【0001】

(BS−IF+PILOT、CS−IF)は、それぞれ、送信側の周波数変換手段としてのミキサ37a、37bにて、局部発振器36が発生したアップコンバート用の局発信号と混合されて、ミリ波帯(例えば60GHz帯)にアップコンバートされる。 (BS−IF+PILOT、CS−IF)は、各信号をそれぞれ選択的に通過させるBPF38a、38bを介して、ミリ波帯用の増幅回路39a、39bに入力され、各増幅回路39a、39bにて更に増幅された後、送信アンテナ40、41から受信装置50に向けて個々に再送信される。
【0064】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In the present invention, the transmission signal to be transmitted to the receiving device is up-converted to the millimeter wave band on the transmitting device side and wirelessly transmitted, and the receiving device side receives the transmission radio wave and down-converts the received signal to restore the original signal. The present invention relates to a millimeter wave band transmission / reception system for restoring a transmission signal, and a transmission device and a reception device suitable for constructing this system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in order to wirelessly transmit a broadband signal with high quality, the transmission device should up-convert the transmission signal to be transmitted to the reception device to the millimeter wave band using the local signal generated by the local oscillator. The up-converted signal is radiated from the transmission antenna, and the reception device side receives the transmission radio wave from the transmission antenna at the reception antenna, and the reception signal is transmitted using a local oscillation signal having the same frequency as that of the transmission device side. A millimeter-wave band transmission / reception system configured to restore an original transmission signal by performing frequency conversion is known.
[0003]
By the way, in this kind of millimeter wave band transmission / reception system, the frequency of the local oscillation signal used for frequency conversion on the transmission device side and the reception device side is a millimeter wave band of several tens of GHz. There is a problem that it is difficult to accurately restore the original transmission signal on the side. In other words, due to the frequency difference between the local oscillator signals on the transmitting device side and the receiving device side, the transmission signal frequency-converted on the receiving device side also causes a frequency shift, and the transmission quality deteriorates.
[0004]
In order to solve such problems, the following techniques (1) and (2) have been proposed.
(1) The transmission side transmits the transmission signal after frequency conversion and the transmission side local signal used for frequency conversion of the transmission signal at the same time, and the reception side transmits the transmission side transmitted from the transmission side. A technique of restoring a transmission signal by generating a reception side local oscillation signal using a local oscillation signal and down-converting the reception signal using the generated reception side local oscillation signal (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
(2) From the transmission device side, the transmission signal, the pilot signal of a constant frequency, and the transmission side local oscillation signal are mixed, so that the transmission signal and the pilot signal are simultaneously up-converted into the millimeter wave band and sent to the reception device side. At the receiving device side, the received signal is mixed (so-called square detection) by a difference component detection mixer, so that a signal having a frequency difference between the transmission signal after up-conversion and the pilot signal (in other words, the transmitting side station) A technique for generating a transmission signal by generating a signal from which a fluctuation component of the emission signal is removed, and mixing the signal with a pilot signal having the same frequency as a pilot signal generated on the transmission device side (for example, Patent Documents) 2).
[0005]
According to these techniques, the receiving device can accurately restore the original transmission signal before the transmission device up-converts, and wirelessly transmits a broadband signal for transmission / reception of the transmission signal. Since a possible millimeter wave band is used, for example, a multi-channel transmission signal such as a television broadcast signal can be retransmitted wirelessly.

[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described prior art, since it is necessary to transmit a signal transmitted from the transmitting station and a pilot signal separately from the transmission signal to be wirelessly transmitted to the reception device, the transmission device actually transmits the multi-channel transmission signal wirelessly. When trying to transmit, there is a problem that the transmission power from the transmission antenna decreases due to the characteristics of the signal amplifier provided on the transmission side, and the distance over which the transmission radio wave can be transmitted is shortened.
[0008]
That is, first, since the power that can be transmitted in the millimeter wave band is regulated by the Radio Law etc., the signal output level of the signal amplifier provided on the transmission side may be set according to the transmission power. When the wave number (number of channels) of the transmission signal to be amplified increases, distortion is likely to occur due to the power addition of the transmission signal of each channel.
[0009]
Therefore, as described above, when a multi-channel transmission signal and a pilot signal (including a signal originating from the transmitting side) are simultaneously transmitted from the transmission device, transmission to the signal amplifier is performed in order to ensure a desired signal quality. The input level of the signal needs to be reduced (backoff is taken).
[0010]
As a result, the transmission power of the radio wave transmitted from the transmission antenna is also reduced, and the transmittable distance of the radio wave (in other words, the transmission signal) is shortened.
