Abstract
Description
【0001】
<請求項1>
【0021】
<請求項2>
【0025】
<請求項3>
【0029】
<請求項4>
【0035】
<請求項5>
【0039】
<請求項6>
【0044】
<請求項7>

<請求項8>
【0054】
<請求項9>
<請求項10>
【0057】
<請求項11>
【0060】
<請求項12>
【0064】
<請求項13>
【0068】
<請求項14>

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a control device for a hybrid vehicle including a heat engine and an electric motor as power sources.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a so-called parallel type hybrid vehicle having two power sources, an engine (heat engine) that generates power by burning fuel and an electric motor that generates power by electric energy, has been put into practical use. In such a parallel type hybrid vehicle, two power sources having different characteristics are appropriately combined in accordance with the traveling conditions of the vehicle to make use of the advantages of each power source and compensate for the disadvantages. For this reason, it is possible to significantly improve the fuel consumption rate and the emission performance while sufficiently securing the power performance of the vehicle.
[0003]
As a hybrid vehicle that travels by appropriately combining two power sources according to traveling conditions as described above, for example, as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-37776, electric power generated using engine output or the like is used. 2. Description of the Related Art A hybrid vehicle having a configuration in which a secondary battery that stores electricity is used as a power supply device that supplies power to an electric motor is known. In such a hybrid vehicle, when the storage amount of the secondary battery decreases, the electric power cannot be sufficiently supplied to the electric motor, and the output of the electric motor cannot be obtained.
[0004]
Therefore, in the control device for a hybrid vehicle described in the above publication, the control contents of the engine, the electric motor, the transmission, the power supply device, and the like are appropriately changed according to the storage amount of the secondary battery. Specifically, in this hybrid vehicle control device, when the storage amount of the secondary battery becomes a predetermined value or less, the engine output is increased and the output of the electric motor is reduced or stopped, so that the engine output of the combination of the power sources is reduced. The ratio is increased. Furthermore, in this hybrid vehicle control device, when changing the control content based on the amount of power stored in the secondary battery, the dependency on the engine output is increased by the amount that the dependency on the electric motor output for vehicle travel is reduced. Thus, a constant driving force characteristic is always obtained.
[0005]
That is, in the hybrid vehicle control device disclosed in the above publication, the control content is changed in advance to reduce the degree of dependence on the electric motor output for vehicle travel, on condition that the storage amount of the secondary battery is equal to or less than a predetermined value. Thus, the influence of the output reduction of the electric motor on the driving force characteristics of the vehicle is reduced.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, if the control contents of the engine, the electric motor, the power supply device, the transmission, etc. are changed as described above based on the charged amount of the secondary battery, the output of the electric motor is reduced due to the insufficient charged amount of the secondary battery. Regardless of this, it is possible to suppress a decrease in the driving force characteristics of the vehicle to some extent.
[0007]
However, in such a hybrid vehicle, there are various situations other than the shortage of the storage amount of the secondary battery, and various situations that cause a reduction in the storage amount of the secondary battery. The situation can be considered. Depending on the situation, there is a difference in the degree of reduction in the output of the electric motor, the time margin from the detection of the situation to the occurrence of the reduction in output, and the influence on the vehicle travel may vary greatly. For this reason, as described in the above publication, it is not always possible to appropriately deal with a decrease in the output of the electric motor simply by changing the control content uniformly on condition that the amount of charge of the secondary battery is equal to or less than a predetermined value. Absent.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object thereof is to more effectively reduce the influence of a decrease in the output of the electric motor in a hybrid vehicle including a heat engine and an electric motor as power sources. An object of the present invention is to provide a control device for a hybrid vehicle capable of performing the above.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the following, means for achieving the above object and its effects are described.
<
The invention described in
[0010]
In the hybrid vehicle that travels by the outputs of the two power sources of the heat engine and the electric motor, when the output of the electric motor decreases, for example, the required power is secured by changing the power distribution of the both power sources, etc. Control of two power sources and power transmission system You It is necessary to change appropriately, and to reduce the influence which the output reduction of the said electric motor has on vehicle travel. However, there are various situations that cause a decrease in the output of the electric motor, such as insufficient power supply capacity of the power supply device, exceeding the appropriate temperature range of the power supply device, insufficient warm-up of the power supply device, and abnormality of the power supply system. And according to each situation, the time margin until the output of the electric motor becomes insufficient, the degree of output decrease, etc. are different, and the influence on the vehicle running is also different.
