BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a power unit, and more particularly, to a drive unit that is preferably used in an image forming apparatus such as a printer, and an image forming apparatus including the drive unit.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, an image forming apparatus such as a printer typically uses a motor as its drive source. A metal spur gear is attached to the output shaft of such a motor as a motor output gear.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In recent years, there has been a need to increase the speed of driving members as the speed of image formation increases. Therefore, when trying to rotate at high speed using a motor with high output, noise due to gear squeal increases when the motor output gear is a spur gear with a gear groove cut parallel to the axial direction. Also, it is difficult to reliably transmit large power. On the other hand, if an oblique gear whose gear groove is cut obliquely with respect to the axial direction is used as the output gear of the motor, since the meshing of the gear is larger than that of the spur gear, the noise due to gear noise is small, Suitable for high-load high-speed transmission.
[0004]
However, since the inclined gear is usually formed by cutting a metal, when the inclined gear is used as the output gear of the motor, there is a problem that the processing cost becomes high. On the other hand, when the bevel gear is molded from resin, the cost is reduced. However, when it is used as the output gear of a motor, the resin expands with respect to the output shaft due to the heat generated from the motor when the motor is driven. In addition, the gear may idle with respect to the output shaft. In this case, if knurling or the like is performed on the motor shaft, idling can be prevented. However, if knurling is directly performed on the motor shaft, the cost increases, and the reduction in cost due to the use of resin is offset.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems, and the object of the present invention is to reduce noise and reliably transmit large power even when rotating at a high speed, and to reduce the cost. Another object is to provide a driving device and an image forming apparatus including the driving device.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention described in claim 1 is a drive device in which a resin oblique gear meshing with the first gear is attached to the output shaft of the drive source, A metal detent for preventing relative rotation of the oblique gear with respect to the output shaft is attached around the detent gear, and the detent is formed on a cylindrical outer peripheral portion and one axial direction of the outer peripheral portion. And an uneven portion for prohibiting relative rotation of the inclined gear with respect to the rotation stopper, and is inserted into a through-hole formed in the inclined gear, In the radial direction, the first gear is meshed with a portion facing the outer peripheral portion of the detent.
[0007]
According to such a configuration, since the metal detent is attached to the output shaft of the drive source, and the bevel gear made of resin is attached to the detent, the drive source is generated when the drive source is driven. Heat is not directly transferred to the resin gear teeth. Therefore, the resin-made oblique gear is firmly fixed to the rotation stopper, and since the rotation stopper is made of metal, it is firmly fixed to the output shaft without expanding. As a result, relative rotation of the resin oblique gear with respect to the output shaft is prohibited, and a large drive can be reliably transmitted to the first gear.
In addition, when the drive source is driven, the heat generated from the drive source causes the resin-made oblique gear to expand relative to the metal detent and thereby rotate freely with respect to the detent. Since the unevenness for prohibiting relative rotation of the inclined gear with respect to the rotation stopper is formed on the outer periphery of the stopper, such idle rotation can be prevented by the engagement of the unevenness with the inclined gear.
And the portion of the inclined gear facing the unevenness formed on the outer periphery of the rotation stopper may be deformed along the uneven shape, and the accuracy of the gear of that portion may be reduced. By forming it only in a predetermined range in the axial direction, the outer peripheral portion of the detent having no irregularities is secured, and the inclined gear facing the outer peripheral portion of the detent having no irregularities is formed. By using the outer peripheral portion for meshing with the first gear, good use can be achieved without reducing the accuracy of the gear.
[0008]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, the detent is press-fitted into the output shaft, and the inclined gear is press-fitted into the press-fitted detent. It is characterized by that. By press-fitting a detent on the output shaft, and further inserting a bevel gear into the press-fitted detent, it is possible to easily and reliably attach the resin declination gear to the output shaft of the drive source.
[0009]
The invention according to claim 3 is the invention according to claim 1, wherein the inclined gear is formed in a state where the rotation stopper is inserted, and the inclined gear and the rotation stopper integrated thereby. Is press-fitted into the output shaft. When a rotation stopper is press-fitted into the output shaft, and a bevel gear is press-fitted to the press-fitted detent, it requires two press-fittings, but the detent is inserted into the bevel gear. If they are integrally formed, the integrated inclined gear and the rotation stopper can be attached to the output shaft by one press-fitting. For this reason, shaft runout and deformation due to press-fitting can be reduced as compared with the case of mounting by two press-fittings.
[0010]
A fourth aspect of the invention is characterized in that the drive device according to any one of the first to third aspects is used as a drive source of an image forming apparatus. By using the drive device according to any one of claims 1 to 3 as a drive source of the image forming apparatus, there is little noise caused by gear noise during operation of the image forming apparatus, and large power is reliably transmitted to the drive member. be able to.
ContractClaim5The image forming apparatus according to claim 1 is an agitator for stirring toner, and an image forming apparatus.4And the drive device includes a main motor for driving the agitator as the drive source.
In order to drive the agitator, a relatively large driving force is required, but this agitator can be driven at a high output by a main motor having a high output.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the invention described in claim 1, since the resin oblique gear can be used as the output gear of the drive source, the meshing of the gear can be made larger than that of the spur gear, Large power can be reliably transmitted at high speed while reducing noise due to gear ringing, and since the inclined gear is molded of resin, compared to using a metal inclined gear, Significant cost reduction can be achieved. In addition, since the relative rotation of the inclined gear with respect to the rotation stopper is prohibited by the unevenness formed on the outer periphery of the rotation stopper, the inclined gear can transmit power well without idling with respect to the rotation stopper. it can. Then, by forming the unevenness only in a predetermined range of the outer periphery of the rotation stopper, the outer periphery portion of the rotation stopper without the unevenness is secured, and the outer periphery portion of the rotation stopper without the unevenness is opposed. By using the portion of the inclined gear for meshing with the first gear, good use can be achieved without reducing the accuracy of the gear.
[0048]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the resin oblique gear can be attached to the output shaft of the drive source by a simple method, the cost of the drive device can be reduced. According to the third aspect of the present invention, the integrated oblique gear and the rotation stopper can be attached to the output shaft by one press-fitting, and therefore, by press-fitting as compared with the case of attaching by two press-fittings. Axial runout and deformation can be reduced. Therefore, the gear accuracy can be improved.
[0049]
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, noise during operation of the image forming apparatus can be reduced, and the image forming speed can be increased.. ContractClaim5According to the invention described in (1), a relatively large driving force is required to drive the agitator, but the agitator can be driven at a high output by the main motor having a high output.
