Description
The present invention relates to a belt reduction device for an electric power steering device and an electric power steering device.
2. Description of the Related Art An electric power steering device for a vehicle is known that decelerates the rotational output of a motor via a speed reduction mechanism and assists a steering operation as a steering assist force.
For example, in the electric
The
The
On the other hand, a spline protrusion 522 is formed on the outer side of the
In the above configuration, the driving rotational force of the
When using a gear reduction mechanism as described above as a reduction mechanism, when the backlash of the meshing portion of the gear is large, a rattling sound is generated on the tooth surface of the gear when the steering operation is reversed, etc. Inconvenience occurs. On the other hand, if the backlash is too small, the meshing rotation operation of the gears is not performed smoothly, and inconveniences such as deterioration of the steering feeling occur. For this reason, it is necessary to set the size of the backlash within an appropriate range.
For example, in a known worm gear reduction mechanism composed of a worm and a worm wheel, as described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-297505 (Patent Document 1), the housing of the worm gear reduction mechanism is replaced with a worm side housing. And the worm wheel side housing, and adjusting the distance between the two housings to set the backlash size within an appropriate range has been proposed.
In addition to the above, in order to set the size of the backlash to an appropriate range, increase the processing dimensional accuracy at the time of gear manufacture, or select the gear to be mated according to the finished dimensional state of the manufactured gear However, these methods are undesirable because they result in increased manufacturing costs.
In the electric
When the
In addition, when using a worm gear reduction mechanism as a gear reduction mechanism, particularly in a configuration using a drum worm as the worm, a three-needle measurement method implemented by a normal worm measurement is used to measure the finished dimension of the drum worm. Since it cannot be used, it is very difficult to measure the dimension of the drum-type worm. Therefore, matching is performed in the assembling work of the speed reduction mechanism, but this disadvantageously increases the number of assembling steps.
Furthermore, as a speed reduction mechanism, a belt speed reduction device that includes an input pulley, an output pulley, and a drive belt wound around these pulleys in place of the input gear and the output gear, has high conduction efficiency and durability. In order to maintain this, it is required to set the tension of the drive belt within an appropriate range. However, because the drive belt has more product variations than the gear, the distance between the shaft centers of the input and output pulleys can be easily adjusted. A possible configuration is required.
In addition, since the electric power steering device has a structure in which the motor is assembled later on the housing of the device, the motor shaft and the gear or pulley are separated, and it is necessary to provide a bearing on each of the motor shaft and the gear shaft or pulley shaft. There is a disadvantage that the number of parts is increased and the manufacturing cost is increased.
As a device using a belt speed reducer, for example, in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 62-004673 (Patent Document 2), a friction type V belt is used, and Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 06-049489 (Patent Document). In 3), a belt using a flat-tooth belt (timing belt) is known.
In the belt speed reducer using the V-belt described in
By reducing the size of the belt teeth, this problem can be solved to some extent, but on the other hand, when a large force is applied due to the weakening of the teeth, it starts with shearing of the teeth, biting of the sheared teeth, locking of the speed reduction mechanism This can lead to serious problems that can lead to steering failure. For this reason, if the size of the tooth of the belt is reduced for the purpose of reducing the operating noise, it is necessary to widen the width of the belt, and the speed reduction device is inevitably enlarged, so that the layout in the vehicle body becomes difficult.
Further, in the electric power steering apparatus using the belt speed reducer, the tension applied to the belt greatly affects the performance of the electric power steering apparatus. In the case of the friction type V-belt, if the tension is too large with respect to an appropriate value, the operating torque (friction during no load) increases and the steering wheel returns poorly, which adversely affects the steering feeling. On the other hand, when the tension is too small with respect to the appropriate value, the frictional V-belt has insufficient frictional force and slips, so that power cannot be transmitted. Further, in the case of a flat-tooth belt, the meshing state is deteriorated, resulting in a problem in durability. Therefore, when a belt is used for the reduction gear of the electric power steering apparatus, it is necessary to maintain the belt tension within a proper range.