[0011]
Therefore, in the configuration described in
[0012]
Therefore, according to the configuration described in
[0014]
At least one of the heat engine, electric motor, and power transmission system Each In a hybrid vehicle in which a plurality of different control modes are selectively switched, execution of a specific control mode among the plurality of control modes becomes difficult or impossible when the output of the electric motor is reduced. Sometimes.
[0015]
So, on Of In the configuration, when the occurrence of a situation that causes a decrease in the output of the electric motor is detected by the detection means, the execution of the specific control mode is restricted by the changing means. In addition, at this time, the restriction mode of execution of the specific control mode is switched according to the situation where the occurrence is detected. In other words, in this configuration, execution of a specific control mode is prohibited, switching from another control mode to a specific control mode is prohibited, switching conditions for switching to a specific control mode are changed, or restrictions are imposed such as when to perform restrictions. The mode is changed according to the situation where the occurrence is detected. As a result, an appropriate response can always be achieved regardless of the situation in which the output of the electric motor is reduced.
[0016]
Therefore , Double In a hybrid vehicle that runs while selectively switching a number of control modes, even if the detected situation affects the vehicle running differently, an appropriate response according to the situation can be achieved. As a result, the influence of the output reduction of the electric motor can be reduced more effectively.
[0018]
In a hybrid vehicle that includes two power sources, such as the above-described heat engine and electric motor, and travels by selectively switching the plurality of control modes, as one of such control modes, a power source for the electric motor is used. There is a case where a control mode that cannot be established unless the above operation is assumed. For example, control modes that are highly dependent on the output of the electric motor, such as a control mode in which the output of the electric motor is actively used as torque assist for the output of the heat engine to constantly ensure a high driving force, If the operation as a power source of the motor is not ensured, it cannot be established. For this reason, the influence which the output reduction of an electric motor brings with respect to such a control mode becomes very remarkable.
[0019]
Therefore ,Up When the occurrence of a situation that causes a decrease in the output of the electric motor is detected by the detection means, it cannot be established unless the operation as a power source of the electric motor is assumed as described above. Execution of the control mode in which the influence is enormous is restricted in a manner corresponding to the detected situation.
[0020]
Therefore, even if the vehicle is a hybrid vehicle that executes a control mode that cannot be established unless it is premised on operation as a power source of the electric motor, and may be particularly noticeably affected by a decrease in the output of the electric motor during traveling, The influence can be effectively reduced.
further, The power supply device is a fuel cell, The change mode switching unit prohibits the control relating to the specific control mode when the detection unit detects the occurrence of a situation where the power supply device cannot generate power. To switch the restriction mode by the changing means I am doing so.
[0021]
<Claim 2 >
[0022]
As described above, there may be a plurality of situations that cause a reduction in the output of the electric motor, and the degree of the influence on the reduction in the output of the electric motor may differ depending on each situation. Therefore, the degree of influence of the situation where the occurrence is detected is judged, and then Restriction It is desirable to change the mode appropriately according to the degree of influence.
[0023]
In this regard, the
[0024]
In any case, this
[0025]
<Claim 3 >
[0026]
As described above, even if the execution of a specific control mode is limited in accordance with the detection of the occurrence of a situation that causes a reduction in the output of the electric motor, depending on the degree of influence on the output reduction of the electric motor in the situation where the occurrence is detected, It is desirable to switch the degree of restriction appropriately.
[0027]
So this
[0028]
Therefore, this
[0029]
<Claim 4 >
[0030]
If the control mode is unexpectedly prohibited while the vehicle is traveling in a certain control mode, the traveling state of the vehicle may be changed carelessly, which may cause the driver to feel uncomfortable. For this reason, even in a control mode that is difficult or impossible to execute due to the effect of output reduction, the above prohibition is reserved so that the control mode is not changed unexpectedly while the vehicle is running as long as there is a margin. It is desirable to do.
[0031]
So this
[0032]
On the other hand, if the degree of influence of the detected situation is large and there is no margin, the control mode is immediately prohibited even during traveling in the control mode. By varying the restriction mode in this way, it is possible to reduce the driver's uncomfortable feeling while preferably avoiding the influence due to the decrease in the output of the electric motor.
[0033]
