従来のスイッチング電源装置は、図2に示すように、交流電源1と、この交流電源1の供給/停止を行なうスイッチSWと、このスイッチSWで供給された交流電源1を整流平滑して出力電圧を出力する整流平滑回路103と、この整流平滑回路103から出力された出力電圧をスイッチングして直流電圧を生成するスイッチング回路2と、このスイッチング回路2を制御する制御IC8と、この制御IC8の起動電圧を出力電圧から生成する起動抵抗R及びコンデンサCとで構成され、整流平滑回路103から出力された出力電圧を起動抵抗RでコンデンサCに充電し、その充電電圧が制御IC8の起動開始電圧に到達した時に、制御IC8が発振を開始してスイッチング動作するため、負荷短絡等の保護回路が働いた時の間欠発振の周期は、起動抵抗RとコンデンサCとの時定数で決まっていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来のスイッチング電源装置は、制御ICの起動時間を早くすると、負荷短絡等の保護回路が働いた時の間欠発振の周期が短くなり、出力側の整流ダイオードやチョークコイルに多大なストレスがかかり、電流定格の大きい部品を必要とする課題があった。

上述の課題を解決するために、本発明のスイッチング電源装置は、交流電源と、この交流電源を整流平滑して第1電圧を出力し、かつ上記交流電源に接続された第1整流平滑回路と、上記交流電源の供給/停止を行なうスイッチと、このスイッチで供給された上記交流電源を整流平滑して第2電圧及び第3電圧を各々出力する第2整流平滑回路及び第3整流平滑回路と、この第2整流平滑回路から出力された第2電圧をスイッチングして直流電圧を生成するスイッチング回路と、このスイッチング回路を制御する制御ICと、この制御ICの起動電圧を上記第2電圧から生成する起動抵抗及びコンデンサと、この起動抵抗及びコンデンサで生成された起動電圧より低いレギュレート電圧を上記第1整流平滑回路から生成して上記コンデンサを充電するレギュレータ回路と、このレギュレータ回路を停止するリセット電圧を上記第3電圧から生成するリセット回路とで構成されたことを特徴とする。
また、本発明のスイッチング電源装置は、前記スイッチがオンになった場合に、前記第2整流平滑回路が出力する第2電圧により前記起動抵抗を通して前記コンデンサを充電し、前記コンデンサの電圧が前記制御ICの起動開始電圧に到達したときに、前記制御ICが発振を開始する。

以上説明したように、本発明のスイッチング電源装置によれば、スイッチオン前に制御ICに起動開始電圧より低い電圧を既に供給しているため、スイッチオン後に制御ICの起動開始電圧までの充電時間は短くて済み、起動抵抗の抵抗値を大きくしても起動時間は遅くならず、かつスイッチオン後にレギュレータ回路を止めてしまうことから、負荷短絡等の間欠発振時は起動抵抗の抵抗値を大きくすることができ、間欠発振の周期を長くできるので、出力側の整流ダイオードやチョークコイルを電流定格の小さい部品にできる効果がある。