Timing belts are widely used for driving camshafts of engines. Since the engine rotates only in a certain direction, the side on which the tension on the belt is applied and the side on which it is slack are determined. Therefore, an auto tensioner is provided on the slack side, and the tensioner is pressed against the belt with a pressing force of a predetermined elastic body or the like so that the tension becomes an appropriate value. The influence, fluctuation, and belt elongation of the distance between the shaft centers are almost absorbed because the tensioner is displaced by elastic deformation of the elastic body. For this reason, the belt tension adjusting mechanism using the elastic body has an advantage that it can flexibly cope with most errors and deformations of the constituent members.
However, the situation is different in a power transmission system in which the rotation direction changes in both forward and reverse directions. For example, when a timing belt is used for the reduction gear of the electric power steering apparatus, the rotational direction of the reduction gear is not constant unlike the engine. That is, since the handle is turned to the right or left, the rotation direction of the timing belt also changes accordingly. Since a string-like body such as a belt can bear only the pulling force, one side of the belt bears the tension for driving and the other side does not bear this. When the rotation direction changes, in the belt drive, the side on which tension is applied and the side on which it is slack change according to this change.
For example, in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2003-220958 (Patent Document 4), it is known to adjust the tension using a tensioner, but when an initial tension is applied to the belt using an elastic tensioner, the tensioner is provided. The other side changes from the loose side to the tension side as the rotational direction changes. The tensioner moves to a position where the force is balanced in accordance with the change in tension. Since the power cannot be transmitted (or little) during this movement period, a power transmission delay occurs. This transmission delay is the same even if tensioners are provided on both sides.
In the power steering apparatus, when such a transmission delay occurs, the assist force is not transmitted during this time even if the assist motor rotates. Since the handle is not assisted, the handle becomes heavy when the handle is reversed. At this time, the driver feels as if the steering is caught, and the steering feeling is deteriorated.
In order to avoid such a phenomenon, when a timing belt is used for the speed reducer of the electric power steering apparatus, the distance between the shaft centers of the pulleys is adjusted as described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2003-220959 (Patent Document 5). Or by providing an idle pulley and adjusting the core position of the idle pulley, that is, without using a tensioner by the elastic force, it is necessary to apply the initial tension using only the elastic force of the belt itself. is there.
At the beginning of driving, the temperature of each part and device of the entire vehicle is low, but this temperature rises as the driving continues. This temperature rise is no exception in the power steering apparatus. As the temperature rises, the entire power steering apparatus expands, and a change occurs in the distance between the shaft centers of the two pulleys that span the belt or the position of the idle pulley. The belt itself expands, but generally the amount is small. As a result of these thermal expansions, changes in the belt tension occur. In particular, when the tensioner due to elastic force is not used, the displacement difference of thermal expansion cannot be absorbed by the displacement of the elastic body, so almost all of the displacement difference due to thermal expansion greatly changes the average tension of the belt. Effect. This causes the problems mentioned above.
Glass fiber: 0.5 to 0.7 × 10 −5 / ° C.
Aluminum: 2.4 × 10 −5 / ° C
It is. If the operating temperature range of the electric power steering apparatus is −40 ° C. to 120 ° C., the difference in linear expansion coefficient as described above cannot be ignored. When an elastic body is not used, the belt tension greatly fluctuates as the temperature changes due to this difference, which adversely affects the performance of the electric power steering apparatus.
The present invention was invented in view of such circumstances, and the belt reduction device for an electric power steering device and electric power which can reduce the operation sound without making layout difficult and provide a good steering feeling. It is an object of the present invention to provide an electric power steering apparatus including a mechanism. (24) The harness take-out port of the assist motor has an angle formed by a line connecting the axis of the drive pulley and the driven pulley and a line connecting the axis of the drive pulley and the harness take-out port of 90 degrees. The electric power steering device according to (22), characterized in that:
(25) The electric power steering apparatus according to (22), further comprising an idler pulley that applies a predetermined tension to the drive belt.
(26) The electric power steering apparatus according to (25), wherein the idler pulley is disposed at a position where a belt winding angle of the driving pulley is increased.
