【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a medical imaging apparatus, and specifically relates to a technical field of image reconstruction for reconstructing a tomographic image such as a bent portion of a subject.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Known medical imaging devices include magnetic resonance imaging devices, ultrasonic imaging devices, and X-ray imaging devices. These medical imaging apparatuses are enhanced in hardware and software functions, the time required for imaging a plurality of cross-sections is remarkably shortened, and the image quality itself is very good. From such a background, imaging for acquiring three-dimensional tomographic image data is widely performed by acquiring a two-dimensional tomographic image data by imaging a cross section of a subject at regular intervals.
[0003]
As one of image reconstruction using three-dimensional tomographic image data, multi-planar reconstruction is known. Multi-slice reconstruction is a process of reconstructing the entire subject by filling the gaps between two-dimensional images by interpolation processing, and reconstructing an image of the reconstructed arbitrary slice of the subject. The case where the arbitrary cross section to be reconfigured is a curved cross section is particularly referred to as a curved cross section reconstruction. This curved cross-section reconstruction is effective when creating a tomographic image of a portion that is difficult to capture with a flat cross-section, such as the spine, lumbar vertebra, bent elbow or knee joint.
[0004]
As a method for setting a curved section on an image, a method using a GUI screen is known. As a setting method using the GUI screen, for example, three reference planes (a coronal section, a sagittal section, and a cross section) that are orthogonal to each other are displayed in one screen and created by one of the three reference plane images. Set the curved section you want. For example, a mouse is operated to draw and set a curve on an image on the GUI. Then, a tomographic image is reconstructed with respect to a curved cross section including the set curve and orthogonal to the set reference plane, and displayed on the GUI.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, when an elbow joint or a knee joint is diagnosed by an image, imaging is often performed in several bent postures. In this way, when the image of the bent part is bent and the cross section of the bent joint is observed, the curved cross section reconstruction process is effective.
[0006]
However, the conventional setting of the curved section has a problem that the operability is lacking because the manual operation of the user occupies the majority. In particular, when it is desired to compare and observe curved sections of bending and stretching sites in different postures, it is necessary to reconstruct a tomographic image at the same position even if the posture changes. However, in the method of setting the curved section by the user's manual work, it is difficult to define the same curved section for the imaging part in each posture.
[0007]
It is an object of the present invention to simplify the work of setting a curved section related to the curved section reconstruction process.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention solves the above problems by the following means.
[0009]
The curved slice image reconstruction method, curved slice image reconstruction program, or medical image diagnostic apparatus of the present invention obtains tomographic image data corresponding to an input set slice from three-dimensional tomographic image data obtained by imaging a specimen. Taking out, binarizing the tomographic image data according to a preset threshold, discriminating a region of interest based on the binarized tomographic image data,The number of pixels that are continuous vertically and horizontally to the set point set inBased on the extension direction of the region of interest based onThen, the determination of a new extending direction is repeated with a pixel adjacent to the extending direction as a new set point, and a plurality of set points obtained are obtained. An approximate curve along the curve is obtained, and the tomographic image data of the curved section including the approximate curve is extracted from the three-dimensional tomographic image data, and the curved section image is reconstructed and displayed on the display means..
[0010]
That is, from the input means, for example, using a GUI image or any method,Setting cross sectionWhen (reference plane) is set,Setting cross sectionRead out image data and based on the threshold value of brightness set in advance by input means etc.Setting cross sectionThe tomographic image is binarized. As a result, a region having a luminance higher than the region in which the user is interested is extracted. The threshold value in this case is set so that, for example, attention is paid to the bone of the joint and an image in which the bone part is extracted is created. Further, by setting the threshold value with a range, the user's region of interest can be set more appropriately. In the binarized image data obtained by this, for example, the pixels of the bone region have high luminance, so the center line in the extending direction of the region of interest is searched by analyzing the shape of the region of interest. Then, by setting a plurality of points on or near the center line and obtaining an approximate curve connecting these set points, a curve along the bending of the joint can be automatically set.ThereforeIf you decide the threshold for binary image formation,Setting cross sectionSince the curved section is automatically set just by setting, the usability is greatly improved.
[0011]
In this case, the image reconstruction unit displays the binarized tomographic image on the display unit, and interests the binarized region including the interest point set via the input unit on the displayed binarized tomographic image. You may make it discriminate | determine as an area | region.
[0012]
Furthermore, other of the present inventionA curved cross-section image reconstruction method, a curved cross-section image reconstruction program, or a medical image diagnostic apparatus sets a plurality of reference point markers on a bending / extending part of a subject, and bending / extending the bending / extending part to obtain a plurality of three-dimensional tomographic image data. The tomographic image data of the set cross section relating to one bending and stretching form to be imaged and input is extracted from the three-dimensional tomographic image data, the tomographic image is reconstructed and displayed on the display means, and input to the displayed tomographic image The distance between the set curve to be set and the reference point is obtained, the cross-sectional tomographic image data relating to other bending and stretching forms to be input is taken out from the three-dimensional tomographic image data, and the obtained distance from the reference point marker The coordinates are obtained by setting sample points in the image, the approximate curve of the line connecting the plurality of sample points corresponding to the plurality of reference points is obtained, and the tomographic image data of the curved cross section including the approximate curve is obtained as the three-dimensional tomographic image. Take from data And reconstruct a tomographic image of the curved slices and configured to be displayed on the display unit outbe able to.
[0013]
According to this, by setting a curve of a desired curved cross section on a tomographic image of a flat cross section according to one bending and stretching form, the same curved section according to another bending and stretching form is automatically set. As a result, since the tomographic image at the same position is automatically reconstructed even if the posture changes, it is easy to compare and observe the tomographic image of the curved cross section of the flexion / extension region in different postures.
[0014]
Here, the curved cross section including the above-mentioned approximate curve is input and set.Set cross sectionThe configuration is simple if the cross sections are orthogonal. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and a curve is set on each of a plurality of parallel reference planes, and a curved section including those curves is obtainedCurved sectionThe tomographic image can be reconstructed.
[0015]
In this way,ClearlyAccording to the present invention, when displaying tomographic images with different bending / extension forms of the subject on the display means, it has a function of reconstructing a tomographic image of the same cross section relating to the subject regardless of the bending / extending form. It becomes easy to compare and observe the curved cross section of the bent and stretched part.
[0016]

FIG. 13 shows a flowchart of a curved cross-section reconstruction process according to another embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment is different from the embodiment of FIG. 1 in that a reference point marker is set on a subject, and a curved section can be automatically set based on three-dimensional image data obtained by photographing an image including the reference point marker. It is a thing. In particular, the tomographic image at the same position can be automatically reconstructed even if the bending state (posture) of the flexion / extension site changes, making it easy to compare and compare the tomograms of the curved cross section of the flexion / extension site in different postures To do.
[0034]
