Description
The present invention relates to a vane pump, and more particularly, to a vane pump in which a cap that is in sliding contact with the inner peripheral surface of a pump chamber is provided at the tip of a vane that is rotated by a rotor.
In the case of such a vane pump, a negative pressure or the like is generated by increasing or decreasing the volume of the space partitioned by the vane due to the rotation of the vane, but the volume decreases in the space partitioned by the vane. In the space, the internal gas and lubricating oil are compressed as the volume decreases.
Most of the compressed gas and lubricating oil are discharged from the discharge port formed in the pump chamber, but some of the gas and lubricating oil are formed between the vane that has passed through the discharge port, the housing, and the rotor. It remains in a small space.
Since the volume of the space is further reduced by the rotation of the vane, the gas or lubricating oil confined in the space is further compressed without any escape space. A great force acts on the cap and the vane may be damaged.
To solve this problem, a relief shape (bulging diameter portion, countersink) is formed in the pump chamber, and when the vane or cap passes through the relief shape, a space partitioned by the vane by the relief shape is formed. It is designed to communicate. (Patent Documents 1 and 2)
Thereby, since the compressed gas and lubricating oil move from the space where the pressure is increased through the relief shape to the adjacent space where the pressure is lower, the vane and the cap are prevented from being damaged.
Moreover, in the vane pump of
Thus, according to
When the local wear of the vanes and caps progresses, the airtightness of the pump chamber cannot be maintained by the vanes and caps at positions other than the above-described relief shape, causing the vane pump performance to deteriorate and the vanes and caps to be damaged.
In view of such a problem, the present invention provides a vane pump capable of preventing the vane and the cap from being damaged while maintaining the performance of the vane pump.
That is, the vane pump of the present invention reciprocates along a housing provided with a substantially circular pump chamber, a rotor rotating at a position eccentric with respect to the center of the pump chamber, and a groove formed in the diameter direction of the rotor. A vane that rotates while partitioning the pump chamber into a plurality of spaces, and a cap that is slidably connected to both ends of the vane in the longitudinal direction of the vane and that slides on the inner peripheral surface of the pump chamber,
In the vane pump in which the vane is moved to one of the caps by centrifugal force and the cap is retracted to the vane, and the other cap is projected from the vane.
A communication path is formed between the caps and the vanes so that the spaces before and after the rotation direction defined by the caps communicate with each other. The communication paths are closed when the cap is retracted to the vane side. The cap is opened when the cap protrudes from the vane.
In the present invention, the cap protrudes from the vane when the pump chamber and the rotor are close to each other. At this time, the space defined by the vane and the rotor is reduced in volume, thereby increasing the pressure. Become.
Here, in the vane pump according to the present invention, the cap protrudes from the vane and the communication passage is opened at the same time. Therefore, gas and lubrication are directed from the high pressure space to the lower pressure space through the communication passage. Since oil moves and the force which acts on a vane or a cap reduces, it can prevent that these are damaged.
That is, since it is not necessary to form a relief shape in the pump chamber as in
Further, since the communication path is closed while the cap is retracted to the vane side, the adjacent space is partitioned by these cap and vane, and the same performance as the conventional vane pump can be exhibited.

The operation of the vane pump 1 having the above configuration will be described below. When the

Also, as shown in FIG. 3, the shape of the connecting portion between the
That is, since the conventional vane and the cap are formed so that the convex portion protruding from the cap toward the vane penetrates the vane in a direction perpendicular to the rotation direction of the vane, as described in
FIG. 5 is a graph showing experimental results of a comparison between the vane pump according to the present invention (invention product) and a conventional vane pump (conventional product). Here, the conventional product is referred to in this embodiment. It refers to the described
The horizontal axis of this graph indicates the elapsed time, and the vertical axis indicates the internal pressure in the vicinity of the space B ′ in FIG.
As is apparent from this result, it can be understood that the internal pressure in the vicinity of the space B ′ is less in the invention product, and the force acting on the vane is small in the vicinity of the space B ′. It can be understood that the acting force has been canceled accordingly.