According to the belt reduction device for an electric power steering apparatus of (1), the tan β is between the twist angle β of each inclined tooth and the friction coefficient μ between the first or second inclined tooth and the third inclined tooth. The twist angle β and the friction coefficient μ are selected so that the relationship of <μ holds. By selecting β and μ in this way, the frictional force is greater than the force generated in the tooth trace direction of the drive belt, and the force that the drive belt tries to move toward the tooth trace direction is canceled out by the friction force. It is. For this reason, the demerit inherent to the inclined drive belt, that is, the force in the belt width direction (thrust force) is suppressed, so the end face of the drive belt and the surface of the flange provided on either the drive pulley or the driven pulley The force (surface pressure) that works during the period becomes weaker. As a result, the generation of rubbing noise can be reduced. Furthermore, since the occurrence of wear can be reduced because the surface pressure is small, the durability of the drive belt can be improved.
Further, according to the electric power steering device of (2), tan β << between the torsion angle β of each inclined tooth and the friction coefficient μ between the first or second inclined tooth and the third inclined tooth. Since the thrust force inherent to the inclined teeth is reduced by having a relationship of μ, the flange surface provided on either the drive pulley or the driven pulley and the end surface of the drive belt As a result, a large surface pressure does not act, and this can reduce rubbing noise and wear generated in the inclined belt type speed reducer. This also improves the durability of the drive belt.
According to the electric power steering device of (3), the assist motor includes a motor flange that is rotatably mounted on the housing of the electric power steering device, and the shaft center of the motor flange is the shaft of the first rotating member. Since it is parallel to the core and away from the axis of the first rotating member by a predetermined dimension, by rotating the motor flange, the position of the first rotating member is changed to set the backlash to an appropriate value. Can be adjusted.
Further, according to the electric power steering device of (4), the first rotating member is an input gear arranged coaxially with the rotating shaft of the assist motor, and the second rotating member receives the rotational power of the input gear. Since it is a gear, by rotating the motor flange, the shaft center of the input gear is rotated around the motor flange, the distance between the shaft centers of the input gear is changed, and the backlash can be adjusted to an appropriate value. . With this configuration, it is possible to eliminate troublesome operations such as matching for searching for a combination capable of obtaining an optimal backlash by selecting mutually meshing gears, and to improve productivity.
In addition, according to the electric power steering apparatus of (5), since the input gear is integrally formed with the rotating shaft of the assist motor, the number of parts such as bearings can be reduced, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
Further, according to the electric power steering device of (6), the drive conversion device is a ball screw device, and the output gear transmits the rotational power of the input gear to the nut of the ball screw device. Thus, the rack shaft can be reliably moved.
According to the electric power steering device of (7), the drive conversion device is a pinion that is coupled to the worm wheel shaft of the worm gear reduction device and a rack shaft that meshes with the pinion, and the first rotating member is the rotation of the assist motor. Since the worm is a worm coupled to the shaft and the second rotating member meshes with the worm, the motor flange is rotated to change the distance between the worm shaft center and the worm wheel shaft back. Rush can be adjusted to an appropriate value. With this configuration, it is possible to eliminate troublesome operations such as matching for searching for a combination capable of obtaining an optimal backlash by selecting mutually meshing gears, and to improve productivity.
Further, according to the electric power steering device of (8), since the worm is integrally formed with the rotating shaft of the assist motor, the number of parts such as bearings can be reduced, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
According to the electric power steering device of (9), the drive conversion device is a ball screw device, the first rotating member is a drive pulley arranged coaxially with the rotating shaft of the assist motor, and the second rotation Since the member is a driven pulley driven from the driving pulley via the driving belt, the driving pulley is directly rotated by the rotation of the rotating shaft in the assist motor, so that transmission power from the rotating shaft is eliminated and efficient power is eliminated. Can communicate. Accordingly, tension can be easily adjusted even in a driving belt having a large variation in products, and productivity can be improved.
In addition, according to the electric power steering device of (10), since the drive pulley is integrally formed with the rotating shaft of the assist motor, the number of parts such as a bearing can be reduced, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
Further, according to the electric power steering device of (11), the gear device composed of the input gear constituting the first rotating member and the output gear constituting the second rotating member is a spur gear or a helical gear. Since it is configured by any gear device including a worm and a worm wheel, reliable power transmission can be performed by a relatively inexpensive device without using a complicated gear device.
