BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a polyamide resin composition, and more particularly to a flame retardant polyamide resin composition.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, several methods have been proposed for flame-retarding polyamides, but generally, a method of adding a flame retardant to a polyamide and mixing it is used. As flame retardants, halogen flame retardants, nitrogen compounds, metal-containing compounds, etc. are known, but when halogen flame retardants are used, the safety of the gas generated during combustion is questioned. When a metal compound is used, the flame retarding effect is insufficient.
[0003]
As for nitrogen compounds, for example, JP-A-50-105744, JP-A-53-31759 and the like add triazine compounds such as melamine, cyanuric acid, and melamine cyanurate to polyamide to improve flame retardancy. Techniques for making them disclosed are disclosed. However, even in these methods, when an inorganic filler, particularly a fibrous material such as glass fiber, is blended with polyamide, there is a drawback that the flame retardancy is lowered due to the action of the core of the candle. The so-called plate-out phenomenon that sublimates and adheres to the mold, etc. occurs, resulting in defective mold release, rough appearance of the molded product, or blooming phenomenon in which part of the flame retardant precipitates on the molded product surface. There was a drawback.
[0004]
Further, for example, JP-A-53-49054 discloses a flame retardant composition containing melamine phosphate, but it is compatible with polyamide simply by adding a salt of phosphoric acid and melamine. Therefore, the workability during extrusion kneading is difficult and the appearance of the molded product is impaired.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a polyamide resin composition having excellent thermal properties, surface appearance, mechanical properties, and excellent flame retardance in addition to the excellent properties inherent to polyamide.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the gist thereof is that polyphosphoric acid and melam or 100 parts by weight of a resin component comprising a polyamide resin or a polyamide resin and a thermoplastic resin other than the polyamide resin. the salt composed of a melam derivative blended with 50 parts by weight of an inorganic filler 0-300 parts by weight Ri Na, the polyamide resin is from xylylenediamine and alpha, the ω- linear aliphatic dibasic acid Polyamide resin to be obtained or polyamide resin obtained from xylylenediamine and α, ω-linear aliphatic dibasic acid and nylon 66 and / or nylon 6 mixed polyamide resin (however, xylylenediamine and α, ω -The blending ratio of nylon 66 and / or nylon 6 to 1 part by weight of polyamide resin obtained from linear aliphatic dibasic acid is 1 Be 0 parts by weight or less) we reside in the polyamide resin composition characterized.
[0007]
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail.
Polyamide resins in the present invention, key Siri diamine and alpha, .omega.-linear aliphatic dibasic acid as obtained from the polyamide resin (hereinafter, also referred to as MX nylon), or the xylylenediamine alpha, .omega. a mixed polyamide resin of the polyamide resin and nylon 66 and / or nylon 6 obtained from a linear aliphatic dibasic acids, and more preferably, a mixed polyamide resin of MX nylon and nylon 66.
[0008]
When the polyamide resin is a resin of MX nylon and nylon 66 and / or nylon 6, the blending ratio of nylon 66 and / or nylon 6 with respect to 100 parts by weight of MX nylon is 0 to 100 parts by weight, preferably 0 to 80 parts by weight. Parts by weight.
[0009]
Examples of the thermoplastic resin other than the polyamide resin in the present invention include polystyrene resin, ABS resin, AES resin, AS resin, olefin resin, methacrylic resin, polycarbonate resin, polyacetal resin, polyphenylene ether resin (PPE resin), modified PPE resin, Thermoplastic resins such as polyester resin, polysulfone resin, polyimide resin, polyphenylene sulfide resin, polyarylate resin, polyether sulfone resin, polyether ketone resin, polyether ether ketone resin, polyester carbonate resin, amorphous polyamide resin, liquid crystal polymer An alloy resin composition composed of two or more kinds of these resins can be used, and a polyphenylene ether resin (PPE resin) is preferable. If necessary, inorganic, organic fibrous fillers, fillers, stabilizers, ultraviolet absorbers, dyes and pigments can be added to these materials.
