Claims (3)
- 多重化した複数の光信号を伝送するための光ファイバに連結された光分岐/結合器において、
前記光ファイバと連結され、多重化した光信号の経路となる入力及び出力ポート、そして、それぞれ逆多重化した光信号の経路となる多数の逆多重化ポートを有する波長分割多重化部と、
前記波長分割多重化部の逆多重化ポートと一対一に連結されるポートを有する多数の分岐/結合部と、を含み、前記各分岐/結合部は、
第1乃至第7ポートを備え、第p(6以下の自然数)ポートに入力された光信号を第
(p+1)ポートへ出力し、前記第1及び第7ポートが直接連結され、第2ポートが前記波長分割多重化部の第1逆多重化ポートに連結された循環器と、
前記循環器の第2ポートと第6ポートとを連結し、オン/オフの状態に応じて入力された光信号を通過又は反射させる波長に依存しない反射器とを備え、
前記循環器は、第2ポートに入力された光信号を第3ポートに出力し、前記反射器により第3ポートに2次的に入力された光信号を第4ポートに出力することにより該光信号を除去し、第5ポートに入力された光信号を前記反射器と連結された第6ポートに出力し、前記反射器によって前記第6ポートに2次入力された光信号が第7、第1、及び第2ポートを順次に経ることによって、該光信号を追加し、前記分岐/結合部を通過する光信号は、前記循環器の第2及び第3ポートと、前記反射器と、前記循環器の第6、第7、第1、及び第2ポートとを順次に経ることを特徴とする光分岐/結合器。 - 波長分割多重化部は、
多重化した複数の光信号を伝送するための光ファイバと連結された第1及び第3ポートと、第2ポートとを有し、第n(2以下の自然数)ポートへ入力された光信号を第(n+1)ポートへ出力する終端循環器と、
前記終端循環器の第2ポートと連結され、多重化した光信号の経路となる多重化ポート及びそれぞれ逆多重化した光信号の経路となる多数の逆多重化ポートを有する波長分割多重化器と、を備える請求項1に記載の光分岐/結合器。 - 前記波長分割多重化器は、アレイ導波路回折格子を備える請求項2に記載の光分岐/結合器。