Further, according to the belt speed reducer for the electric power steering apparatus of (12), the tension adjusting mechanism for adjusting the tension of the driving belt is provided, and the tension adjusting mechanism is driven when the temperature of the belt speed reducing apparatus fluctuates. Since there is a counter-expanding part made of a material that causes a fluctuation in tension opposite to the fluctuation in tension generated in the belt, no elastic member such as a spring is used, so that rotation from the assist motor is transmitted to the driven pulley without delay. Is done. For this reason, even when the direction in which the steering wheel is turned is changed, the driver is not given a feeling of inferiority, that is, a feeling of being caught due to a transmission delay. And since the increase in the tension of the drive belt accompanying the rise in the temperature of the housing caused by not using the elastic body is offset by the tension adjusting mechanism, the power transmission is not hindered by this.
Further, according to the belt speed reducer for the electric power steering device of (13), since the driving belt is a timing belt, the timing belt is a belt that is durable and does not stretch, so that it is sufficient for long-term use. Can withstand.
Further, according to the belt speed reducer for the electric power steering device of (14), the offset expansion portion of the tension adjusting mechanism is made of a material having a smaller linear expansion coefficient than the material of the housing. Since the thermal expansion does not occur as much, the change in tension due to temperature can be offset.
According to the belt speed reducer for the electric power steering device of (15), the materials of the housing, the core of the drive belt, and the offset expansion portion of the tension adjusting mechanism are aluminum, glass fiber, and ceramics, respectively. Therefore, these materials do not cause thermal expansion as much as the housing even if the temperature of the housing rises, so that the change in tension due to temperature can be offset.
According to the belt speed reducer for the electric power steering device of (16), the tension adjusting mechanism includes a roller holder supported by the housing so as to be swingable, a tension roller supported rotatably by the roller holder, and a tension. In order to make it possible to adjust the position where the roller presses the belt, it is possible to adjust the swing angle of the roller holder by engaging the tip, and a swing having a counteracting expansion part on the tip side. Since the adjustment member is provided, the initial tension can be adjusted by adjusting the screwing amount of the swing adjustment member.
According to the belt speed reducer for the electric power steering apparatus of (17), the tension adjusting mechanism is fixed to the housing and forms a counter-expanding portion, and the roller is swingably supported by the shaft support frame. In order to be able to adjust the holder, the tension roller rotatably supported by the roller holder, and the position at which the tension roller presses the belt, it is possible to adjust the swing angle of the roller holder by engaging the tip. Therefore, the initial tension can be adjusted by adjusting the screwing amount of the swing adjustment member.
Further, according to the belt speed reducer for the electric power steering apparatus of (18), the shaft support frame has a U-shape, and the roller holder is pivotally supported by the two legs, so that the roller holder is stable. Can be supported.
According to the belt speed reducer for an electric power steering device of (19), the tension adjusting mechanism rotatably supports the drive pulley, and a pulley holder that is swingably supported by the housing, the drive pulley, and the driven pulley. In order to make the distance between the shaft centers adjustable, the swing angle of the pulley holder can be adjusted by engaging the tip, and a swing adjustment member having a counteracting expansion portion on the tip side, and Since the position of the pulley holder is regulated by the swing adjustment member and the position of the drive pulley differs depending on the posture of the pulley holder, the tension of the drive belt is adjusted by adjusting the screwing amount of the swing adjustment member. Is possible.
According to the belt speed reducer for an electric power steering apparatus of (20), the swing adjustment male screw portion for screwing the swing adjustment member with the swing adjustment female screw portion provided in the housing is a base portion. Therefore, the swing adjustment member can be accurately moved by the advancement and retraction of the screw.