[0010]
When the resin component in the present invention is composed of a polyamide resin and a thermoplastic resin other than the polyamide resin, the ratio of the polyamide resin and the thermoplastic resin other than the polyamide resin is preferably 99/1 to 1/99, more preferably. Is 90/10 to 10/90, more preferably 70/30 to 30/70.
[0011]
The polyphenylene ether resin is a polymer having a structural unit represented by the following general formula (1) in the main chain, and may be any of a homopolymer, a copolymer, or a graft polymer.
[0012]
[Chemical 1]
[0013]
In the formula, R 1 is a lower alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and R 2 and R 3 are a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms.
[0014]
Specific examples of the polyphenylene ether resin include poly (2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether, poly (2,6-diethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether, poly (2,6). -Dipropyl-1,4-phenylene) ether, poly (2-methyl-6-ethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether, poly (2-methyl-6-propyl-1,4-phenylene) ether -Tell and the like, preferably, poly (2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether, 2,6dimethylphenol / 2,3,6-trimethylphenol copolymer, and Examples thereof include graft copolymers obtained by grafting styrene.
[0015]
As a specific example of the polyphenylene ether resin, a polyphenylene ether resin with improved compatibility (hereinafter sometimes referred to as modified PPE) is more preferable. The modified PPE is obtained by reacting PPE with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or an acid anhydride thereof.
[0016]
When an unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride is used for modifying PPE, an unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride and PPE can be reacted in a melt-mixed state in the absence of a catalyst to obtain a modified PPE. In this case, the method of melt mixing is not particularly limited, such as a kneader, a Banbury mixer, and an extruder, but it is preferable to use an extruder in consideration of operability. Examples of the acid anhydride of the unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acid include maleic anhydride, itaconic anhydride, citraconic anhydride and the like. Among these, maleic anhydride is particularly preferable.
[0017]
The proportion of the acid anhydride used for modifying PPE is 0.01 to 10 parts by weight, preferably 0.1 to 3 parts by weight, particularly preferably 0.1 to 1 part by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of PPE. is there. When the use ratio of the acid anhydride is 0.01 parts by weight or less with respect to 100 parts by weight of PPE, the effect of improving the compatibility between PPE and nylon is small, and it is difficult to obtain a tough composition. In the case of a usage ratio of more than 1 part, excess acid anhydride is thermally decomposed, resulting in practical inconveniences such as reduced heat resistance and poor appearance.
[0018]
When an unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acid is used for modifying PPE, a radical generator such as benzoyl peroxide, dicumyl peroxide, and cumene hydroperoxide can be used as a catalyst, if necessary. The proportion of unsaturated carboxylic acid used for modification of PPE is 0.01 to 10 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of PPE.
[0019]
In the present invention, the salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative is preferably a compound represented by the following general formula (2).
[0020]
[Chemical 2]
[0021]
In the formula, R 4 and R 5 each represent a hydrogen atom, a cyano group or a guanyl group, preferably a hydrogen atom.
[0022]
The phosphorus content of the salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative is preferably 5 to 15% by weight. If the phosphorus content is less than 5% by weight, the flame retardancy decreases, and if it exceeds 15% by weight, the hygroscopicity increases. The phosphorus content of the salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative is preferably 7 to 12% by weight. The average particle size of the salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative is preferably 50 μm or less. When the average particle diameter exceeds 50 μm, the dispersibility in the polyamide resin is lowered, and the appearance of the molded product is easily affected. The average particle diameter of the salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative is more preferably 0.1 to 30 μm. Specific examples of the salt consisting of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative include melam polyphosphate, cyano melam polyphosphate, guanyl melam polyphosphate, and preferably melam polyphosphate. .