Even if the above-mentioned degree of influence is small and the vehicle continues to travel in a specific control mode, if the situation further deteriorates during that period, the occurrence of a situation with a greater degree of influence is detected and a specific control is performed. The mode will be prohibited.
[0034]
Therefore, this
[0035]
<Claim 5 >
[0036]
As described above, when the degree of influence of the detected situation on the output reduction is small, only the transition to the specific control mode is prohibited, and the control mode is prohibited when the vehicle is traveling in the same control mode. Otherwise, inappropriate switching of the control mode can be reduced, and the driver can feel uncomfortable. However, even in this case, although the degree of influence is somewhat small and there is a relatively large margin, the occurrence of a situation that causes a decrease in output is still detected, so that it is possible to avoid a sense of discomfort to the driver. It is desirable to promptly prohibit traveling in the control mode. On the other hand, if the vehicle is not running, there is less risk that the driver will feel uncomfortable even if the control mode is changed unexpectedly.
[0037]
So this
[0038]
Therefore, this
[0039]
<Claim 6 >
Claims 6 The invention described in
[0040]
In a hybrid vehicle, for example, a secondary battery or a fuel cell, which is used as a power supply source of an electric motor, the temperature of the device itself rises beyond the allowable temperature range when continuously used in a high temperature environment. There is a fear. For this reason, when the temperature of the power supply device rises beyond the allowable temperature range, it is necessary to immediately stop or limit the power supply from the power supply device. In addition, even when the temperature of the power supply device is close to the upper limit of the allowable temperature range, it is desirable to stop or limit the power supply within a possible range in order to prevent further temperature increase.
[0041]
So this claim 6 In the configuration described above, the detection unit is configured to monitor the temperature of the power supply device and detect a plurality of situations including at least an excessive increase in the temperature of the power supply device. If the temperature of the power supply device is not less than a predetermined value lower than the upper limit value and lower than the upper limit value in the vicinity of the upper limit value of the allowable temperature range, the degree of influence of the detected situation on the output decrease is smaller. In an aspect Restriction To change. Further, if the temperature of the power supply device rises and becomes equal to or higher than the upper limit value of the allowable temperature range, in the aspect when the degree of influence is larger. Restriction To change.
[0042]
That is, in this configuration, when the temperature of the power supply device rises to near the upper limit value of the allowable temperature range, it is determined that there is still a certain margin, but that the output of the electric motor may eventually be reduced. And depending on this situation Restriction To implement the changes. Also, if the temperature of the power supply rises above the upper limit, it is judged that the situation is less prone and the situation is Restriction To implement the changes.
[0043]
Therefore, this claim 6 According to the invention described in the above, when the temperature of the power supply device rises, the degree of the influence on the output reduction of the electric motor is judged from the temperature, and the situation is determined according to the situation. Restriction By making this change, it becomes possible to more effectively reduce the influence of the output reduction of the electric motor.
[0044]
<Claim 7 >
Claims 7 The invention described in
[0045]
For example, when the temperature of the power supply device is extremely low (for example, “−20 ° C.”) that is less than or equal to the allowable temperature range, such as at the time of vehicle start in extremely cold, the chemical reaction related to power generation becomes inactive. Therefore, there is a possibility that the power supply will be hindered.
[0046]
So this claim 7 In the configuration described above, the detection means is configured to monitor the temperature of the power supply device and detect a plurality of situations including at least an excessive decrease in the temperature of the power supply device. And if the temperature of the power supply is below the lower limit of its allowable temperature range, Restriction To implement the changes.
[0047]
Incidentally, the temperature of the power supply device is usually lowest when the vehicle is started (when power supply to the power supply device is started), and then rises until the equilibrium temperature is reached. For this reason, once it is confirmed that the power supply device is not at an extremely low temperature when the vehicle is started, the temperature of the power supply device can hardly fall below the lower limit value of the allowable temperature range during traveling. Therefore, when the power supply device is controlled at a low temperature, the power supply device temperature is decreased as described above, as in the power supply device temperature increase described above. Restriction Even if the change is not made step by step, it is possible to appropriately reduce the influence of the output reduction of the electric motor.
[0048]
This claim 7 The structure according to
[0049]
In any case, this claim 7 According to the invention described in (4), it is possible to effectively reduce the influence of a decrease in the output of the electric motor when the power supply device is in a cryogenic state.
[0050]
<Claim 8 >
[0051]
