Description
The present invention relates to a torque detection device attached to an electric power steering device, and more particularly to a torque detection device in which a control unit and a torque sensor are connected by a connector.
The electric power steering device generates a steering assist force by an electric motor, but it is desirable to generate a steering assist force according to a load during steering. For this reason, there is a wide variety of techniques for detecting the torsion angle of the torsion bar using the property that the torsion bar of the steering device is twisted according to the load (torque) at the time of steering, and controlling the electric motor according to this torsion angle. It is used. Such a twist angle is detected by a torque detector.
As a conventional torque detection device, for example, there is one disclosed in
Further, for example, as in
When connecting the torque sensor unit or the like and the control board, it is conceivable to connect the lead wire drawn from the torque sensor unit or the like to the control board via a separately prepared connector. However, since the plurality of terminals provided on the connector are arranged at a constant pitch on the connector, it is difficult for the operator to distinguish between the front and back of the connector when connecting the connector to the control board. For this reason, the terminal of the said connector may be connected in the state which turned the front and back of the connector upside down, and an incorrect connection may be made. When such a connection is performed, the sensor output with respect to the input torque from the torque sensor unit is reversed, and there is a risk of causing an operation failure of the electric motor or the like.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a torque detection device that eliminates an error in the connection work between a connector and a control unit and prevents malfunction of a connected device.
In order to achieve this object, the present invention takes the following technical means.
That is, the present invention provides a lead wire drawn out from a torque sensor unit for detecting torque, a connector connected to the lead wire and a plurality of terminals arranged in parallel, and a plurality of connectors connected in a state where the terminals are inserted. And a control unit provided with a connecting portion, wherein the connector has at least one notch at a position shifted from the central portion of the connector in the direction in which the terminals are arranged side by side. The control unit is provided with a protrusion that can be engaged with the notch when each terminal is properly arranged with respect to each connection, and the connection is A through hole in which the terminal is soldered in a state where the terminal is inserted, and the protrusion and the notch are inserted into the through hole. In state, a torque detecting apparatus characterized by engagement to prevent connector movement in the opposite direction of the insertion direction of the terminal.
By using such a torque detection device, the notch portion of the connector is only in a state where the terminal is properly arranged with respect to each connection portion, that is, when the front and back of the connector on which the terminal is provided is correct. And the protrusion of the control unit engage. For this reason, since the operator should just assemble | attach a connector to a control unit in the position which engages a notch part and a protrusion, a connection work is not mistaken.
Furthermore, the connection part is a through hole to which the terminal is soldered in a state where the terminal is inserted, and the protrusion and the cutout part are terminals in which the terminal is inserted into the through hole. By engaging so as to prevent the connector from moving in the direction opposite to the insertion direction, the connector can be temporarily fixed to the control unit with the terminal inserted through the through-hole, so soldering of the connecting part Easy to improve work efficiency.
In the present invention, the connector has three or more terminals arranged side by side, and the notch is formed between two adjacent terminals, and the first pitch of the two terminals is the other terminal. It is preferable that it is wider than the second pitch.
Thereby, since the first pitch of the terminals provided on both sides of the notch portion is wide, it is easy to perform the notch processing, and the working efficiency when manufacturing the connector is improved. For example, the second terminal may be thinned out from the end of an existing connector in which five terminals are arranged side by side, and a portion facing the terminal may be cut out.
Further, in the case of an existing connector that has already been cut into the terminal portions that can be engaged with the protrusions, it is only necessary to thin out the terminals.
According to the present invention, by properly arranging and connecting the terminal of the connector to the connection portion of the control unit, it is possible to eliminate an error in the connection work between the control unit and the connector and to prevent malfunction of the connected device.
An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIG. 1, in this electric power steering device PS, the
The

A mechanism in which the

On the other hand, the

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3B, a part of the

Regarding the pitches of these
As shown in FIG. 4B, four
As described above, the
Further, a
If the
As shown in FIG. 3, a
Then, each
In this way, the
In the
