Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improvement in a spark ignition internal combustion engine that injects and supplies fuel into an intake pipe.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems to be solved]
In the internal combustion engine of the fuel injection system in the intake pipe, particularly at low temperatures where fuel vaporization is delayed, part of the injected fuel adheres to the intake pipe inner wall and intake valve and stays there. There was a factor that deteriorated fuel consumption and exhaust performance.
[0003]
On the other hand, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-87768, the present applicant injects and supplies fuel before opening an intake valve to promote fuel vaporization, or opens and closes the intake valve several times to promote intake flow. It has been proposed to improve the cold startability by prompting. However, this is not always sufficient from the viewpoint of preventing fuel from adhering to the wall surface of the intake pipe.
[0004]
As a means for vaporizing the fuel adhering to the intake pipe wall or the like, it is conceivable to set the opening / closing timing of the intake valve so that a part of the exhaust flows into the intake pipe and vaporize the adhering fuel with the exhaust heat. However, at extremely low temperatures or during cold start, it is difficult to sufficiently vaporize the liquid fuel only with exhaust heat, and a reliable effect cannot be expected.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a spark ignition type internal combustion engine having a fuel injection valve for injecting and supplying fuel into an intake passage, the first fuel injection valve having a relatively large spray particle size as the fuel injection valve, and spray particles and a relatively small second fuel injection valve diameter, detect based operating conditions at the time of engine starting fuel can vaporization of the first fuel injection valve injects the heating action of the intake valves to the intake valve temperature comprising means, the initial start-up cranking supplying fuel from the second fuel injection valve, after pre detect Kiun rolling state based on the intake valve temperature after start-up cranking is equal to or larger than the reference value the The fuel supply from the first fuel injection valve was started.
[0006]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a spark ignition type internal combustion engine having a fuel injection valve for injecting and supplying fuel into an intake passage, wherein the fuel injection valve is a first fuel injection valve having a relatively large spray particle size, and a spray particle and a relatively small second fuel injection valve diameter, detect based operating conditions at the time of engine starting fuel can vaporization of the first fuel injection valve injects the heating action of the intake valves on the engine speed comprising means, starting click initially ranking supplying fuel from the second fuel injection valve, before based on the engine speed after the start cranking predetermined time equal to or greater than the reference value has elapsed Kiun When the rolling state is detected, fuel supply from the first fuel injection valve is started.
[0019]
[Action / Effect]
According to the present invention, since two types of fuel injection valves having different spray particle diameters are provided, an appropriate fuel spray can be formed according to the operating state. For example, since the second fuel injection valve has a small fuel particle size and does not easily adhere to the intake passage wall or the like, the fuel consumption and exhaust performance can be improved by using the second fuel injection valve when starting at low temperatures or during low load operation. On the other hand, the first fuel injection valve can cope with operating conditions that require injection with high response or high injection rate.
[0020]
By providing the second fuel injection valve having a small spray particle size on the downstream side of the first fuel injection valve, the amount of fuel adhering to the intake passage wall can be further reduced. In addition, the second fuel injection valve located in the portion close to the combustion chamber in this way can set the spray angle to be as large as the fuel hardly adheres to the intake pipe wall. There is a correlation between the spray angle of the fuel injection valve and the fuel particle size. The smaller the fuel particle size, the wider the spray angle. That is, by increasing the spray angle of the second fuel injection valve, it is possible to further reduce the fuel particle size and further suppress the fuel adhesion to the intake pipe wall.
[0021]
On the other hand, the first fuel injection valve having the characteristic that the fuel particle size is relatively large is preferably designed so that the fuel spray reaches the inner peripheral region of the intake valve umbrella. The intake valve umbrella is hotter than the intake passage wall, and the temperature rises more quickly even when starting from cold. Therefore, supplying spray with a large fuel particle size to the inner peripheral region of the intake valve umbrella is effective for promoting vaporization of the injected fuel and mixing with the intake air. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of preventing fuel from adhering to the intake passage wall, both the first and second fuel injection valves may be set to inject fuel toward the substantially central portion of the intake valve umbrella. desirable. In a multi-cylinder engine, the first and second fuel injection valves are provided for each cylinder.