Further, according to the electric power steering device of (21), the belt speed reducer, the rack tooth portion that is supported by the housing so as not to rotate and is movable in the axial direction, and meshes with the pinion rotated by the steering wheel, and the ball screw mechanism. A rack shaft having a male screw portion to constitute, a nut screwed into the male screw portion of the ball screw mechanism via a ball and the rotation of the driven pulley being transmitted, and an assist for rotationally driving the drive pulley supported by the housing The motor power steering device uses a belt speed reducer that does not use an elastic body to maintain the tension of the drive belt constant, and the rotation from the assist motor is transmitted without delay to the driven pulley. The For this reason, even when the direction in which the steering wheel is turned is changed, the driver is not given the poor feeling described above, that is, the feeling of being caught by a transmission delay.
According to the electric power steering device of (22), the assist motor includes a motor flange mounted on the housing by a plurality of bolts, and the motor flange can swing with respect to the housing with one bolt as a fulcrum. Therefore, since the distance between the shaft centers of the drive pulley and the driven pulley can be changed by swinging the motor flange with the bolt as a fulcrum, the tension of the drive belt can be easily adjusted. . Further, by using the bolt as a fulcrum, the tension adjusting mechanism can be configured at low cost without increasing the number of parts.
According to the electric power steering device of (23), the angle between the line connecting the shaft core of the drive pulley and the driven pulley and the line connecting the shaft core of the drive pulley and the fulcrum is 90 degrees or less. Therefore, the distance between the shaft centers of the drive pulley and the driven pulley can be greatly changed and the range of motion of the assist motor can be set small even for a small rotation angle by the assist motor.
According to the electric power steering apparatus of (24), the harness take-out port of the assist motor connects the line connecting the drive pulley and the driven pulley with the shaft core, and the line connecting the drive pulley shaft core and the harness take-out port. Since the angle formed by this is 90 degrees or less, the projecting harness outlet should not be placed at a position where there is a risk of interference with the vehicle body, particularly with the auxiliary equipment in the engine room, thereby improving the layout. Can do.
In addition, according to the electric power steering device of (25), the idler pulley that applies a predetermined tension to the drive belt is provided, so the moving direction of the drive pulley by the rotation of the assist motor adjusts the distance between the shaft centers. However, even if the direction is inefficient, the tension can be adjusted.
Further, according to the electric power steering device of (26), the idler pulley is arranged so that the belt winding angle at the drive pulley is increased, so that the durability of the drive belt can be improved.
As described above, the present invention is coupled to the motor shaft in the electric power steering apparatus that converts the rotation of the motor that supplies the steering assist force into the axial movement of the rack shaft via the speed reduction mechanism and turns the traveling wheel. The motor flange on which the motor is mounted is attached to the axis of the first rotating member provided on the rotating shaft of the motor so that the distance between the axis of the first rotating member and the rotating member of the speed reduction mechanism can be changed. It is characterized in that it is held so as to be rotatable around a rotation axis that is parallel to the axis and separated from the shaft core by a predetermined dimension. According to this configuration, in the case of the input gear in which the first rotation member and the rotation member of the speed reduction mechanism are coupled to the motor shaft and the gear meshing with the input gear, the rotation between the two gears can be achieved by simply rotating the motor flange. The interval can be changed and the backlash can be adjusted to an appropriate value.
Also, in the case of a worm in which the first rotating member and the rotating member of the speed reduction mechanism are coupled to the motor shaft and a worm wheel meshing with the worm, the distance between the worm and the worm wheel can be obtained simply by rotating the motor flange. The backlash can be adjusted to an appropriate value. With this configuration, it is possible to eliminate complicated operations such as matching for searching for a combination that obtains an optimal backlash by selecting gears to be engaged with each other, and to improve productivity.
Furthermore, in the case of an input pulley and an output pulley in which the first rotating member and the rotating member of the speed reduction mechanism are coupled to the motor shaft, the tension of the transmission belt wound between the input pulley and the output pulley is set appropriately. The tension can be easily adjusted even in a transmission belt having a large variation in product, and productivity can be improved.
Furthermore, according to the present invention, the motor shaft and gears or pulleys can be assembled together, so that the number of parts such as bearings can be reduced and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
Furthermore, according to the electric power steering apparatus or the belt speed reducer of the present invention, the thrust force inherent to the inclined teeth is reduced, so that the surfaces of the flanges of the drive pulley and the driven pulley and the drive belt A large surface pressure does not act on the end face, and this produces an effect that it is possible to reduce rubbing noise and wear generated in the inclined belt type speed reducer. This also has the effect of improving the durability of the drive belt.
