本発明は、ワードプロセッサ(文書作成装置)、電子写真式複写機、プリンタ装置、ファクシミリ装置等の画像形成装置における単票用紙(カット紙)を搬送する搬送装置の構造に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、例えば、本出願人が先に提案した特開平7−311535号公報に開示されているように、プリンタ装置における本体ケースの上面前部寄り位置にキーボード等の操作パネル部を備える一方、本体ケースの上面後部には、シート類としての単票用紙(カット紙ともいう)を本体ケース内の画像形成部(印字部)に向かって給紙するための給紙トレイを、本体ケースの上面に対して後傾斜状に且つ着脱自在に装着する一方、本体ケースの上面に対して開閉回動可能なカバー体の下面には、ピンチローラとガイドリブとを設け、単票用紙の搬送経路(給紙経路)中に設けた搬送ローラの上面に対して前記ピンチローラを当接させる構成を提案している。

この構成によれば、前記搬送経路(給紙経路)中に単票用紙の紙ジャムがあった場合、カバー体を開くだけで、前記搬送経路(給紙経路)が開放され、詰まった紙を簡単に除去できるものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、前記カバー体の回動中心箇所では、枢着軸を本体ケースとの間に挿通させて本体ケースとカバー体とを回動可能に連結しなければならず、カバー体の取り付け作業に手間が掛かるという問題があった。
また、カバー体が不用意に回動しないように、本体ケースとカバー体とに係脱部(係合爪とその係止部)とを設ける必要があり、さらに、カバー体を閉じた状態において、搬送ローラに対してピンチローラを押圧する必要があり、それらの構造に特別の工夫も必要となるから、プリンタ装置等、画像形成装置の製造コストが高くなるという問題があった。

前記目的を達成するため、請求項1に記載の発明の搬送装置は、本体ケースの上面後端側を支点として前後回動可能に枢着されるトレイ板を備え、前記トレイ板及びホッパー板に積層された単票用紙を給紙ローラと分離面とにより1枚ずつ搬送する搬送装置において、搬送経路のうち前記給紙ローラより搬送下流側に配置して駆動する搬送ローラと、該搬送ローラに押圧するピンチローラと、該ピンチローラを一端部にて支持すると共に広幅面にて前記単票用紙の搬送を案内するように構成されたガイド体とからなり、前記ガイド体を、前記給紙ローラより搬送下流側で且つ上方位置であって、前記トレイ板を後上向き姿勢にした状態で、上方を覆われない位置に配置し、前記ガイド体の広幅面には単票用紙の搬送方向に沿って、前記ピンチローラの配置される一端部とその他端部との間の中途部に回動中心となる支持孔を穿設する一方、前記ガイド体を回動支持する支持体には、前記支持孔に嵌合し、且つ支持縁片を備えた舌片を突設させ、該支持体と前記ガイド体の他端とを、前記ピンチローラを搬送ローラに付勢するための引張り付勢ばねにて着脱自在に連結したことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、本発明を具体化した実施形態について説明する。図1は携帯可能な文書作成装置1の一部切欠き側面図、図2は給紙部の概略斜視図、図3は搬送部の平面図、図4は搬送部の前面図である。
本発明を適用した文書作成装置1は、合成樹脂製等の本体ケース2の上面前部側に、文字、数字記号等のキーや各種ファックションキーが多数配置されたキー入力部3を有し、本体ケース2の上面には前記キー入力部3の後部において、裏面が合成樹脂製等のカバー体4aにて覆われた液晶ディスプレイ4bからなる表示部4を備える。この表示部4の下端(基端)は、横軸5により本体ケース2の前後方向に回動可能に装着されており、使用時には、図1の実線で示す如く、表示部4の上端側を上向き後傾斜させた開き状態に保持でき、不使用時や携帯時には、液晶ディスプレイ4bがキー入力部3の上面を覆うようにカバー体4aにて保護された閉止姿勢(図1の二点鎖線状態参照)となり、フック体6を介して本体ケース2の前端側に係止できる構成である。

図1、図2、図5〜図7に示すように、本体ケース2内には、後述するように、供給すべき単票用紙Pを積層状にて後上向き傾斜状に載置できる主トレイ板7の下方前方に、前記積層された単票用紙Pを1枚ずつに分離しながら印字部10に向かって給紙するための給紙部9を備える。即ち、給紙部9におけるホッパー板16は、前記主トレイ板7の下端と、前記積層された単票用紙Pの下端縁(搬送方向の前端縁)を案内支持するための支持部17との間にて下向き前傾斜状に配置されている。支持部17の上面は、図2〜図6に示すように、前記ホッパー板16の傾斜に対して略直交するように後下向きに傾斜した受け面17aと、後述する搬送ローラ23の上面方向に下向き前傾斜の案内滑り面(傾斜案内面)17bとを備え、前記受け面17a側には搬送方向と直交する方向に適宜間隔にて凹所17cが凹み形成されている。また、前記受け面17aから案内滑り面17bにわたって、搬送方向と直交する方向に適宜間隔にて、摩擦係数の高い材料からなる滑り抵抗を有する分離面を設ける。その一例として、摩擦係数の高い材料からなる分離シート27が貼着されている。