[0022]
At the beginning of engine start cranking, fuel is supplied from the second fuel injection valve, and then fuel supply from the first fuel injection valve is started, so that the exhaust performance and startability at the start can be improved. . At the time of start cranking, the crankshaft rotational speed is low, so the negative pressure downstream of the throttle valve is small, and the pressure difference with the cylinder when the intake valve is opened is small. For this reason, the fuel vaporization by the blowback of in-cylinder gas cannot be expected so much. Under such conditions, by supplying fuel from the second fuel injection valve having a small fuel particle size, fuel adhering to the intake passage wall and deterioration of exhaust composition during the starting process can be suppressed, and startability can be improved. it can.
[0023]
The operation of the start cranking can be known from the state of the ignition key switch, for example, but the timing for starting the fuel injection by the first fuel injection valve after the start can be set based on the intake pipe pressure, for example. When the complete explosion is started, the intake pipe negative pressure downstream of the throttle valve increases rapidly as the engine speed increases rapidly. Therefore, it is possible to determine the complete explosion from the intake pipe pressure change and switch to the first fuel injection valve. Of course, the engine rotational speed may be detected and switched to the first fuel injection valve. The reference value of the rotational speed in this case is determined based on the crankshaft rotational speed at the time of complete explosion determined by the engine.
[0024]
In order to ensure the effect of promoting vaporization by heating the fuel spray from the first fuel injection valve at the intake valve umbrella, the first time when the intake valve temperature becomes equal to or higher than the reference value after start cranking It is desirable to start fuel injection from the fuel injection valve. The reference value may be about 80 ° C., for example. Further, instead of directly detecting the intake valve temperature in this way, fuel injection from the first fuel injection valve is started when a predetermined time has elapsed after the engine rotational speed becomes equal to or higher than the reference value after start cranking. You may do it. Since the elapsed time until the intake valve temperature sufficiently rises after the complete explosion is determined by the engine characteristics, this is experimentally determined in advance. As a result, the same effect as described above can be obtained with a simple configuration without using a temperature sensor.
[0025]
At the time of switching from the second fuel injection valve to the first fuel injection valve, in order to stabilize the respective fuel pressure and injection characteristics, the fuel injection from the second fuel injection valve is started simultaneously with the start of injection from the first fuel injection valve. It is desirable to stop.

When the engine is completely detonated, a blow-back phenomenon occurs in which the combustion gas flows backward to the intake system when the intake valve is opened during low-speed operation such as during idling. Since this blow-back is a combustion gas, it is effective for promoting the vaporization and mixing of the injected fuel. Therefore, in this control, the engine is switched to the fuel injection by the first fuel injection valve 6-1 having a large fuel particle size after the engine is started. Since the effect of the blow-back gas cannot be obtained until the engine is completely exploded, the fuel particle size is small and atomization is good from the start of cranking to the complete explosion, and fuel adhesion to the wall of the port is unlikely to occur. Fuel is injected by the second fuel injection valve 6-2.
[0039]
FIG. 12 or FIG. 13 shows another determination method for the release condition. These are switched from the second fuel injection valve 6-2 to the first fuel injection valve 6-1 on the condition that the intake valve temperature rises. In FIG. 12, first, the intake valve temperature sensor 14 (see FIG. 1) reads the intake valve temperature Tv (S301). If this is higher than the reference value To, the
[0040]
FIG. 13 simplifies the configuration by estimating the rise in the intake valve temperature from the operation elapsed time after the complete start-up without using a temperature sensor. In this processing routine, first, the engine speed N is read and compared with a reference value N1 for complete explosion determination (S301 to S302). If N> N1, the counter C for measuring the elapsed time is counted up, and then compared with the determination reference value Co (S303 to S304). At this time, if C> Co, the

FIG. 14 is a timing chart at the time of control shown in FIG. 12 or FIG. The fuel is injected by the second fuel injection valve 6-2 that is well atomized until the intake valve temperature rises to some extent after the engine start cranking, and after the intake valve temperature rises, the first fuel injection valve Switch to fuel injection according to 6-1. The fuel injected from the fuel injection valve 6-1 has a relatively large fuel particle size, but when the intake valve temperature rises, the fuel particles are heated when they collide with the intake
