【0036】
Vdd=K1×Rs2×fd×Vp×(Cs−Ck)・・・(式1)
【0038】
Vs2=Vt2−K1×Rs2×fd×Vp×(Cs−Ck)・・・(式2)
【0039】

【0083】
Vd1=K5×Rs1×fc×Vc×(Ct−Cr)・・・(式5)
【0085】
Vs1=Vt1−K5×Rs1×fc×Vc×(Ct−Cr)・・・(式6)
【0086】

[0004]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, for example, in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, an electrophotographic photosensitive member as an image carrier and a charging unit, a developing unit, and a cleaning unit, which are process units that act on the electrophotographic photosensitive member, are integrated into a process cartridge. A configuration in which the process cartridge is detachably mounted on the main body of the image forming apparatus is widely used.
[0005]
In such a process cartridge type electrophotographic image forming apparatus, since the user must replace the cartridge, a means for notifying the user when the developer is consumed, that is, a developer amount detecting device is required. .
[0006]
Conventionally, as a developer amount detecting device, two electrodes are provided as a developer amount detecting means in a developer container integrally provided in a process cartridge, and a change in electrostatic capacity between the two electrodes is detected. There is a thing of the structure to do. That is, since the dielectric constant of the material constituting the toner that is normally used as a developer is different from the dielectric constant of air, the capacitance between the electrodes changes according to the amount of toner distributed between the electrodes. As a result, the capacitance can be detected by applying a voltage (for example, an alternating voltage) between the electrodes, and can be sequentially converted into the amount of developer in the developer container by comparing with a predetermined level. . Then, the result can be displayed on, for example, a display unit of the image forming apparatus, and the user can be notified of the developer amount sequentially.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional developer amount detection device, there is a possibility that the developer amount cannot be accurately detected in the following cases.
(1) When the position of the electrode deviates from the predetermined position, the capacitance between the electrodes changes.

BookIn the developer remaining amount detection device of the image forming apparatus according to the embodiment, the conversion table when the antenna electrode position and the development AC bias voltage value are predetermined center values, and the antenna electrode position and the development AC bias voltage value are predetermined. Conversion from electrostatic capacity to toner remaining value is performed using a conversion table in the case of deviation from the center value, and switching between detection results of detection members that detect different detection areas is determined based on the result. As a result, even when the antenna electrode position and the development AC bias voltage value deviate from the predetermined center value, the detection results of the plurality of detection members can be accurately switched.
According to the electrophotographic image forming apparatus of the embodiment described above, the position of the electrode and / or the voltage applied to the electrode provided in the electrostatic capacity measurement type developer amount detecting means is deviated from a predetermined value. However, the developer amount can be detected with high accuracy. In addition, in the configuration provided with a plurality of developer amount detection means for detecting areas of different developer amounts, and detecting the developer amount in a wide area by selecting any detection result, the developer amount detection means includes: Even when the position of the provided electrode and / or the voltage applied to the electrode deviates from a predetermined value, the detection results of the plurality of developer amount detecting means can be switched with high accuracy.