In order to solve this problem, a signal amplifier provided on the transmission side may be a high-power amplifier that hardly generates distortion. However, it is difficult to manufacture such an amplifier, and even if it can be manufactured, it is extremely expensive. Therefore, it is difficult to increase the number of millimeter-wave band transmission / reception systems with such measures.
[0011]
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and by transmitting simultaneously an up-converted transmission signal and a pilot signal having a constant frequency from the transmission device, the transmission signal can be accurately down-converted on the reception device side. In a millimeter wave band transmission / reception system, an object is to easily realize multi-channel transmission signals without shortening the transmittable distance of transmission signals.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
TakeMade to achieve the purposeClaims 1 and 2The described millimeter-wave band transmission / reception system includes a transmission device that up-converts a multi-channel transmission signal to the millimeter-wave band, radiates a signal after the up-conversion and a pilot signal having a constant frequency in the millimeter-wave band, and a transmission The receiving apparatus receives a transmission radio wave from an antenna at a receiving antenna and down-converts the received signal based on a pilot signal to restore a transmission signal.
[0013]
Then, the transmission apparatus divides the multi-channel transmission signal into a plurality of frequency bands, up-converts the transmission signals of each frequency band, radiates them from different transmission antennas, and transmits a pilot signal from one of the transmission antennas. The reception device receives the transmission radio wave from each transmission antenna of the transmission device with one reception antenna.
[0014]
That is, in the millimeter waveband transmission / reception system of the present invention, a transmission signal to be transmitted to the receiving device side is divided into a plurality of frequency bands, and the divided transmission signal and pilot signal are transmitted from a plurality of transmission antennas, respectively. Thus, the transmission power required to transmit all signals is distributed to a plurality of transmission antennas. Further, since each divided transmission signal is amplified by an amplifier, the number of waves is reduced as compared with a case where transmission signals are collectively amplified by a single amplifier, so that a back-off necessary for ensuring desired signal quality is achieved. Can be reduced.
[0015]
Therefore, according to the present invention, even when a multi-channel transmission signal is transmitted / received, the multi-channel transmission signal and the pilot signal can be transmitted simultaneously with a desired transmission power. The transmission distance can be increased.
[0016]
Further, since the receiving device can receive the transmission radio wave from the transmitting device with one antenna, the cost of the receiving device is not increased. Therefore, the millimeter wave band transmission / reception system of the present invention can be more effective when applied to a system that distributes transmission signals from a transmission device to a plurality of reception devices.
[0017]
Here, since the pilot signal transmitted from the transmission apparatus to the reception apparatus is for allowing the transmission apparatus to accurately restore the transmission signal, the transmission signal is transmitted when the technique (1) is used. What is necessary is just to set it as the signal originating from the transmission side station used for the device to up-convert the transmission signal, and when using the technique (2), it may be an arbitrary pilot signal.
[0018]
However, in the technique of (1), the receiving apparatus side must extract the signal originating from the transmitting side from the received signal in the millimeter wave band. For this purpose, the millimeter wave band having a stable frequency characteristic is required. However, it is extremely difficult to manufacture such a filter with the current technology, and even if it can be manufactured, it is extremely expensive. There is a problem that it is difficult to actually build.
[0019]
Further, in the technique (2), the fluctuation component of the signal originating from the transmission side is removed by the square detection of the received signal including the pilot signal on the receiving device side, so that the technique is more practical than the technique (1). However, in order to squarely detect the received signal, it is necessary to make the pilot signal high with respect to the transmission signal that is the modulation signal. Therefore, even if the multi-channel transmission signal is frequency-divided The transmission power of the transmission signal is limited due to the transmission of the pilot signal, and there is a limit to lengthening the transmittable distance.
[0020]
Therefore,In the millimeter waveband transmission / reception system according to claim 1, the transmission device includes:Each frequency band transmission signal is up-converted using a common signal originating from the transmitting side, and for transmission signals belonging to one of a plurality of frequency bands, a constant frequency pilot signal is simultaneously up-converted. To convert the pilot signal to millimeter wave banddo it,The pilot signal after frequency conversion is radiated from one transmitting antenna together with the transmission signal that is simultaneously up-converted.Furthermore, the pilot signal before up-conversion is configured to be transmitted to the receiving device via a second transmission path composed of a transmission line,On the receiving device side, the received signal is down-converted using the signal from the receiving-side local station, and the pilot signal obtained by the down-conversionSo as to match the frequency of the pilot signal transmitted from the transmitting device via the second transmission path,Controls the frequency of the signal received from the receiving stationTo do.
