BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an obstacle detection device that detects an obstacle on a track in order to ensure the safety of passengers who use a train and those who fall on a track from a platform.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as an obstacle detection device for detecting an obstacle on a track, there is one described in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 7-228250. This conventional obstacle detection device has a camera that captures the trajectory and the subject, stores a background image in advance, and compares the difference between the image captured by one camera and the background image. Then, image data indicating the subject is extracted from the image. The size of the subject is estimated based on the image data, and an obstacle is detected from the information obtained by the estimation.
FIG. 12 is a diagram showing an image obtained by imaging by a conventional obstacle detection device. FIG. 12A shows an
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in such a conventional obstacle detection apparatus, since an image is captured by one camera and a subject in the image is measured in a two-dimensional shape, for example, as shown in FIG. Since 1201 is measured with substantially the same size, it is difficult to recognize whether the actual object as a subject is a person or a bird, and erroneous detection has been performed.
The present invention has been made to solve such a problem, and provides an obstacle detection device capable of improving the recognition accuracy of an obstacle on a trajectory.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The obstacle detection device of the present invention includes a stereo camera including a track surface on which a track of a train is laid and a plurality of cameras that capture the same subject, and a plurality of images obtained by imaging with the stereo camera.