Furthermore, according to the belt driving device of the present invention and the electric power steering device incorporating the belt driving device, the elastic body is not used to keep the tension of the driving belt constant. Is transmitted without delay. For this reason, in the electric power steering apparatus incorporating this, even when the direction in which the steering wheel is turned changes, the driver does not have the bad feeling described above, that is, the feeling of being caught due to transmission delay. . And since the increase in the tension of the drive belt accompanying the rise in the temperature of the housing caused by not using the elastic body is offset by the tension adjusting mechanism, the power transmission is not hindered by this.
Hereinafter, a belt speed reducer for an electric power steering apparatus and an electric power steering apparatus according to each embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
(First embodiment)
First, a belt speed reducer for an electric power steering apparatus and an electric power steering apparatus according to a first embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS.
The electric
The
On the center side of the
The
The driven
The
3 and 4 are an enlarged view of the vicinity of the
Here, between the twist angle β and the friction coefficient μ between the
The overall operation of the electric
On the other hand, the torsion amount of the torsion bar is detected by the
According to the
(Second Embodiment)
Next, an electric power steering apparatus according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In the present embodiment, a gear reduction mechanism using a helical gear is employed.
In the electric
In order to avoid interference between the
The
The
The
The
The
A
In the above configuration, based on the steering torque of the steering wheel shaft detected by the
Next, backlash adjustment will be described. The backlash between the
For this reason, when the
The adjustment of the backlash between the

(Third embodiment)
Next, an electric power steering apparatus according to a third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. In this embodiment, a gear reduction mechanism using a helical gear is also employed. Further, the sectional view taken along the line VI-VI in FIG. 7 is the same as that shown in FIG.
The third embodiment is different from the second embodiment in that the
In the electric

The
A rocking
As shown in FIG. 23, the
The
A fixing
δ=(α−β)×L1×(L3/L2)
The
δ = (α−β) × L1 × (L3 / L2)
It can be expressed as Therefore, by selecting or setting the material (linear expansion coefficient β) of the canceling
の間に設けられたトルク検出装置15b(図1参照。)
The
Since the
The initial tension of the
Further, since an elastic member such as a spring is not used for the
(14th Embodiment)
Next, a belt speed reducer for an electric power steering apparatus and an electric power steering apparatus according to a fourteenth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
The difference of the electric
As shown in FIGS. 26 and 27, the
The
As in the thirteenth embodiment, the
(Fifteenth embodiment)
Next, a belt speed reducer for an electric power steering device and an electric power steering device according to a fifteenth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
In the thirteenth and fourteenth embodiments, the
The
As in the thirteenth and fourteenth embodiments, the
A fixing
The mounting
When the temperature of the electric
Also in this embodiment, since an elastic body is not used to maintain the tension of the
(Sixteenth embodiment)
Next, an electric power steering apparatus according to a sixteenth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 30 and 32. FIG.
In the electric
As shown in FIG. 31, the
The
The
The driven
The
The nut 321 is supported by the bearing 326 so as to be rotatable with respect to the housing but not axially. A circulating ball 327 is interposed between the internal thread portion formed on the inner peripheral surface of the nut 321 and the
As shown in FIG. 31, a pair of
As shown in FIG. 32, the fulcrum C has an angle θ1 formed by a line a1 connecting the axis of the
Further, the harness take-out
In this embodiment, the
(17th Embodiment)
Next, an electric power steering device according to a seventeenth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected about the part equivalent to 16th Embodiment, and description is abbreviate | omitted or simplified.
In the electric

Next, an electric power steering device according to a seventeenth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected about the part equivalent to 16th Embodiment, and description is abbreviate | omitted or simplified.

Other configurations and operations are the same as those of the sixteenth embodiment.
(Nineteenth embodiment)
Next, an electric power steering device according to a nineteenth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected about the part equivalent to 16th Embodiment, and description is abbreviate | omitted or simplified.
In the electric
The
Further, as shown in FIG. 40, the