For example, if the power supply capacity of the power supply device decreases due to a decrease in the amount of power stored in the secondary battery or a decrease in the remaining amount of fuel in the fuel cell, the power supply will not be able to be performed sufficiently and eventually the output of the electric motor will decrease. It becomes.
[0052]
So this
[0053]
Therefore, this
[0054]
<Claim 9>
The invention described in claim 9 is directed to the hybrid vehicle control device according to
[0055]
This claim 9 In the configuration described in (1), in a hybrid vehicle that employs a fuel cell as a power supply device, the degree of influence on the output reduction of the electric motor is determined from the remaining amount of fuel that accurately represents the remaining power supply capacity of the fuel cell, depending on the situation. The Restriction Changes will be made. Compared to secondary batteries, etc., where the amount of stored electricity varies while the vehicle is running, the fuel cell can more accurately determine the power supply capacity of the power supply from its remaining fuel, so the power supply capacity of the power supply is insufficient It is possible to more accurately estimate the influence of the decrease in the output of the electric motor caused by.
[0056]
Therefore, according to the ninth aspect of the present invention, in a hybrid vehicle that employs a fuel cell as a power supply device, the effect of a decrease in the output of the electric motor caused by a shortage of power supply capacity of the power supply device is further effectively reduced. Will be able to.
<Claim 10>
The invention described in
[0057]
<Claim 11 >
[0058]
The occurrence of a power supply system abnormality, that is, the occurrence of a system abnormality related to the operation of an electric motor such as a power supply device, an electric motor, or a control circuit thereof affects the output reduction of the electric motor.
[0059]
So this
[0060]
<Claim 12 >
[0061]
As described above, there are various situations that cause a reduction in the output of the electric motor. Depending on the situation, the time margin until the output reduction occurs and the degree of reduction in output may vary. For this reason, when the occurrence of such a situation is detected, the control content of the heat engine, electric motor, power transmission system, etc. is uniformly set. Restriction Anyway, that Restriction It is desirable to change the timing appropriately according to the situation.
[0062]
In that respect, the above claims 12 In the configuration described in, the control is performed based on the detection of the occurrence of the situation. Your restrictions In response to the detected situation, Your restrictions The time will be changed. For this reason, the timing is appropriate for the detected situation. You limit Will come to be. For example, it is controlled according to the time margin from the detection of the occurrence of the above situation until the vehicle becomes inconvenient. Your restrictions If the timing is adjusted, normal control can be continued as long as possible. Similarly, if you have time, you can control until the appropriate time. Your restrictions If this is put on hold, problems such as deterioration in drivability associated with the change can be suitably avoided.
[0063]
In any case, this
[0064]
<Claim 13 >
[0065]
As described above, the time margin from the occurrence detection to the occurrence of inconvenience differs depending on the situation that causes the output of the electric motor to decrease. Your restrictions Can be reserved to a certain extent. On the other hand, such a system Your restrictions Is performed while the vehicle is running, Restriction Depending on the mode, it may lead to deterioration of drivability such as torque fluctuation. Your restrictions If possible, it is desirable to do this while the vehicle is stopped.
[0066]
In this regard, the above claims 13 In the configuration described in the above, the control is performed on the condition that the detection means detects the occurrence of the above situation. Your restrictions The timing is changed between the time of detection and the time when the vehicle is stopped after the detection according to the detected state. For this reason, for example, when there is a time margin from the detection of the above situation to the occurrence of inconvenience, the vehicle is controlled until it is stopped. Your restrictions Can be put on hold. As a result, the control while the vehicle is running Your restrictions Can be reduced. Your restrictions It is possible to effectively reduce problems such as drivability deterioration caused by the above.
[0067]
Therefore, this
[0068]
<Claim 14 >
[0069]
As described above, if the power supply device deviates from the appropriate temperature range due to a temperature rise exceeding the appropriate temperature range or insufficient warm-up, or if the power supply capacity of the power supply device is insufficient, sufficient power to the electric motor is obtained. Power supply may be difficult. Also, the occurrence of an abnormality in the power supply system, that is, the occurrence of a system abnormality related to the operation of the electric motor such as the power supply device, the electric motor, or their control circuit may affect the proper operation of the electric motor.
[0070]
Therefore, the above claims 14 In the configuration described in (1), the temperature of the power supply device, the power supply surplus, and the abnormality of the power supply system are monitored, and a plurality of situations that cause a decrease in the output of the electric motor are detected. By performing the detection in this way, it is possible to accurately grasp the influence on the output reduction of the electric motor, and if the control content is changed in a different manner depending on the situation where the occurrence is detected in this way, Appropriate responses can be taken.
[0071]
Therefore, this

