BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a road traffic system based on bidirectional communication between vehicles, and more specifically, interactively between vehicles that transmit so-called front seat information such as vehicle position information, vehicle speed information, and brake information on whether or not a brake is depressed. The present invention relates to a road traffic system using a communication system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, with the increase in the number of vehicles, traffic problems such as traffic accidents and traffic jams are becoming serious, and in order to solve the car traffic problems of traffic accidents and traffic jams, an information communication system has been introduced to improve safety, Research and development are underway to solve the congestion problem.
[0003]
In this information communication system, it is considered to adopt a method called spread spectrum communication excellent in interference resistance and interference resistance. Here, spread spectrum communication is a method of performing communication by modulating front information using a PN code.
[0004]
Conventionally, in a road traffic system based on two-way communication between vehicles, it has been considered to construct the system only for a mounted vehicle equipped with a transmission / reception means for two-way between vehicles.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, there are non-equipped vehicles that are not equipped with transmission / reception means for two-way communication between vehicles. When considering an actual road traffic system, the vehicles are mixed and non-equipped vehicles traveling on the road. Under such traffic conditions, it is difficult to know the position of other vehicles and the running state of the vehicle centering on the host vehicle. When constructing a road traffic system, the creation of a vehicle travel map in a mixed state becomes an issue.
[0006]
In addition, when constructing a network based on two-way communication between vehicles, front seat information such as vehicle position information, speed information, brake information, etc. existing in the vicinity of the own vehicle is important, but is far away from the own vehicle. Therefore, the information on the front seats of vehicles located far away is less important, and in consideration of this, a network based on two-way communication between vehicles should be constructed.
[0007]
In particular, when constructing a road traffic system by bi-directional communication between vehicles by applying PN code modulation to the front seat information, tens of millions of units are identified if each vehicle is identified by making each vehicle correspond to a different PN code. The front seat information is transmitted by preparing a PN code having a large code length (a PN code having a long code length) for identifying each of the hundreds of millions of vehicles mounted. When demodulating and receiving front seat information, the number of correlation detection circuits corresponding to the code length of the PN code must be prepared for each vehicle, and the number of correlation detection circuits is the code length of the PN code. Increases with increasing length, and there is a problem that feasibility becomes poor.
[0008]
Furthermore, when creating a vehicle travel map of each vehicle existing in the vicinity of the host vehicle with the host vehicle as the center, it is required to accurately acquire the position information of each vehicle. In the method of using the method of acquiring the position information of the vehicle, it is difficult to identify each vehicle existing within a few meters centering on the own vehicle and accurately acquire the position.
[0009]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and grasps the position and running state of other vehicles centering on the own vehicle even in a traffic situation in which mounted vehicles and non-mounted vehicles are mixed. It is an object of the present invention to provide a high-feasible road traffic system using two-way communication between vehicles.

With respect to the mounted vehicle, vehicle position information can be acquired by communication between the mounted vehicles. Therefore, the distance and direction to the vehicle measured by the distance measuring means 18 are mainly used to determine the position of the non-mounted vehicle.
