Claims (6)
- 光信号を一端から出射する複数本の入力側光伝送路と、
光信号を一端から入射可能な複数本の出力側光伝送路と、
光信号を一端から入射可能な一本の予備光伝送路と、
端部を互いに平行に配置した前記入力側光伝送路、前記出力側光伝送路及び前記予備光伝送路の各端面に対向させて配置され、複数本の前記入力側光伝送路から出射された各光信号を全反射させて、前記入力側光伝送路のそれぞれに対応する前記出力側光伝送路へ導くためのプリズムと、
前記プリズムの界面に接触したときに、前記プリズムの界面で全反射されていた光信号を前記界面で透過させて取り出すための光学素子と、
前記光学素子により取り出された光信号を前記予備光伝送路へ導く手段と、
複数本の前記入力側光伝送路から出射された光信号が全反射する前記プリズムの界面の一部に接触するそれぞれの位置と、複数本の前記入力側光伝送路から出射された光信号が全反射する前記プリズム界面の一部に接触するいずれの位置からも外れた位置との間で、前記光学素子を移動させるための光学素子位置制御手段と、
を備え、
光信号を光学素子から予備光伝送路へ導く前記手段は、前記光学素子に設けた第1の光反射面と、前記プリズムの界面に接合一体化された補助光学素子と、前記補助光学素子に設けた第2の反射面とからなり、
前記第1の光反射面は、前記プリズムの界面を透過して前記光学素子へ取り出された光信号を前記補助光学素子の方向へ向けて反射し、
前記第2の光反射面は、前記第1の光反射面で反射された光信号を受光して前記プリズムへの入射方向へ偏向させ、
前記補助光学素子は、前記第2の光反射面で偏向された光信号を前記プリズムの界面で透過させて前記プリズムへ光信号を入射させ、さらに予備光伝送路に光信号を入射させることを特徴とする光スイッチ。 - 複数本の前記入力側光伝送路、複数本の前記出力側光伝送路及び前記予備光伝送路の各端部を平行に配列してコネクタにより結束し、横並びに配列された前記入力側光伝送路と前記予備光伝送路の各端面を前記プリズムの一方の斜面に対向させ、横並びに配列された前記出力側光伝送路の各端面を前記プリズムの他方の斜面に対向させ、
前記光学素子が界面に接触していない箇所では、前記入射側光伝送路から出射された光信号は、前記プリズムの二つの斜面で全反射した後、対応する前記出射側光伝送路に入射することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の光スイッチ。 - 前記光学素子位置制御手段は、前記光学素子を前記プリズムの界面に接触又は離間させる手段と、前記光学素子を前記入力側光伝送路の配列方向に沿って移動させる手段とからなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の光スイッチ。
- 前記光学素子位置制御手段は、前記光学素子を前記入力側光伝送路の配列方向に沿って移動させる手段を有し、
前記入力側光伝送路から出射された光が全反射する前記プリズム界面の一部に接触するそれぞれの位置に前記光学素子を位置決めする位置決め手段をさらに備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の光スイッチ。 - 前記位置決め手段は、前記光学素子を位置決め状態と解除状態とに切り換えるためのアクチュエータを備え、
前記アクチュエータは、通電状態で前記光学素子を位置決め状態から解除し、無通電状態で前記光学素子を位置決め状態とすることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の光スイッチ。 - 前記光学素子位置制御手段は、その動力として直動型ボイスコイルモータを用いていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の光スイッチ。