[0023]
A salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative is a salt obtained by neutralization reaction of phosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative. For example, phosphoric acid is added to an aqueous solution of melam obtained from melamine and reacted. Then, the reaction product can be obtained by filtering, washing with water and drying, and the product is a white solid, usually used after being pulverized into a fine powder.
[0024]
In general, melam or melam derivatives have better thermal stability than melamine, and hardly sublime even at the molding temperature of the polyamide resin. Known phosphoric acid is used, and specific examples thereof include orthophosphoric acid, phosphorous acid, hypophosphorous acid, and the like, and preferably, orthophosphoric acid that can be industrially mass-produced. Furthermore, in order to improve the solubility and hygroscopicity of orthophosphoric acid in water, it is preferable that a part of orthophosphoric acid is condensed phosphoric acid such as pyrophosphoric acid or metaphosphoric acid.
[0025]
A salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative can also be obtained by the following method. For example, a salt obtained by neutralization reaction between phosphoric acid and melamine or a melamine derivative can be obtained by baking at 300 to 400 ° C. for several hours. At this time, depending on the firing time or firing temperature, the deammonification reaction of melam or melam derivative may partially proceed to produce a salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melem or melem derivative represented by the following formula. Since a small amount can be used without particularly affecting the flame retardancy and mechanical properties, it may be contained in a salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative. The products are all white solids and are usually used after being pulverized into fine powders.
[0026]
[Chemical 3]
[0027]
In the formula, R 6 represents a hydrogen atom, a cyano group or a guanyl group, preferably a hydrogen atom.
[0028]
The blending amount of the salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative is 1 to 50 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin component comprising polyamide resin or polyamide resin and thermoplastic resin other than polyamide resin. If the amount of the salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative is less than 1 part by weight, the flame retardancy is insufficient, and if it exceeds 50 parts by weight, the mechanical properties are lowered. The blending ratio of the salt composed of polyphosphoric acid and melam or melam derivative is preferably 5 to 40 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin component composed of the polyamide resin or the polyamide resin and a thermoplastic resin other than the polyamide resin. Preferably it is 8-30 weight part.
[0029]
As the inorganic filler, a known inorganic filler can be used, and the shape is not particularly limited, and may be any of a fibrous shape, a plate shape, a needle shape, a spherical shape, a powder and the like. The types of inorganic fillers are glass fiber, carbon fiber, talc, mica, glass flake, wollastonite, potassium titanate, magnesium sulfate, sepiolite, zonolite, aluminum borate, glass beads, balloon, carbonic acid. Calcium, silica, kaolin, clay, titanium oxide, barium sulfate, zinc oxide, magnesium hydroxide and the like can be used, and they can be used alone or as a mixture of two or more, preferably glass fiber, talc, calcium carbonate. Can be mentioned.
[0030]
The compounding amount of the inorganic filler is 0 to 300 parts by weight, preferably 5 to 300 parts by weight, with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin component composed of polyamide resin or polyamide resin and thermoplastic resin other than polyamide resin. When the inorganic filler is blended, if the blending amount of the inorganic filler is less than 5 parts by weight, the effect of improving mechanical strength, thermal properties, etc. is small, and if it exceeds 300 parts by weight, the workability is lowered. The blending amount of the inorganic filler is more preferably 10 to 250 parts by weight, and particularly preferably 50 to 150 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin component composed of polyamide resin or a thermoplastic resin other than polyamide resin and polyamide resin. .
[0031]
In the polyamide resin composition of the present invention, in addition to the above components, various additives generally used in polymer materials, such as stabilizers, facial dyes, mold release agents, lubricants, nucleating agents, weather resistance improvers, etc. Can be appropriately blended.
As a manufacturing method of the polyamide resin composition in the present invention, a usual method can be adopted and is not particularly limited. For example, a polyamide resin, a thermoplastic resin other than a polyamide resin, and optionally an inorganic filler and various additives are melted in an arbitrary order using a conventional apparatus such as a vent type extruder or a similar apparatus. The method of kneading is mentioned.
