Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electronic device on which a plurality of printed boards are mounted.
[0002]

Conventionally, there are a communication device and a computer as an electronic device on which a plurality of printed boards are mounted. A conventional electronic device casing generally has a box-shaped bookshelf structure shown in FIG. In FIG. 19, the bookshelf structure has a plurality of

Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 62-42296 discloses that the printed board is disposed at an angle so that the printed board does not interfere with the placement of the mounted components in the housing. However, this publication is not related to a cooling device.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Although the functions of the electronic device are divided in units of printed circuit boards, uniform arrangement as hardware is difficult due to the diversity and complexity of functions, and deviations in the mounting density of components occur for each printed circuit board. Further, in recent years, high-density integrated mounting has been advanced. Therefore, a partial or local increase in heat generation occurs as the amount of heat generation increases.
[0007]
For this reason, in the conventional electronic device in which the cooling is performed by uniform ventilation from the lower part to the upper part of the casing, there may be a case where the cooling for the part where the partial or local heat generation is increased is not sufficient. Further, in the chimney structure with the slit shape of the

An object of the present invention is to provide an electronic device having an excellent cooling effect and a simple structure.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
An electronic device according to the present invention includes at least two side wall members having a plurality of guide rails spaced apart in the vertical direction, a vertically extending column disposed on the back side of the side wall member, and the column. A backboard, a plurality of printed boards having connectors that can be inserted and removed along the guide rails of the side wall member and can be fitted to the connectors of the backboard, and air passages provided along the support columns; Two side wall members and two printed circuit boards form a partitioned cooling space so that air blown out from the air passage to the cooling space is discharged from the end of the cooling space on the side far from the support column. It is characterized by that.
[0013]
According to this configuration, the printed circuit board is placed horizontally (in a posture perpendicular to the vertical axis of the housing) to form a cooling space in which the two side wall members and the two printed circuit boards are partitioned, Air blown out from the air passage to the cooling space is discharged from the end of the cooling space on the side far from the support column. Therefore, the cooling air introduced between the two printed circuit boards in the vertical direction from the air passage passes through the cooling space between the two printed circuit boards and is discharged from the end portion on the side far from the air passage. The cooling air travels along the surface of the printed circuit board and cools electronic components and the like attached to the printed circuit board, and the air heated by cooling the electronic components and the like is exhausted between the two printed circuit boards. . The cooling space is defined by two side wall members and two printed circuit boards, and is not substantially in communication with the other cooling spaces. Therefore, air that has been exhausted from one cooling space and whose temperature has risen does not flow into the other cooling space, and each cooling space is always cooled by fresh air that does not rise in temperature, and the air cooling effect is good.
[0014]
Preferably, the following configuration can be adopted together with this configuration.
The guide rail is provided obliquely so that the end on the air passage side is low and the end on the side far from the air passage is high .
The support column is hollow, and the air passage is provided inside the support column.
A fan is disposed at the end of the support column, and a tube having an opening in the vicinity of the fan is passed through the interior of the support column and extends from a hole provided in the support column to each cooling space. Is forming.
[0015]
Electrical wiring passes through the inside of the column and extends from a hole provided in the column.
The at least two side wall members are composed of three or more side wall members arranged radially.