As described above, this hybrid vehicle includes two power sources having different characteristics, that is, an

As shown in FIG. 5, the region where torque assist by the electric motor is performed is set according to the accelerator opening for each gear position. Since the torque required for the rotation of the
[0101]
In the hybrid vehicle according to the present embodiment, as described above, a six-speed transmission mechanism is employed as the gear-
[0102]
When such a gear train configuration is adopted, during high-speed cruise traveling, the sixth speed with a particularly small gear ratio is continuously maintained and the engine speed is kept low, so that fuel efficiency during high-speed traveling can be improved. .
[0103]
However, at the time of “six-speed running” in which the gear ratio is set to be small as described above, the output torque of the

[0105]
However, there are the following problems in adopting a control mode in which traveling in such a state that greatly depends on torque assist of the electric motor is continuously performed.
At the time of “5-speed traveling” or “4-speed traveling”, the engine torque added by the torque assist of the

[0107]
In particular, in a hybrid vehicle that employs a secondary battery in which the amount of stored electricity varies during travel as a power supply device, when the output of the electric motor is reduced due to insufficient power supply, it greatly depends on the torque assist of the electric motor. Adopting the control mode is relatively difficult. Therefore, in a hybrid vehicle employing such a secondary battery as a power supply device, even when the output of the electric motor is reduced, the reduction can be compensated for by the engine torque or even if the total torque is reduced by the amount that the torque assist is lost. The amount of torque assist is limited to a range that does not hinder driving.
[0108]
Incidentally, in the case of a hybrid vehicle that employs the
[0109]
In a fuel cell, normally, power can be supplied stably until the fuel runs out. For this reason, if the fuel cell is adopted as the power supply device, the output of the electric motor can be more stably and continuously ensured as compared with the case where a secondary battery in which the amount of stored electricity fluctuates during traveling is adopted. . As described above, in the fuel cell, the output reduction of the electric motor due to insufficient power supply cannot occur very frequently, and the shortage of the remaining amount of fuel that causes such power supply shortage can be easily predicted. Even in a control mode in which traveling in a state largely dependent on assist is continuously performed, it can be adopted relatively easily.
[0110]
However, even if it is a hybrid vehicle that employs such a fuel cell as a power supply device, if the fuel in the fuel cell runs out, torque assist by the electric motor cannot be performed. Further, factors other than the shortage of fuel may cause a decrease in the output of the

Note that the hybrid vehicle according to the present embodiment includes a
[0118]
Next, an actual procedure for limiting the execution of such “six-speed traveling” will be described in detail with reference to a flowchart.
FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing an “execution determination routine” for restricting execution of the “six-speed traveling”. This routine is periodically executed by the

In the present embodiment, the “target control” in the flowchart of FIG. 6 refers to a hybrid such as the

It is determined whether or not it has increased to ("THHi <THFC <THHD") or higher.

[0126]
Even when it is determined that these “fuel cell fuel shortage” or “fuel cell temperature limit” has occurred, there is a certain amount of time before power supply becomes impossible. There are cases where the torque assist by the

[0129]
On the other hand, in the case of prohibiting the above “six-speed travel” that frequently uses torque assist in response to the occurrence of a situation that causes a decrease in the output of the
[0130]
Therefore, in the “execution determination routine”, as will be described below, the target control (“6-speed traveling”) is limited so as to avoid the execution of the prohibition that gives a sense of incongruity as much as possible.
[0131]
As described above, when the occurrence of “fuel shortage of fuel cell” or “exceeding proper temperature range of fuel cell” is confirmed and the process proceeds to step 160, “6-speed running” is performed in the subsequent processes. Process to limit.
[0132]
In
If “six-speed running” is not being executed (step 160: “NO”), it is a matter of course that a sense of incongruity due to forced prohibition cannot occur. For this reason, if it is determined here that “six-speed running” is not being executed, the process proceeds to step 150, the “six-speed running” is prohibited, and the process of this routine is once ended. Here, if “six-speed running” is prohibited, shifting to the sixth speed is prohibited during the period until the situation causing the output reduction of the
[0133]
On the other hand, if it is determined that “6-speed traveling” is being executed at that time (step 160: “YES”), the process proceeds to subsequent step 170.
In step 170, it is determined whether or not the vehicle is stopped at that time. Incidentally, in the present embodiment, “6-speed traveling” is set as the “target control”, and if “6-speed traveling” is being executed (step 160: YES), it is clear that the vehicle is not stopped. Therefore, this step 170 may be skipped and the process may be shifted to step 180.
[0134]
If the control that can be executed even when the vehicle is stopped is “target control” as in the second to fourth embodiments described later, the “target control” is executed if the vehicle is stopped. Even if it is prohibited, a sudden change in the driving force characteristic during the running cannot occur, and the driver does not feel uncomfortable. Therefore, in such a case, if the vehicle is stopped at that time (step 170: “YES”), the process proceeds to step 150 as in the case where the above “target control” is not being executed (step 160: “YES”). Then, after prohibiting the execution of “target control”, the processing of this routine is temporarily terminated.

