[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and is a push button type radiator cap assembly that eliminates the disadvantages of the prior art as described above, improves the sealing performance, and improves the reliability of the seal. The purpose is to provide. Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a radiator cap assembly that is simplified in manufacture and simplified in attachment and removal operations to the radiator.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, in a radiator cap assembly including a push button capable of releasing pressure in the radiator in a mounted state,
Push button guide that holds the push button down
A cap with an opening in the center,
Holding means for holding the push guide rotatably relative to the cap and sealing between the push guide and the cap;
A radiator cap assembly, comprising:
Is provided.
[0010]
That is, according to the present invention, the push button guide for holding the push button movably and the cap are not integrally fixed, but the cap is rotatably held relative to the push button guide. is there. For this purpose, a holding means is provided between the push button guide and the cap, and the holding means holds the push button guide and the cap in a relatively rotatable manner. Further, the holding means establishes a sealed state between the cap and the push button guide, and the cap is rotatable with respect to the push button guide, but a sealed state is established between the two. Therefore, the high pressure in the radiator is not inadvertently released to the outside.
[0011]
In one embodiment of the present invention, the holding means has a pair of upper and lower guides fixed to the push button guide, and a gap extending in a predetermined circumferential direction between the pair of guides. The edge of the opening drilled in the center of the cap is inserted into the gap. According to such a configuration, since the push button is provided, even when the internal pressure of the radiator is high, the internal steam or the like can be released to the outside in advance by operating the push button. Yes, so it is always possible to safely remove the radiator cap. In the present invention, since the cap is rotatably held relative to the push button guide, even when the cap is rotated to be gradually tightened to the filler neck of the radiator, the retainer packing or the like is used as the filler packing. -When pressed against the neck, it can be held pressed against the filler neck without rotating, while only the cap can be rotated relatively to establish a tightened state. Therefore, it is avoided that the retainer packing is forcibly rubbed against the filler neck, and undesired cracks are generated in the retainer packing or an undesired external force such as kinking by the fixing portion of the push button guide is applied. There is nothing.
[0012]
Further, in the present invention, the push button guide has a generally cylindrical shape as a whole, and an annular groove having a predetermined depth is formed in the vicinity of the upper end portion thereof. Then, an O-ring is inserted into the annular groove, and an edge portion adjacent to the central opening of each of the pair of upper and lower guides is placed thereon, and the upper end portions are further crimped to form the pair of pairs. The upper and lower guides are fixed to the push button guide. According to such a configuration, the pair of guides are placed on the shoulders forming the annular groove, and contact with the O-ring located in the groove for accurate sealing. It is possible to establish a condition and it is not necessary to provide further rubber packing between the pair of upper and lower guides.

【The invention's effect】
In the present invention, since the push button guide is configured to hold the cap rotatably, the sealing performance between the push button guide and the cap is not deteriorated, and the cap holding performance of the push button guide is deteriorated. It is never done. Therefore, the structure for holding the push button guide cap can be made relatively small. Furthermore, in the cap holding structure of the push button guide, a pair of guides are sandwiched between the shoulder portion and the caulking portion to hold the cap rotatably so that the holding performance can be always set to a certain level. Manufacturing is simplified and the holding performance itself is improved.