[0021]
Therefore, according to the millimeter waveband transmission / reception system of claim 1,On the receiving device side, it is only necessary to extract the pilot signal after down-converting the received signal. Therefore, compared with the case where the signal originating from the transmitting side is extracted from the received signal in the millimeter wave band, an inexpensive filter is used. The pilot signal can be extracted easily, and the frequency of the signal originating from the receiving station is the pilot signal after down-conversion.So that the frequency of the pilot signal coincides with the frequency of the pilot signal transmitted directly from the transmitter via the second transmission pathSince it is controlled, the transmission signal is also accurately restored to the one before being up-converted on the transmission device side.
[0022]
Further, on the transmission device side, it is not necessary to make the pilot signal higher than other transmission signals for square detection, so that the transmittable distance of each signal can be increased.
Therefore,Claim 1According to the described invention, it is possible to realize a millimeter-wave band transmission / reception system that can transmit and receive a multi-channel transmission signal with high accuracy and can set a transmission distance of the transmission signal to a desired distance easily and at low cost. Become.
[0023]
By the way, claim 1When constructing the system described in, the transmission side local station signal used for up-converting the transmission signal divided for each frequency band on the receiving device side does not necessarily have to be common, and each transmission signal has a dedicated Up-converting to a different frequency band in the millimeter wave band usingGood. And for this, a millimeter wave band transmission and reception system,What is necessary is just to comprise as described in Claim 2.
[0024]
That is, claim 2In the millimeter wave band transmission and reception system described inIsTransmitterBut,Each transmission signal in each frequency band is up-converted to a different frequency band in the millimeter wave band by using a dedicated transmission side station originating signal, and each transmission signal has a different frequency when up-converting. By simultaneously up-converting each pilot signal of a constant frequency, each pilot signal is frequency converted to the millimeter wave band, and the pilot signal after frequency conversion is radiated from one transmitting antenna together with the transmission signal that has been up-converted at the same time.In addition, a plurality of pilot signals before up-conversion are configured to be transmitted to the receiving device via a second transmission path composed of transmission lines.
[0025]
Further, the receiving device divides the received signal into a plurality of received signals composed of a transmission signal and a pilot signal that are up-converted using a dedicated transmission side local oscillation signal on the transmitting device side, and for each of the divided received signals The received signal is down-converted by using the receiving side local signal corresponding to the transmitting side local signal used for up-conversion on the transmitting device side, and obtained by the down-conversion.pluralPilot signalAre used to down-convert the received signal so that the frequencies of the pilot signals coincide with the frequencies of the pilot signals transmitted from the transmitting device via the second transmission path. The frequency of the signal from the receiving stationRespectivelyControl.
[0026]
And thisClaim 2The millimeter-wave band transmission / reception system described in the above describes that when transmitting signals are frequency-converted (up-converted and down-converted) by a transmitting device and a receiving device, different transmissions are made for each transmission signal divided into a plurality of frequency bands on the transmitting device side. , And at the time of up-conversion on the transmission device side, the pilot signal corresponding to each transmission signal is simultaneously up-converted, and the reception device side uses the pilot signal corresponding to each transmission signal to The point that controls the local oscillation signal isClaim 1Although it is different from the described millimeter-wave band transmission / reception system, the basic operation isClaim 1Because it is the same as the millimeter-wave band transmission / reception system described inClaim 1It is possible to obtain the same effect as the millimeter waveband transmission / reception system described in 1.
[0029]
Next, claim 3The invention described inClaims 1, 2Is applied to a system that retransmits a satellite broadcast intermediate frequency signal received and down-converted by a satellite reception antenna from a transmission device to a reception device as a transmission signal.
[0030]
And thisClaim 3According to the millimeter-wave band transmission / reception system described in the above, the transmitter divides the satellite broadcast intermediate frequency signal into a plurality of frequency bands, and up-converts each of the divided intermediate frequency signals to the millimeter wave band, Radio transmission from a plurality of transmission antennas to a reception device, and the reception device receives the transmission radio wave and down-converts to accurately restore the intermediate frequency signal of the satellite broadcast and output it to the satellite broadcast receiver become.
[0031]
So thisClaim 3According to the millimeter wave band transmission / reception system described in 1), the reception signal (BS / CS-IF signal) from the satellite reception antenna is transmitted to the satellite broadcast receiver via a transmission line made of a coaxial cable or the like as in the prior art. There is no need, and a satellite broadcast receiving system can be constructed very easily.
[0032]
Also, for example, in a joint reception system that receives a television broadcast and transmits the received signal to a plurality of terminals, transmission of transmission lines and transmission devices (amplifiers, distributors, branching units, etc.) constituting the joint reception system Even if the possible frequency corresponds only to the frequency band (up to 770 MHz) of terrestrial television broadcasting such as VHF and UHF, and the intermediate frequency signal (1 to 2 GHz) of satellite broadcasting cannot be transmitted,Claim 3Can be used to distribute satellite broadcast intermediate frequency signals to each terminal without changing the transmission lines and transmission equipment that make up the joint reception system to satellite broadcast compatible types. As a result, it is possible to improve services in existing housing complexes.