On the other hand, if the situation has not yet been reached and there is still room (step 190 AND step 200: “NO”), the processing of this routine is once terminated. In this case, the warning

As described above, if “fuel shortage of fuel cell” or “exceeding the appropriate temperature range of fuel cell” occurs, the driver should be able to provide as much time as possible as long as there is enough time to reach the point where power supply cannot be achieved. “Six-speed driving” is prohibited in a situation that does not give a sense of incongruity.
[0142]
Next, a case where “insufficient warm-up of fuel cell” or “detection of system abnormality” is detected will be described.
In this routine, if these “fuel cell warm-up insufficiency” or “system abnormality detection” is confirmed in

[0161]
In addition, the control apparatus of the hybrid vehicle of 1st Embodiment demonstrated above can also be changed as follows.
In the first embodiment, the torque assist characteristic is set so that a relatively large torque assist is performed during “six-speed traveling”. However, the setting mode of the torque assist characteristic at each gear stage is arbitrary. For example, the torque assist characteristic may be set so that the same relatively large torque assist is performed for traveling at another specific gear stage such as “5-speed”. Even in such a case, it is possible to limit the execution of the traveling at the specific shift stage set to perform relatively large torque assist or the switching to the same shift stage by the processing of the “execution determination routine”. If it does so, the effect according to the said 1st Embodiment can be acquired.
[0162]
In addition, in the above embodiment, a 6-speed gear train configuration is adopted, but the gear train configuration of the hybrid vehicle is arbitrary, and the specification relating to the torque assist control according to the above embodiment and the above “execution determination routine” Control relating to travel at the shift speed or switching restriction to a specific gear can be similarly applied to a control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle that employs another gear train configuration. Even in such a case, the execution of the traveling at the specific shift stage set to perform the large torque assist or the switching to the same shift stage is limited by the process of the “execution determination routine”. If it does so, the effect according to the said 1st Embodiment can be acquired.
[0163]
(Second Embodiment)
Next, a second embodiment that embodies the hybrid vehicle control device according to the present invention will be described focusing on differences from the first embodiment.
[0164]
As described above, in the hybrid vehicle including the two power sources of the
[0165]
On the other hand, in recent years, in some vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, a second shift operation that can change the shift position more easily can be performed in addition to a normal shift lever operation (first shift operation). An operation system is adopted. In a vehicle equipped with such an operation system, these shift operations can be switched by the driver's selection.
[0166]
In the “second shift operation”, the shift range can be switched more easily and arbitrarily by a relatively simple operation such as an operation of a shift up / shift down switch provided on the steering wheel. Therefore, the driver can change the shift range more sporty by selecting the “second shift operation”.
[0167]
Note that it is considered that such a “second shift operation” is selected when the driver is seeking a sportier vehicle. For this reason, when the “second shift operation” is selected, as in the case of “six-speed traveling” in the first embodiment, a larger torque assist is performed to improve the driving force characteristics of the vehicle than usual. By doing so, it is possible to provide a more sporty driving according to the driver's request.
[0168]
Therefore, in the hybrid vehicle control device of the present embodiment, in order to meet such a demand, in the “second shift operation mode” in which the “second shift operation” is selected, the normal shift lever operation is selected. Torque assist greater than that in the “first shift operation mode” is performed. Hereinafter, torque assist control according to the shift operation mode in the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.
[0169]
FIG. 7 shows an example of setting torque assist characteristics in each of these shift operation modes. FIG. 7 shows the relationship between the engine torque with respect to the accelerator opening and the total torque when the “second shift operation mode” is selected. Incidentally, in the present embodiment, the “target mode” in FIG. 7 means the “second shift operation mode”, and the “non-selection” of the “target mode” means the above “first shift operation”. It means “select” of “mode”.
[0170]
In the setting example shown in FIG. 7, the torque assist characteristics are set when each shift operation mode is selected based on the operation of the shift

