水平方向に対向して位置する1対の把持部材をアクチュエータにて接近離間させて、平面視で夫々矩形状の複数の物品が水平方向に並ぶ物品群を両側方から押圧して把持する押圧作動状態と物品群の押圧を解除する押圧解除作動状態とに切り換え自在に構成された把持手段の2台が、前記1対の把持部材の接近離間方向を互いに直交させるように設けられ、
前記2台の把持手段夫々のアクチュエータの作動を制御して、前記2台の把持手段夫々を前記押圧作動状態と前記押圧解除作動状態とに切り換える制御手段が設けられた物品把持装置であって、
前記制御手段は、物品群の把持が指令されると、前記一対の把持部材にて物品群を把持するために押圧する把持用押圧力よりも低い整列用押圧力にて、前記2台の把持手段を同時に前記押圧作動状態に作動させた後、前記2台の把持手段を同時に前記押圧解除作動状態に作動させる整列処理を実行し、続いて、前記把持用押圧力にて前記2台の把持手段を同時に前記押圧作動状態に作動させる把持処理を実行するように構成されている物品把持装置。
