【0001】
(I/IO )v =exp(−kv L) ……(1)
【0013】
kv =S(T)Pabs φv ……(2)
【0014】
【0015】
A=Σ(KL)=Pabs LS(T) ……(4)
【0020】
RAM、SCRAM
【0056】
・Mass Flux、Heat Flux、

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a high-speed temperature / concentration / chemical species measurement method and measurement system using semiconductor laser spectroscopy.
[0002]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
When semiconductor laser spectroscopy is used, the temperature and concentration of multiple chemical species can be measured simultaneously and with high time resolution in time series, and the laser itself is compact and excellent in robustness. Therefore, it is expected to be applied to various types of practical combustion equipment and leak sensors.
[0003]
[Prior art]
In the past, H was the main combustion product.2There have been many studies on the measurement of O temperature, concentration, flow rate, etc.Four, NO, CO, CO2It is also applied to measurement such as. In particular, CO that has been attracting attention in recent years due to global warming issues2With regard to the above, there has been a report of concentration measurement by an external cavity semiconductor laser in the vicinity of 1.5 μm (generally a range of 1.3 to 1.5 μm) capable of sweeping a wide range of wavelengths.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, since the above-mentioned wavelength band has a weak absorption intensity, there is a problem that a long optical path length of several tens of meters is necessary, and the external cavity semiconductor laser has a limited wavelength sweep speed, so that measurement with high time resolution is possible. There is a problem that it cannot be performed, is weak against vibration, and becomes large.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned matters, and an object of the present invention is to provide fuel and combustion gas (for example, CH) existing in a combustion field by a compact device configuration.Four, CO, CO2, H2O, NO, NO2Etc.), a high-speed temperature / concentration / chemical species measurement method and measurement system using semiconductor laser spectroscopy that can measure time series with a high time resolution of several tens of kHz or more.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention irradiates the gas to be measured with a laser beam of about 2 μm through an isolator and an optical fiber, and performs wavelength sweeping of the laser beam.Use the optimum wavelength in the high and low temperature range.(
[0007]
By using a semiconductor laser having a wavelength longer than that of the conventional semiconductor laser in the vicinity of 2 μm (generally in the range of 1.8 to 2.2 μm), it is possible to perform measurement with an absorption line having strong absorption, and a necessary route length. And S / N in temperature / concentration / chemical species measurement can be improved. The waveform of the external input signal necessary for the wavelength sweep of the laser beam is a waveform including a straight line, a curve, a step, more specifically, any one of sine wave, ramp wave, triangular wave, pulse wave, or any of them Since a combination of any of these is used as appropriate, high-speed sweeping can be performed, and temperature, concentration, and chemical species can be time-series measured at high speed. In particular, when a sine wave is used as the waveform, the semiconductor laser can improve time-responsive frequency characteristics of an amplifier and the like, and a high-speed wavelength sweep at 10 MHz is possible. Time series measurement of concentration and chemical species can be performed.Furthermore, by using optimal wavelengths in the high temperature region and the low temperature region, it is possible to select a combination of laser beams that will increase the temperature measurement sensitivity according to the temperature of the field to be measured among the absorption lines. .
[0008]
Then, two or more laser beams having different wavelengths may be sequentially oscillated (time division oscillation). In such a case, optical means such as a demultiplexer are not required, and the apparatus configuration is simplified. In addition, the robustness can be improved.
[0009]
In addition, two different wavelengths of laser light may be oscillated as in two-way communication. In such a case, optical means such as a demultiplexer becomes unnecessary, and the apparatus configuration can be simplified. The robustness can be improved.
[0010]
further,Baseline interpolation may be performed in the signal processing.
[0011]
Furthermore, by using two or more laser beams having different wavelengths, it is possible to compensate for disturbances such as dirt on the cell window and vibrations.