[0033]
In particular, in the present invention, it is possible to increase the distance (transmittable distance) at which the transmission signal can be wirelessly transmitted from the transmission device to the reception device. And can successfully retransmit the satellite broadcast.
[0034]
next,Claims 4 and 6The present invention relates to a transmission apparatus that up-converts a multi-channel transmission signal to a millimeter wave band and radiates a signal after the up-conversion and a pilot signal having a constant frequency in the millimeter wave band from a transmission antenna.
The transmission apparatus includes a plurality of transmission antennas, and the transmission signal dividing unit divides a multi-channel transmission signal into a plurality of frequency bands corresponding to the number of transmission antennas, and a transmission-side frequency conversion unit includes The transmission signal of each divided frequency band is up-converted using a signal transmitted from the transmission side station, and each of the up-converted signals is radiated from each of the transmission antennas. The pilot signal is generated and radiated from one of the transmission antennas.
[0035]
In particular, according to claim 4.In the transmitterIsEach frequency conversion means on the transmission side up-converts the transmission signal in each frequency band using a common transmission side local oscillation signal, and the pilot signal generation means converts the generated pilot signal to the frequency conversion means on the transmission side. The pilot signal is up-converted to the millimeter wave band by outputting to one of the transmitters, and the pilot signal after up-conversion is simultaneously radiated from the transmitting antenna together with the up-converted transmission signal. In addition, the pilot signal generated by the pilot signal generating means and before being up-converted by the frequency conversion means on the transmission side is configured to be transmitted to the receiving device via the second transmission path composed of the transmission line. The
[0036]
on the other hand,Claim 5The invention described inClaim 4The receiving device includes a receiving antenna that receives a transmission radio wave from the transmitting device. In this receiving apparatus, the frequency conversion means on the reception side restores the multi-channel transmission signal and pilot signal by down-converting the reception signal from the reception antenna using the reception-side local oscillation signal, The local frequency control means uses the restored pilot signal frequency. And the frequency of the pilot signal transmitted from the transmitting device via the second transmission path match.Controls the frequency of the receiving side station signal.
[0037]
So thisClaim 5And the receiving device described inClaim 4If you use the transmitter described inClaim 1As described above, the millimeter wave band transmission / reception system can be constructed with high quality, and the transmission signal transmission distance can be set to a desired distance as described above. A transmission / reception system can be realized easily and at low cost.
[0038]
Next,Claim 6In the transmitterIsEach frequency conversion means on the transmission side up-converts the transmission signal in each frequency band to a different frequency band in the millimeter wave band using a dedicated transmission side local oscillation signal, and the pilot signal generation means mutually frequency A plurality of pilot signals with different values are generated, and the generated pilot signals are output to the frequency conversion means on the transmission side, respectively. In addition to up-converting to a waveband, the pilot signal after up-conversion is simultaneously radiated from each transmitting antenna along with the up-converted transmission signal. In addition, a plurality of pilot signals generated by the pilot signal generation means and before being up-converted by the frequency conversion means on the transmission side are transmitted to the receiving apparatus via the second transmission path composed of the transmission line. Composed.
[0039]
on the other hand,Claim 7The invention described inClaim 6The receiving device includes a receiving antenna that receives a transmission radio wave from the transmitting device. In this receiving apparatus, the reception signal dividing unit divides the reception signal from the reception antenna into frequency bands in which each transmission frequency conversion unit of the transmission apparatus up-converts the transmission signal and the pilot signal, A plurality of reception side frequency conversion means, for each of the divided reception signals, a reception signal, a reception side station corresponding to a transmission side local oscillation signal used by each frequency conversion means on the transmission side of the transmission device for up-conversion. By down-conversion using the generated signal, the transmission signal of each frequency band divided by the transmission signal division means of the transmission device and the pilot signal up-converted with the transmission signal are restored.AndLocal frequency control means was restored by each frequency conversion means on the receiving side.pluralPilot signal frequencyAre used by each frequency conversion means for down-conversion of the received signal so that the frequencies of the pilot signals transmitted from the transmission device via the second transmission path are matched with each other. The frequency of the signal originating from the receiving side is controlled.
[0040]
So thisClaim 7And the receiving device described inClaim 6If you use the transmitter described inClaim 2The millimeter-wave band transmission / reception system described in 1 can be constructed, and the above-described effects can be obtained. The