[0173]
As a result, when the “second shift operation mode” is selected, a suitable driving force characteristic is ensured and a more sporty travel is allowed. However, on the other hand, fuel efficiency is reduced to some extent, and high fuel efficiency cannot be ensured as usual, but the engine can be made smaller than when only the same driving force characteristics are secured by the engine. The fuel efficiency can be improved by that much.
[0174]
As described above, if a larger torque assist is performed only when the “second shift operation mode”, which is considered to have a high demand on the driving force characteristics of the vehicle, the fuel efficiency during normal driving can be improved. The driver's request can be satisfied while maintaining a high level.
[0175]
Even when such a control configuration that implements a relatively large torque assist when the “second shift operation mode” is selected is adopted, as in the “six-speed running” in the first embodiment, There is a possibility that the output reduction of the

[0179]
Further, when the occurrence of a situation where torque assist cannot be performed immediately as described in the above (situation c) to (situation f) is detected,
(Action c ′) At this time, even if the “second shift operation mode” is selected, the mode is immediately canceled and the mode is forcibly switched to the “first shift operation mode”.
Implement the following actions.

As described above, this embodiment is also affected by the output reduction of the
[0181]
According to the hybrid vehicle control device of the present embodiment described above, the effects according to the above (1) to (9) can be obtained, and the effects described below can be further obtained.
[0182]
(12) Still further, in the hybrid vehicle control device of the present embodiment, when the degree of influence is small and there is a time margin, the time when execution of the specific control mode is prohibited (forcing the “shift operation mode”) The time when the vehicle is released is when the vehicle is stopped. As a result, the influence of the prohibition of execution of the control mode on the driver can be more preferably avoided. Therefore, the influence of the forced release of the control mode on the vehicle running and the driver can be further effectively reduced according to the situation at that time.
[0183]
(13) In the hybrid vehicle according to the present embodiment, when the “second shift operation mode”, which is considered that the driver is requesting a more sporty vehicle travel, is selected, significant torque assist is performed by the

[0185]
In addition, the control apparatus of the hybrid vehicle of 2nd Embodiment demonstrated above can also be changed as follows.
The setting mode of the torque assist characteristic in the second embodiment is arbitrary, so that the above request can be met when selecting the “second shift operation mode” which is considered to require sporty vehicle travel. If a larger torque assist can be implemented, the torque assist characteristic may be set in any manner.
[0186]
In the above embodiment, as a specific control mode in which greater torque assist is performed and execution is restricted by the processing of the “execution determination routine”, the shift range changing operation can be performed more easily. ”Shift operation mode” is set, but the torque assist according to the above embodiment is applied to a vehicle capable of switching an operation (“shift operation mode”) that is different from the above embodiment in changing the shift range and the gear position. It is also possible to apply the setting of characteristics or the restriction of execution of a specific control mode by the “execution determination routine”. For example, the present invention can also be applied to a vehicle that can switch between a shift operation mode in which a normal shift range switching operation is performed and a shift operation mode in which a single shift stage is changed manually. In short, when selecting a shift operation mode that is considered to require more sporty vehicle travel, torque assist characteristics are set according to the selection of the “second shift operation mode”, and the shift operation mode is executed. Is limited in a manner according to the “execution determination routine”, the effect according to the second embodiment can be obtained.
[0187]
(Third embodiment)
Next, a third embodiment that embodies the control device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention will be described focusing on differences from the first and second embodiments.
[0188]
Conventionally, in vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, instead of the normal driving mode, a driving mode suitable for driving on an uphill road (“power driving mode”) that requires higher driving torque than usual is operated. Have been made selectable by the person. In vehicles adopting such a “power running mode”, in accordance with the selection of the “power running mode”, the power transmission system such as a change of the automatic transmission speed change condition or a lockup execution condition is usually changed. By appropriately changing the control content, a higher driving torque is ensured even under the same vehicle speed condition.
[0189]
Incidentally, in the case of a hybrid vehicle provided with the two power sources as described above, the high driving torque required when the “power running mode” is selected can be secured by the torque assist of the