[0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. First, the principle of simultaneous measurement of temperature, concentration, and chemical species by semiconductor laser spectroscopy will be described. As shown in FIG. 9, when incident light having a wave number v enters the gas in the
(I / IO)v= Exp (-kvL) ...... (1)
Where IOIs the incident light intensity, I is the transmitted light intensity, L is the optical path length, kvIs the absorption coefficient. And this absorption coefficient kvIs expressed by the following equation (2), and an integral absorption coefficient obtained by integrating this with the frequency v is expressed by the following equation (3).
[0013]
kv= S (T) Pabsφv (2)
[0014]
[0015]
Where S (T) [cm-2atm-1] Is absorption line transition intensity, Pabs[Atm] is the partial pressure of the gas that absorbs light, φv[Cm] is a linear function.
[0016]
Each gas has its own absorption wavelength band, and many absorption lines exist in the absorption wavelength band, for example, as shown in FIG. This FIG. 10 shows CO2The distribution of absorption lines in the (2 μm band) is shown. FIG. 4A shows the temperature of 296K, and FIG. 3B shows the temperature of 750K.
[0017]
Then, as shown in FIG. 11, one of the absorption lines, for example, the wavelength λ1In contrast, the absorption is measured by sweeping the oscillation wavelength of the semiconductor laser. The spectrum profile is measured by taking the ratio between this waveform and the reference light waveform. Further, the temperature measurement is performed by changing the spectrum profile into two absorption lines λ.1, Λ2And measure the area ratio A1/ A2(Or peak height ratio P1/ P2).
[0018]
When obtaining the spectral profile, the reference light waveform is not necessarily required, and the baseline interpolation method should be used only from the measured light waveform obtained when the absorption is measured by sweeping the oscillation wavelength of the semiconductor laser. Thus, a spectrum profile can be obtained. That is, when the measurement light waveform is as shown in the upper left of FIG. 11, the part indicated by the symbol X in the figure is obtained by the method of baseline interpolation, and this is the other non-absorbed part (reference numeral Y in the figure). Are connected in a straight line to form a reference light waveform.
[0019]
In the case of a gas that forms one composite spectrum profile from the spectrum profiles of a plurality of absorption lines, the absorbance A of the composite spectrum profile is the total lower part of the spectrum profile as shown in the following equation (4). Expressed in area.
A = Σ (KL) = PabsLS (T) (4)
[0020]
Then, the absorbance is measured for the two composite spectrum profiles, and the temperature T is obtained from the ratio R thereof and the following equation (5).
[0021]
Here, h [J · s] is the Planck constant, c [cm / s] is the speed of light, k [J / K] is the Boltzmann constant, and E ″ [cm-1] Is the level energy.
[0022]
When the total pressure P [atm] and the optical path length L [cm] are known, the mole fraction of the measurement gas can be obtained from the temperature T obtained from the equation (5) and the equation (4). . That is, the concentration of each measurement target component is obtained.
[0023]
【Example】
FIG. 1 is a conceptual diagram for explaining a high-speed temperature / concentration / chemical species measurement method and measurement system (hereinafter simply referred to as a measurement system) using the semiconductor laser spectroscopy of the present invention. FIG. It is a figure which shows the structure of this measurement system roughly. In the following, description will be made mainly with reference to FIG.

The
[0032]
In the measurement system in the above-described embodiment, the laser light used for the measurement has a different wavelength λ in the vicinity of 2 μm, which is a longer wavelength than before.1, Λ2Therefore, it is possible to perform measurement with an absorption line having strong absorption, shortening the required optical path length, and improving S / N in measuring temperature, concentration, and chemical species.
[0033]
Then, from the
[0034]
In the measurement, the entire spectral profile of one absorption line is not measured, but only the peak height of the spectrum is detected and the temperature / concentration is calculated therefrom as shown in FIG. To do. At that time, when the temperature, concentration, pressure, and flow rate fluctuate, the position of the peak of the spectrum shifts. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 12, wavelength sweep is performed only on a narrow range near the peak, and the height of the peak is reliably detected. By doing so, the wavelength sweep range can be narrowed, and this can be used effectively even if the number of samples is small, so that the measurement can be performed at higher speed.
