。即ち、処理室に生じる水の処理は、細長い排水ホースを介して行われており、排水ホースには汚れが堆積しやすく雑菌も繁殖し易い。そして、排水ホースのような構造は清掃し難く、汚れも見えないことから悪臭を放ったりする不衛生な状態のまま放置されることが多くなる。

本発明は、上記した従来の手乾燥装置の排水に係る問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その課題とするところは、清掃性の悪い細長い排水ホース等の排水構造を採らずに、手から吹飛んだ水をできるだけ処理し易い状態におくことのできる衛生的な手乾燥装置を得ることであり、手乾燥装置の水処理に係る構造の簡素化とともに装置の小型化や外観性の向上を図ることである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記課題を達成するために請求項1の発明は、手を出し入れ口から挿抜できる処理室において挿入される濡れた手に送風機による高速空気流を噴射して手に付着した水分を同処理室の奥側へ吹飛ばして乾燥させる手乾燥装置について、その処理室を深底の開放容器構造に構成し、その奥側に上方から処理室の深底に着脱可能に、手から吹飛ばされた水を受容する上部が開放した水容器を設ける手段を採用する。

【発明の実施の形態】
実施の形態1.
図1〜図5によって示す実施の形態は、高速空気流の噴射によって手を乾燥させる手乾燥装置に関するものである。この手乾燥装置は、図1に示すように手挿入口を有する外殻をなす本体箱体1内に組込まれた高圧空気流発生装置2による高圧空気流が出し入れ口5近傍に送られて、出し入れ口5に続く処理室3を構成する手挿入部4内に水分を吹飛ばす手乾燥に関する作動気流としての高速空気流を形成するものである。

手挿入部4は本体箱体1の上部(図1参照)又は正面(図3参照)に、両手を揃えた状態で上下方向や斜め上下方向に挿抜できる、上方の出し入れ口5と両側方の開放した排水路を持たない深底の開放容器構造に構成されている。手挿入部4の底部は、U字状に形成されその中には、水容器6が収められている。水容器6は、上部の開放した容器体に構成され、手挿入部4の開放した側部又は上方から出し入れ可能になっている。

この手乾燥装置では、出し入れ口5から手挿入部4内に両手を揃えた状態で概ね手首付近まで入れると、手を検知する手検知センサーによって手が検知され、制御回路の処理により高圧空気流発生装置2が作動し、エアーノズル8から高い運動エネルギーを持つ高速空気流であるライン状噴流が手挿入部4内に吹出され、挿入された手の表裏に当り手に付着した水分を手挿入部4の奥側へ吹飛ばす。さらに、手挿入部4内で手を挿抜させることによって、手全体に付着していた水分が全て排除され、手が乾燥処理される。そして手の乾燥処理終了後、手を手挿入部4から完全に抜くと、手を検知する手検知センサーで手を抜いたことが検知され、高圧空気流発生装置2が停止する。
