本発明は、例えば、宇宙から帰還した宇宙機を洋上や湖上などの水面上において探索回収する際に用いられるビーコン装置に関するものである。

ところが、上記した従来のビーコン装置101では、通信電子機器104をフローテーションバッグ102の水面Lから露出した部位に搭載しているものの、悪天候の場合やうねりが強い場合には、水を浴びてしまうことが避けられないため、通信電子機器104に防水対策を施さなくてはならず、その結果、通信電子機器104が大型化して重量も嵩んでしまうという問題を有していた。

【発明の作用】
本発明の請求項1に係わるビーコン装置において、展張手段及び通信電子機器をフローテーションバッグの内部に収容しているので、展張手段及び通信電子機器に防水対策や塩害対策を施す必要がなくなって、展張手段及び通信電子機器の小型軽量化が図られることとなり、加えて、フローテーションバッグの内部に収容した展張手段及び通信電子機器自体が、それぞれ展張させた状態におけるフローテーションバッグの底部に位置するようにして配置してあるので、フローテーションバッグの展張状態では、これらの展張手段及び通信電子機器が重心の役割を果たすことから、通信電子機器を安定させるためのカウンターウェイトも必要でなく、したがって、このビーコン装置を宇宙機に搭載する場合には、カウンターウェイトがなくなって装置全体重量が軽くなる分だけ、ミッションに必要な機器の重量的制約が減ると共に、多くのペイロードを搭載し得ることとなる。