[0035]
In the above embodiment, the two wavelengths λ used for measurement1, Λ2Are separated using a
[0036]
In the above-described embodiment, the
[0037]
By the way, the absorption of absorption lines used for measurement has different temperature-dependent characteristics. Taking the ratio R of the absorbance of the two absorption lines, the combination is roughly divided into two types as shown in FIG. That is, in this figure, what is indicated by symbol A is for measuring all temperatures, and what is indicated by symbol B is for measuring high temperatures. FIG. 6 shows the rate of change of the absorbance ratio R with respect to the temperature of the curves A and B. The larger this value, the more accurate temperature measurement becomes possible. In the curve indicated by the symbol A in FIG. 6, since this value does not become zero, measurement in a wide temperature range is possible. The curve indicated by the symbol B is zero near 700K and is not suitable for measurement near this temperature. However, if it exceeds 900K, the value becomes larger than that of the curve A. It can be said that the curve B is more suitable. Therefore, it is desirable to select the absorption line to be used depending on the temperature of the measurement target.
[0038]
In the measurement system of the present invention, as exemplified in the above embodiment, not only when the chemical species to be measured is single, but also when the chemical species is two or more, their temperature and concentration Can be measured individually. For example, FIG.2And H2An example of a configuration for measuring temperature and concentration with O is shown. In this figure, 41 and 42 are CO 2.2The measurement semiconductor laser outputs laser beams having different wavelengths around 2 μm. 43 and 44 are H2O measuring semiconductor lasers which are different from each other in the vicinity of 2 μm, and the CO2A laser beam having a wavelength different from the wavelength of the laser beam output from the semiconductor laser for measurement is output. The wavelength of the laser beam used here is preferably such that absorption lines near the wavelength are relatively isolated from absorption lines of the same gas and other gases. For example, CO2Absorption lines of 1996, 2050.0 nm, 2053.8 nm, 2066.5 nm, and H2The absorption lines of O are 1899.6 nm, 1847.1 nm, 1817.0 nm, 1821.6 nm, and 1808.6 nm. Therefore, the chemical species to be measured is CO2And H2In the case of O, it is preferable that the laser beam is selected from the above absorption lines so as to have a combination that increases the temperature measurement sensitivity according to the temperature of the field to be measured.

In FIG. 7, 45 to 48 are fiber couplers, 49 to 56 are photodiodes provided in the subsequent stage of the
[0040]
Further, in the measurement system of the present invention, it is possible to compensate for disturbances such as dirt on the cell window and vibrations by using two or more laser beams having different wavelengths. That is, as shown in FIG.1, Λ2When measuring using1, Λ2A third wavelength λ different fromaThe laser light is irradiated to the

・ Monitoring of intake air temperature rise by EGR gas
In EGR, the output of the intake gas decreases due to the increase of the intake gas temperature due to the EGR gas. By measuring the air temperature in the intake portion in real time, the relationship between the intake air temperature and the pressure can be investigated. It is possible to perform a unified evaluation on EGR and engine performance.
[0049]
・ Intake cooler performance evaluation
By measuring the temperature of oxygen in the intake air, the performance of the intake cooler can be evaluated.
[0050]
・ Characteristic evaluation of turbo
Further, as described above, since the temperature of the exhaust gas can be measured, it is possible to evaluate the performance of the turbo that relied on the conventional engine speed, boot pressure, and the like, thereby enabling the optimum design. .
[0051]
・ Measurement of temperature / concentration variation between cylinder temperature / concentration groups
And the fluctuation | variation of the temperature and density | concentration of gas can be measured for every cylinder of an engine, and those dispersion | variation can also be measured. Further, the moving speed of the hot gas can be measured by measuring at each point of the exhaust pipe. Thereby, it can be investigated whether there is a backflow of gas from the exhaust pipe to the cylinder, and each cylinder and the collecting pipe can be optimally designed.
