本発明は、前面側に開口を有する箱形の筐体と、筐体の前面側に開閉自在に取り付けられた前面扉とを備えて構成される遊技機の電源装置に関し、さらに詳しくは、電源装置の不正防止構造に関する。

前面側に開口を有する箱形の筐体と、この筐体の前面側に開閉自在に取り付けられた前面扉とを備えて構成される遊技機の代表例として、スロットマシンがあり、筐体の内部に遊技構成装置が配設されて、前面扉が開口を覆う状態で遊技に供されるようになっている。

このようなスロットマシンにおいて、筐体の内部には、スロットマシンの各部に電力を供給するための電源装置が設けられており、この電源装置から供給される電力によりスロットマシンが作動するようになっている。また、電源装置の前面側には、スロットマシンを作動させるための電源スイッチや、遊技メダルの回収を行うためのメダル回収スイッチ、そしてスロットマシンの出玉率を設定するための設定スイッチ等の各操作スイッチを有する操作板が設けられており、前面扉を開いた状態で各操作スイッチを操作できるようになっている。

電源装置は、スロットマシンの各部に電力を供給する電源基板と、電源基板を内部に収容するカバー体とを備えて構成され、筐体の側壁部内側に接して取り付けられている。カバー体は、筐体の側壁部内側と接する側に開口部を有する箱状に形成され、カバー体が筐体の側壁部内側に接して取り付けられることで、筐体の側壁部およびカバー体により電源基板が外部に対して覆われるようになっている。これにより、カバー体の開口部を通じて電源基板をカバー体の内部へ容易に取り付けることができるため、電源装置を容易に組み立てて筐体の内部へ取り付けることができる。また、カバー体には複数の放熱穴が形成されており、電源基板等から発生する熱を外部へ逃がすことができるようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、セルや針金等の道具を前面扉と筐体との隙間に挿入し、電源装置の放熱穴に通過させて電源基板へ不正にアクセスしたり、あるいは、ドリル等を用いて電源装置に隣接する筐体の壁部に電源基板へ通ずる穴を開け、この穴に道具を挿入して電源基板へ不正にアクセスするという事件が発生していた。

また、電源基板に塵埃が溜まると短絡等による故障の原因となり、電源基板から塵埃を除去する必要があるが、従来の電源装置では装置全体を遊技機(筐体)から外し、電源装置を分解しないと塵埃の除去は不可能であった。さらに、電源装置を遊技機(筐体)から外すには、ホッパーやメダル補給器センサ等を遊技機から外す必要があったため、作業が大変煩雑となっていた。

このような目的達成のため、本発明に係る遊技機の電源装置は、前面側に開口を有する箱形の筐体と、筐体の前面側に開口を覆う閉止位置から開閉自在に取り付けられた前面扉と、筐体の内部に設けられて電力を供給する電源装置とを備え、前面扉が開口を覆う状態で電源装置から供給される電力により作動する遊技機において、筐体の壁部内側に接して取り付けられ、内部に電源基板を収容するように構成された略密閉箱形の電源装置であって、電源装置は、外部から電源装置内に空気を吸入させる吸気口と、電源装置内の空気を外部へ排出させる排気口と、吸気口を通過して電源装置内に吸入された空気を排気口へ導くダクト構造と、電源装置の壁部に開閉自在に設けられた開閉部材(例えば、実施形態における操作部140)とを備えて構成される。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の好ましい実施形態について図面を参照しながら説明する。本発明に係る電源装置を備えた遊技機の代表例としてスロットマシンSMを図1および図2に示しており、まず、これらの図面を参照しながらスロットマシンSMの全体構成について要約説明する。ここで、図1はスロットマシンSMの斜視図、図2は上記スロットマシンSMにおける前面扉を取り外した状態を示す正面図である。

一方、前面扉3には、メダル投入口31、スタートレバー32や停止ボタン33a,33b,33c等や、左右のスピーカ34,34等が取り付けられ、図示しないワイヤーハーネス(電気配線)で筐体2側の主制御基板50や電源装置100などと接続されている。また前面扉3の中間部には、三つのリール21a,21b,21cと位置整合して透視窓37が配設されており、三つのリールの所定範囲を機体正面に臨ませている。さらに前面扉3の中央下部には、前面扉3に設けられたメダル通路(図示せず)と位置整合してメダル払出口38が設けられるとともに、その下部に受け皿39が配設されており、図示しないメダルセレクタから返却される返却メダルや、メダル払出装置22から払い出された遊技メダルがメダル払出口38を通過して受け皿39で受け止められ貯留されるように構成されている。
