[0039]
In general, due to wavelength conversion or attenuation of the fundamental wave incident laser beam due to transmission loss of the optical element, the fundamental wave incident laser beam power is attenuated each time wavelength conversion is repeated, and the laser beam power density at the position of the wavelength conversion element decreases. Therefore, when a wavelength conversion element is used in which the wavelength conversion efficiency increases as the fundamental wave incident laser beam power density increases, the wavelength conversion efficiency in the second and subsequent wavelength conversions is greater than the wavelength conversion efficiency in the first time. Decreases.

【The invention's effect】
According to the first configuration of the present invention, since the condensing diameters of the fundamental wave laser beams by the plurality of condensing means are sequentially reduced, the fundamental wave incident laser beam intensity is changed by the wavelength conversion element or the optical element by the wavelength conversion element. Even when the wavelength conversion element is attenuated by transmission loss due to passage or the like, the decrease in the fundamental wave incident laser beam power density can be reduced, and the wavelength conversion efficiency can be increased.
In addition, it is equipped with a plurality of beam splitters that change the path of the incident fundamental laser beam that has been wavelength-converted by a plurality of wavelength conversion elements, and is separated into the wavelength converted laser beam and the incident fundamental laser beam by the beam splitter. The amount of the wavelength conversion laser beam generated by the conversion element can pass through other wavelength conversion elements can be reduced, and deterioration such as coloring and damage of the wavelength conversion element can be prevented. A fundamentally incident laser beam with high intensity can be incident, and a higher-power wavelength-converted laser beam can be generated. Moreover, attenuation of the wavelength conversion laser beam due to transmission loss when passing through another wavelength conversion element can be avoided.
Since each wavelength conversion laser beam generated from the plurality of wavelength conversion elements is separately extracted, the amount of the wavelength conversion laser beam generated by one wavelength conversion element can pass through other wavelength conversion elements can be reduced. Degradation such as coloring and damage of the conversion element can be prevented, and as a result, the damage threshold is increased, so that a higher-intensity fundamental wave incident laser beam can be incident, and a higher-power wavelength-converted laser beam is generated. be able to. Moreover, attenuation of the wavelength conversion laser beam due to transmission loss when passing through another wavelength conversion element can be avoided. Further, only the residual fundamental wave incident laser beam can be made incident on another wavelength conversion element by performing an operation such as rotating the polarization direction.
[0070]
First of the present invention2According to the configuration, since the reflection optical element is used as the light condensing means, the optical element of the beam light guide system can be used as the light condensing element. Further, since there is no transmission loss compared to the case where a transmission optical element such as a lens is used, transmission with less loss is possible. Further, since there is no thermal distortion due to absorption of the transmitted beam, it can be used for condensing a beam with a higher output than when a transmission optical element such as a lens is used.
[0072]
First of the present invention3According to the configuration, since each wavelength conversion laser beam generated from the plurality of wavelength conversion elements is incident on an optical fiber having an optical fiber bundle or a coupler attached thereto, the plurality of wavelength conversions generated are combined. A laser beam can be used in combination.