また、図5〜図7に示すように、前記支持部17の近傍、例えば凹所17cの位置には、ホッパー板16の下端側に、前記受け面17aに対して選択的に出没可能な補助受け体28を配置する。この補助受け体28は、側面視L字状に形成されており、支持軸部29に一体的に取り付けられてあり、支持軸部29は複数箇所にてホッパー板16の下面側に設けたU字状等の軸受部にて回転可能に軸支されている。そして、支持部17の一側に突設したブラケット30に、操作レバー31が、その枢支軸31aを中心にして前後回動可能に装着されている(図5(b)及び図6(b)参照)。前記支持軸部29の一端に固着されたリンク32には、前記操作レバー31の先端に横向き突出させた係合ピン33が嵌合する略円弧状の案内溝32aが形成されており、さらに、ブラケット30と前記リンク32との間に引張り付勢ばね34が装架されていることにより、操作レバー31を図5(b)のように時計回りに回動させると、支持軸部29を反時計方向に回動させ、且つ補助受け体28が前記受け面17aより下方に没する姿勢を保持するように、引張り付勢ばね34の作用線が係合ピン33の位置よりも下側になる。逆に、操作レバー31を図6(b)のように反時計方向に回動させるときには、引張り付勢ばね34の作用線が係合ピン33の位置よりも上側になり、支持軸部29を時計方向に回動させ、且つ補助受け体28が前記受け面17aより上方に突出する姿勢を保持することができる。

通常の印刷用紙等の腰の弱い単票用紙Pの場合、図6(b)に示すように操作レバー31を時計方向に回動操作させることにより、補助受け体28の上面が前記支持部17における受け面17a及び分離シート27の上面より下方に没した姿勢を保持する。この状態にて、主トレイ板7及びホッパー板16の上面に前記単票用紙Pを積層状に載置すると、当該単票用紙Pの搬送方向前端縁は、前記分離シート27に当接することになる(図6(a)参照)。

なお、前記支持部17における凹所17aに配置された給紙ストッパー体36は、横軸36aを中心に上下回動可能であり、また、力の弱い付勢ばね37にて上向き付勢され、通常は給紙ストッパー体36の一部上面が前記支持部17における受け面17a及び分離シート27の上面より上側に突出して、前記積層された単票用紙Pの搬送方向前端縁が不用意に傾斜滑り面17b方向にずれ出さないよう保持されている。

前記支持部17の滑り案内面17bに対峙するガイド体としてのガイド板20と、該各ガイド板20を着脱自在可能且つ回動可能に支持するための支持パネル21とが前記給紙ローラ9aを挟んで搬送経路と反対側に配置され、左右長手の支持パネル21の左右両側端部21b(図8(a)及び図8(b)に右側のみ図示す)を、本体ケース2の上面後部の左右両側に突設した支持片35の上向き開放状の切欠き部35aに着脱自在に支持させる。支持パネル21の上端には、複数のガイド板20を各々付勢ばね22一端を係止するための係止フック部21cを有し、支持パネル21の長手方向の中途部下端側は、図5〜図7及び図11に示すように、前記ホッパー板16の上面に積層した単票用紙Pの表面と略直交する方向に延びるように屈曲させ、その屈曲部の下端には、前記各ガイド板20の広幅面の中途部を回動自在に支持でき、且つ各ガイド板20を着脱自在とするための複数の係合舌片21aを一体的に備える。各係合舌片21aの根本部は、図8及び図10に示すように、直線状の支持縁片21dが一体的に形成されている。そして、ガイド板20は図9に示すように、単票用紙Pの幅方向に複数に分割されており、当該ガイド板20の広幅面の中途部には、1〜3の支持孔20aが穿設されている。各支持孔20aには図10に示すごとく、前記係合舌片21aの根本部における支持縁片21dが嵌まる段部20bが凹み形成されている。また、ガイド板20の上端には、付勢ばね22の他端を係止するための係止フック部20cを備える。ガイド板20の下端には、ピンチローラ19の左右両側端を回転自在に支持するための軸支部20dを備える。
