Description
【0001】
すなわち飾り板(透光板)6は先に説明した風路奥壁6aと運転モード表示部6b(この運転モード表示部6bは、発光ダイオードなどの発光源の前面カバーを構成する)とで形成されている。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an indoor unit of an air conditioner, and more particularly to the design and display of an air conditioner.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The indoor unit of the air conditioner is composed of a box body formed of resin that forms the rear part of the indoor unit, a decorative cover body that forms the front part of the indoor unit, and a blow-out unit that forms the lower surface part of the indoor unit Has been. The box body has built-in heat exchangers, blowers, and other equipment that are functional parts of the air conditioner. The decorative cover body has a front grille that sucks room air from the front and the interior from the top. Upper air suction grilles for sucking air are provided, and air filters are accommodated corresponding to the grills. Also, a blow-out air passage that circulates indoor air whose temperature and humidity are harmonized by a heat exchanger is configured, and a wind direction deflecting plate that deflects the flow of the wind is provided near the blow-out opening of the blow-out air passage. . The indoor air sucked into the indoor unit from the front grill at the front and the upper air suction grill at the top is dedusted and dust removed by the air filter, conditioned by the heat exchanger, and blown by the blower. It is sent out into the road, the flow of wind is deflected by the wind direction deflecting plate, and it is blown out into the room again from the outlet.
[0003]
The indoor unit of the air conditioner is installed at a high place near the ceiling of the wall of the room, and harmonizes the indoor space where people live in a comfortable living environment with air that harmonizes the temperature and humidity blown from the high place. It will be going. Recent air conditioners can be operated not only in cooling operations, but also in heating operations, dehumidification operations, and air blows in addition to cooling operations. There are various operation modes such as operation, heating and dehumidifying operation, and timer ON / OFF and air cleaning operation are incorporated, and the function of the air conditioner has been extended to multiple functions.
[0004]
However, since the indoor unit of the air conditioner is installed at a high place near the ceiling of the indoor wall, even if the operation mode display part is provided on the surface of the indoor unit and the operation mode is displayed in characters, it is difficult to see and is not very effective. As a result, it is common for indoor units to have only a few indicator lamps (light-emitting diodes) that can tell whether the power is on or whether the timer mode is operating. .
[0005]
In JP-A-7-63368 (Reference 1), an operation display is provided between the air outlet provided at the lower part of the indoor unit and the air inlet provided at the upper part thereof, near the center in the unit width direction. It is described that a display unit for performing the above is provided.
Also, in order to harmonize the latest indoor unit with the furniture and furniture of the room where the indoor unit is installed, it is no longer necessary to provide an air inlet on the surface of the indoor unit, or the surface panel is a simple plate with no irregularities. The structure of the air conditioner's indoor unit has been finished to make it look like a furniture as much as possible to soften the image of home appliances. Therefore, the display section of the operation mode is omitted from the appearance of the indoor unit, and a display that shows the main operation status of the indoor unit, for example, whether the indoor unit is turned on, etc. with few display lamps. .
[0006]
On the other hand, in order to finish the exterior of the indoor unit as much as possible, the air suction port provided in the front panel as described above was abolished to make the front panel a flat appearance with less unevenness. The air inlet is collectively provided at the upper part of the indoor unit.
[0007]
However, in order to effectively use the heat exchanger incorporated in the indoor unit, as described in JP 2001-41561 A (reference 2) and JP 2001-41489 A (reference 3), It is effective to provide an air suction port on the front panel on the front surface of the indoor unit and send the room air to the heat exchanger incorporated in the indoor unit. For this reason, the height of the air inlet provided on the front panel on the front of the indoor unit is reduced so that when the indoor unit is looked up from the living space where the indoor unit is installed, the air inlet is invisible from the line of sight. Has been made.
[0008]

An object of the present invention is to provide an air conditioner having an air suction port and an operation display unit on the front surface of an indoor unit, although these air presence ports and an operation display unit are provided on the front surface of the indoor unit. It is to harmonize the indoor unit without feeling uncomfortable with the furniture and furniture of the room where the indoor unit is installed.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The object is to provide an air conditioner that includes a heat exchanger and a blower housed inside an indoor unit, sucks air from an air suction port, and blows air from a blow-out unit on the bottom surface. The front air inlet provided in the direction, and the back of the air passage that has a concave cross section so that it goes from the inlet to the back as it goes from the bottom to the top of the front air inlet, and is arranged over the entire width of the inlet A wall, and an operation mode display unit front cover that is formed at a lower portion of the rear wall of the air passage and is formed in front of the front suction port on the front surface of the indoor unit and has a display light source on the rear surface. This is achieved by configuring the back wall and the front cover of the operation mode display unit with a translucent plate made of a material capable of transmitting light.

[0046]
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the following effects are expected. First, since the lower air intake port with a reduced height is provided in the lower part of the front panel, the heat exchanger under the heat exchanger incorporated in the indoor unit can be used effectively, and air conditioning The performance of the machine can be improved.
[0047]
Second, a decorative plate (translucent plate) formed of a material that transmits light is provided below the lower air intake port, and the lower air intake port is made inconspicuous with the decorative plate (translucent plate) as an accent. Therefore, the air conditioner can harmonize with indoor furniture and furniture without any sense of incongruity.
Third, since the difference in operation mode is indicated by the light from the light emitter on the back side of the decorative board (translucent board) formed of a material that transmits light, the indoor unit is installed at the height of the wall surface in the room. You can also check the difference in driving mode from the living space.
Fourth, by changing the color tone of the illuminant to a plurality of colors with respect to one light-emitting window, the operation mode display unit can be collected in a small range, so that the operation mode display unit can be made inconspicuous.
[0048]
Fifth, by providing a fine uneven surface over the entire surface of the decorative plate (transparent plate) corresponding to the mounting leg, light incident on the decorative plate (transparent plate) that transmits light is reflected on the surface. In addition to preventing the mounting leg from affecting the surface of the decorative board (translucent board) due to a difference in color tone, no additional parts are added to prevent the mounting leg from affecting the assembly work. Can be.
