Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a golf ball having excellent discrimination, and relates to a golf ball in which a plurality of at least two types of dimples having different cross-sectional shapes are formed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, it has been known that by appropriately designing and arranging the dimples, the aerodynamic characteristics are improved and the flying performance of the golf ball is improved. In order to improve the flying performance of the golf ball, the dimple is used. There are various proposals in which the arrangement pattern of the dimples and the planar shape and cross-sectional shape of the dimples are variously changed (Japanese Patent Laid-Open Nos. 11-5706 and 2001-170212).
[0003]
On the other hand, during golf play, it is important to be able to easily identify the golf ball hit by one another with respect to golf balls hit by other golfers. Generally, a golf ball has a logo such as a product name or a brand name or a number, and can identify the golf ball during play.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, during golf play, the launched golf ball does not always stop at a position where the logo portion of the golf ball can be seen. For this reason, there is a risk of hitting another person's golf ball by mistake. It is prohibited by the rules to hit another person's golf ball, and a penalty is given. For this reason, it is desired that another person's golf ball and his golf ball can be easily identified. In particular, it is desirable that the golf ball can be identified at a glance from a place several meters away. In addition, in the conventional golf ball, although characteristics such as a flight distance are taken into consideration, there is no golf ball with improved discrimination.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and an object thereof is to provide a golf ball having excellent discrimination.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, an aspect of the present invention is a golf ball in which a plurality of dimples are formed by two types of first dimples and second dimples having different cross-sectional shapes, wherein the first dimples are The first dimple has a side surface portion that changes substantially linearly in the depth direction, and a bottom surface portion that is a plane connected to the side surface portion via a corner portion, and the second dimple has a cross-section. The golf course has a smooth curved shape, and the first dimples are arranged along each side of the spherical polygon and are arranged so as to fill the inside of the spherical polygon. The ball is provided.
[0007]
In this case, the first dimple preferably has an inclination angle of the side surface portion with respect to the depth direction of 0 to 30 °.
Further, it is preferable that an angle formed between the side surface portion and the bottom surface portion on the opening side of the first dimple is 90 ° to 120 °.
[0008]
The spherical polygon is, for example, a spherical triangle, a spherical quadrangle, a spherical pentagon, or a spherical hexagon.
