Description
The present invention relates to a communication terminal apparatus such as a facsimile apparatus.
In recent years, Internet protocol telephones (hereinafter referred to as IP telephones) are becoming widespread through networks (hereinafter referred to as IP networks) that perform communication using an Internet protocol such as the Internet.
In this IP phone, since voice signals are packetized and transmitted, there is a problem in that call disconnection, line disconnection, etc. occur due to line delay and the like, resulting in poor call quality and communication errors. In order to solve this problem, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-228867 describes that “when a call is made with a wired telephone, it is encoded with a high-compression voice encoding method, and when a call is made with a mobile phone, a high-quality voice compression is performed. The data is encoded by the method and transmitted from the gateway 108 to the Internet network 107. "
However, the method disclosed in

Hereinafter, embodiments according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a

The operation unit 5 includes character keys necessary for operating the

The
The
Furthermore, V.C. is capable of high-speed data communication such as facsimile communication. 34 mode and V. An 8-mode communication procedure will be described. When data communication is performed with a communication terminal device such as a facsimile device, the recommendation V. of ITU-T, for example, of the half duplex method. The modem uses a modem that conforms to the 17-mode communication procedure, etc., and is a G3 standard facsimile communication procedure. Follow the procedure specified in 30. Also, the recommendation V.I. An ultra-high speed communication procedure (hereinafter referred to as a V.34 mode communication procedure) with a maximum transmission rate of 33.6 kbps conforming to the standard No. 34 has been put into practical use. In the 34-mode communication procedure, at the time of starting communication and during communication execution, the receiving side designates the communication speed according to the line status at that time, specifically, S / N (signal to noise power ratio) and bandwidth. The transmission speed is changed so that transmission is performed at the transmission speed designated on the reception side. V. In the case of performing data communication in the 34-mode communication procedure, the same recommendation V. The actual communication speed is determined by performing the pre-procedure in 8 communication procedures.
FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing an example of the abbreviated number table 7a in the
4 and 5 are flowcharts showing a facsimile transmission process executed by the
In step S1 of FIG. 4, it is determined whether or not the route is via the IP network based on the speed dial table 7a. If YES, the process proceeds to step S2. If NO, the process proceeds to step S3. In step S2, the transmission signal level is raised and set. In step S3, the destination is called, and in step S4, the T0 timer is started. Next, in step S5, a CNG signal is sent out. In step S6, it is determined whether a DIS signal and an NSF signal are detected. If YES, the process proceeds to step S9. If NO, the process proceeds to step S7. In step S7, it is determined whether or not the T0 timer has timed out (for example, 35 seconds), the process proceeds to step S8 if YES, and returns to step S6 if NO. Then, after waiting for 3 minutes in step S8, the process returns to step S3 for redialing. In step S9, the transmission mode is determined based on the FSF (facsimile information field) of the NSF signal, and the process proceeds to step S11 in FIG.
In step S11 of FIG. 5, it is determined whether or not the facsimile transmission is via the IP network based on the abbreviated number table 7a. If YES, the process proceeds to step S12. If NO, the process proceeds to step S13. In step S12, V.P. The transmission mode (V.17 mode or V.29 mode) equal to or less than 17 mode is set, a DCS signal is transmitted in step S13, and a training signal is transmitted in step S14. Next, in step S15, it is determined whether the CFR signal and the FTT signal are detected. If YES, the process proceeds to step S17, and if NO, the process proceeds to step S16. In step S16, it is determined whether or not 1.5 seconds have elapsed. If YES, the process proceeds to step S18. If NO, the process returns to step S15. On the other hand, if YES in step S15, it is determined in step S17 whether or not a CFR signal has been detected. If YES, the process proceeds to step S23, and if NO, the process returns to step S11. In step S23, a known image data transmission process is executed. In
Next, in step S18, the process waits for 1.5 seconds. In step S19, the destination is set via the IP network in the abbreviated number table 7a. In step S20, the transmission signal level is increased by a predetermined level and set. In S21, it is determined whether or not the training signal has been transmitted three times. If YES, the process proceeds to step S22. If NO, the process returns to step S11. In step S22, after the DCN signal is transmitted, the process proceeds to step S24 where the line is opened and the facsimile transmission process is terminated.
FIG. 3A is a timing chart showing a conventional facsimile signal procedure, and FIG. 3B is a timing chart showing a facsimile signal procedure according to the embodiment. In the conventional example of FIG. 3 (a), after sending the DIS signal, the CFR signal and the FTT signal cannot be received via the IP network. ing. On the other hand, in the embodiment of FIG. 3 (b), after sending the DCS signal and the training signal, a waiting time of 1.5 seconds is provided and the sending level is raised, so that it responds to sending the next DCS signal and training signal. Since the CFR signal can be received, normal facsimile transmission processing can be executed.
As described above, according to the present embodiment, when the
For example, when a predetermined facsimile signal such as a training signal is transmitted and a response signal received in response to the facsimile signal exceeds a predetermined threshold time (for example, 1.5 seconds) ( If YES in step S16), it is determined that the communication is a facsimile communication via the IP network, and the destination of the abbreviated number table 7a is set as to whether the communication is a facsimile communication via the IP network (step S19). Therefore, it can be automatically determined that the facsimile communication is via the IP network, and the facsimile communication can be more reliably performed via the IP network by a simpler method compared to the prior art.
Further, when it is determined that the facsimile communication is via the IP network based on the above setting, the