[0052]
・ Measurement of temperature and concentration near the spark plug
Furthermore, the local temperature and concentration in the vicinity of the spark plug can be measured using a spark plug insertion type fiber sensor. Thereby, the relationship between the temperature / concentration of the mixed gas before ignition and flame propagation can also be examined.
[0053]
・ NOXApproach to generation mechanism
By the way, in engine combustion, NOXThis generation is greatly influenced by the temperature of the combustion gas. And since the flow of the combustion gas in an engine is an oscillating flow, it may not be simple. So CO2Measure the temperature variation of the temperature of NO, and at the same time NOXBy measuring the production amount of NO, the oscillating flow of the combustion gas bulk and NOXThe relationship with the generation of.
[0054]
As described above, the measurement system of the present invention is very suitable for engine research and design, but can also be applied to the following fields.
[0055]
(Application to ultrafast combustion field)
・ Monitoring the mixed state of fuel and air
In RAM and SCRAM jet engine combustors, the change in temperature greatly affects the chemical reaction characteristic time, so mixing of fuel and air is a major problem. Therefore, by measuring the change in concentration in time series with high temporal resolution, it is possible to calculate the scale of the fluctuation and grasp the state of mixing.
[0056]
・ Mass Flux, Heat Flux, Thrust measurement
By using two wavelengths, the temperature of the combustion gas can be measured from the two-color method, and Mass Flux, Heat Flux, and thrust can be measured. As a result, conventionally, it was possible to measure only the time average, but it is possible to measure the variation in combustion efficiency over time in a transit state such as when the vehicle stalls or when the rotational speed changes abruptly.
[0057]
(Application to turbulent combustion field)
・ Measurement of fluctuation scale of various parameters
Turbulent combustion is a very complex phenomenon that combines turbulent fluctuations and chemical reactions. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the scale of the fluctuation from the temporal fluctuation of the pressure, concentration, and velocity turbulence components and estimate the relationship between them, and this data can be used for the analysis of the complex reaction flow occurring in the actual machine.
[0058]
(Application to turbulent flow field)
・ Measurement of mixing by gas seeding
In the case of a turbulent flow field, mixing of fuel and air as an oxidant is a problem. Here, in the shear layer formed by two fluids of fuel and air, one fluid is converted into CO.2By seeding NO or NO and measuring the concentration in time series, the mixing scale in the shear layer can be obtained. Since what is seeded is a gas, not a particle, the problem of particle followability can be largely avoided. Such basic data in a high-speed flow or high-pressure field is necessary for simulation of an actual machine.
[0059]
(Application to gas turbine)
・ Control of unstable combustion
If the fuel is lean, combustion becomes unstable and pressure fluctuations occur. Conventionally, this pressure fluctuation was measured with a pressure pickup on the combustion chamber wall surface, but the CH in the combustion chamber, which is considered to have an influence on this pressure fluctuation, was measured.FourMore stable combustion can be achieved by monitoring the temperature / concentration unevenness and time fluctuation.
[0060]
・ Temperature and concentration monitoring under high pressure conditions
CO when the load fluctuates2It is possible to grasp the generation of selenium and monitor temperature and concentration under high pressure conditions. Conventionally, exhaust gas has been mainly measured at the outlet, but temperature and concentration fluctuations in the combustor can be measured.

・ Real-time control of combustion load
CHFour, NO, CO2Real-time monitoring is possible, and real-time control of the combustion load becomes possible. NO, CO, CO2By monitoring the generation status of, the instability factor of combustion is extracted and a feedback system for stability control is constructed.

・ Dioxin suppression and combustion control
CO and CO2It is said that there is a correlation between the production amount of dioxin and the production amount of dioxin. By monitoring and controlling these concentrations in real time, it is possible to reduce dioxins caused by fluctuations in combustion load. CHFour, NO, CO2By controlling the amount of the generated, real-time control of the reburning reduction becomes possible.