Therefore, in the present embodiment, based on the operation of the power
[0191]
Even in the case of adopting such a control configuration that performs a large torque assist when the “power running mode” is selected, the “6th speed running” or the “second shift operation” in the first or second embodiment described above is used. As in the case of “mode” selection, a decrease in the output of the

In addition, the control apparatus of the hybrid vehicle of 3rd Embodiment demonstrated above can also be changed as follows.
The setting mode of the torque assist characteristic in the third embodiment is arbitrary, and if a larger torque assist can be performed when the “power running mode” is selected, the torque assist characteristic can be set to any aspect. Good.
[0198]
-For vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, it is conventionally determined that the vehicle is traveling on an uphill road based on the relative relationship between the vehicle speed and the throttle opening, and is high due to, for example, switching to a high-speed gear. Some perform "hill climbing control" to ensure driving force characteristics. A driving force characteristic higher than usual may be required other than when the “power running mode” is selected, such as during the execution of “uphill road control”. Therefore, when executing a specific control mode that requires such a high driving force characteristic other than when the “power running mode” is selected, torque assist by the
[0199]
(Fourth embodiment)
Next, a fourth embodiment that embodies the control device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention will be described focusing on differences from the first to third embodiments.
[0200]
Conventionally, in some vehicles equipped with a gasoline engine as a heat engine, combustion is performed such that the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture sucked into the cylinder is leaner than the normal stoichiometric air-fuel ratio, for example, during low-load operation. Combustion mode switching control is employed to improve the specific heat ratio and reduce cooling loss by changing the mode.
[0201]
An engine that switches between combustion at such a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio (“stoichiometric combustion”) and combustion at an air-fuel ratio leaner than that (“lean combustion”) has a maximum output compared to “theoretical air-fuel ratio combustion”. Therefore, it may be difficult to ensure the driving torque according to the running conditions during “lean combustion”. In addition, the presence of a torque step for each combustion method may cause inadvertent fluctuations in driving force characteristics of a running vehicle, resulting in problems such as deterioration in drivability.
[0202]
In the case of a hybrid vehicle having the above two power sources, such a shortage of driving torque or generation of a torque step is generated by supplementing the decrease in engine torque required for switching the combustion method with torque assist of the electric motor. Can be eliminated. Therefore, in the hybrid vehicle control device of the present embodiment, torque assist by the
[0203]
FIG. 8 shows a setting example of the torque assist characteristic according to such a combustion method.
In the setting example of FIG. 8, at the time of “5-speed traveling” and “6-speed traveling”, not only the combustion method selected at that time but also torque assist by the

Even in the present embodiment, traveling with “lean combustion” requires relatively large torque assist, and thus may be affected by a decrease in the output of the
[0205]
Therefore, even in the present embodiment, in the form according to each of the above embodiments, the execution limit of the travel in “lean combustion” is performed by the processing of the “execution determination routine” shown in FIG. Yes. In the present embodiment, the “target control” in FIG. 6 corresponds to the control related to traveling in “lean combustion” requiring relatively large torque assist as described above.
[0206]
In this embodiment as well, as in the “second shift operation mode” in the second embodiment, traveling in “lean combustion” affected by a decrease in the output of the

According to the hybrid vehicle control device of the present embodiment described above, effects similar to the effects described in the above (1) to (9) and (12) are obtained, and further, the effects described below are obtained. Will be able to.

In the above embodiment, the case where the combustion method of the
[0212]
In the above embodiment, the case where the torque assist by the electric motor is performed to compensate for the engine output decrease due to the switching of the combustion method has been described. However, the torque assist is performed in a situation where the engine output decreases due to other factors. May be. For example, at high altitudes where the atmospheric pressure is low, the amount of oxygen supplied to the engine is reduced and the engine output is reduced. Therefore, if altitude or atmospheric pressure is detected and torque assist with an electric motor is performed to compensate for the decrease in engine output when the altitude is high or the atmospheric pressure is low, it is always moderate regardless of altitude or atmospheric pressure. Drive characteristics can be ensured. If the execution of such torque assist is limited in a manner according to the “execution determination routine”, the effects described in (1) to (9) and (12) can be obtained.

(Other embodiments)
Then, the example of a change of the control apparatus of the hybrid vehicle of each above embodiment is listed below.

If the reduction amount of the torque assist amount is appropriately set according to the output reduction degree of the
