B=Σ(勾配×距離)
である。
【0029】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle control device including a generator that is driven by a traveling inertia force of a vehicle during deceleration to generate electric power, and more particularly, a control capable of detecting road conditions on which the vehicle travels and using it as vehicle control data. It relates to the device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As is well known, hybrid vehicles have been developed for the purpose of improving fuel efficiency and reducing exhaust gas. This type of hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and an electric motor having a power generation function as a power source. The internal combustion engine travels with an electric motor when the driving efficiency of the internal combustion engine is poor, and the vehicle has a deceleration power. By regenerating running inertia energy as electric power through an electric motor, exhaust gas is reduced and fuel consumption is improved.
[0003]
The power supply to the motor and the accumulation of the generated power are configured to be performed by a battery. However, since there is a limit to the capacity of the battery, it is performed by the motor even though it is preferable to travel by the motor. In some cases, it may be impossible to perform regenerative braking because the battery cannot be charged or because the battery cannot be charged. Therefore, in the invention described in JP-A-8-322107, the required travel energy is obtained using road information obtained from the navigation device, and the generator is controlled accordingly. That is, on a long uphill road, the time for driving the electric motor becomes longer, so there is a possibility that the battery will be over-discharged. On the other hand, on a long downhill road, the charging time for the battery may become longer and overcharge may occur. Therefore, such road information is obtained in advance by the navigation device, and the generator is controlled based on the road information so that overdischarge and overcharge do not occur.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The above-described charging of the battery in the hybrid vehicle is often performed by rotating the electric motor with the traveling inertia force of the vehicle and generating electric power with the electric motor. In that case, a braking force is generated according to the generated energy. Therefore, since the deceleration of the vehicle is changed by performing the regenerative control, the regenerative control is generally performed so as not to cause a sense of incongruity due to the regenerative braking force. Such control is also possible in the device described in the above-mentioned publication. For example, even when charging on a long downhill as described above, a braking force similar to the regenerative braking force during normal traveling is generated. Normally, the power generation efficiency is set as described above.
[0005]
However, since the conditions of the road are usually varied in various ways and the required braking force is not uniform, setting the power generation efficiency constant as described above increases the regenerative braking force to increase the regenerative energy. Despite being able to increase the amount of energy that is not regenerated as electric power, there is a possibility that the effect of improving fuel efficiency is insufficient.
[0006]
The present invention has been made against the background of the above circumstances, and provides a control device capable of improving the regeneration efficiency without deteriorating the riding comfort and running performance of the vehicle and thus improving the fuel consumption. It is the purpose.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problem and Action]
In order to achieve the above object, an invention according to claim 1 is directed to a generator that generates power by receiving driving force from a power transmission system that transmits power to driving wheels during rotation and rotating. The slope of A road detected by the road condition detecting means in the vehicle control device comprising the road condition detecting means for detecting When the descending slope of the vehicle exceeds a predetermined reference value, the previous slope does not exceed the reference value. Generator power generation efficiency Increase A power generation efficiency control means is provided.

The invention of
[0009]
Furthermore, the invention of
[0011]
Therefore, in the invention of claim 1, the power generation efficiency by the generator is the road. The situation of descending slope of It is possible to increase the regenerative braking force because it can be changed accordingly. Down a large slope downhill When traveling, you can increase the power generation efficiency and increase the charging power. One with a small downhill slope When driving on general roads, the power generation efficiency is set so that the regenerative braking force does not become excessive. Set low This prevents the deterioration of ride comfort and drivability.
[0012]
More specifically, the invention of claim 1 In Ming, the power generation efficiency by the generator is increased by detecting the downhill road. Therefore, in the case of a downhill road, the regenerative braking force is increased by increasing the power generation efficiency, which is the same as the state in which the effectiveness of engine braking in a vehicle using only the internal combustion engine as a driving force source is improved. As a result, the braking operation force by the driver on the downhill road is reduced, and the drivability of the vehicle is improved.

This regenerative braking is basically executed at all times during deceleration. This is to improve the fuel consumption as much as possible. In that case, if the regenerative braking force is large and excessive deceleration occurs, the ride comfort and drivability are impaired, and conversely, if the regenerative braking force is reduced, the amount of energy regenerative decreases and the effect of improving fuel consumption decreases. Next, the current road gradient A is obtained (step S2). This may be the current road gradient A by reading the road information of the current location of the vehicle 1 from the navigation device 14 and adopting the road gradient data included in the road information, or the reference acceleration from the throttle opening and the vehicle speed. May be obtained by calculating the gradient A based on the difference between the reference acceleration and the detected actual acceleration, the weight of the vehicle body, and the like.
[0028]
Furthermore, the information regarding the continuation state of the downhill road on which the vehicle 1 travels, that is, the downhill road continuation information is input from the navigation device 14, and the downhill road determination value B is obtained (step S3). Specifically, the product of the gradient A obtained in step S2 and the continuation distance of the downhill road obtained by the navigation device 14 is added over a predetermined section. Ie

If an affirmative determination is made in step S5 because the current position of the vehicle 1 is on a downhill road, whether or not the downhill road determination value B is larger than a predetermined reference value B0, that is, a road with a predetermined or higher slope is compared. It is determined whether or not to continue for a long time (step S6). The reference value B0 may be a constant value, but may be a variable such as a value that changes according to the total weight of the vehicle including the occupant.

Such a large braking torque state is limited to the case where a relatively large downhill road continues as described above, so there is no excessive braking force, and acceleration (power-on) and deceleration (power) OFF) is controlled in a state where there is a low possibility that it will be repeated, and therefore deterioration in ride comfort and drivability is avoided or suppressed. At the same time, since the power generation efficiency is increased, the electric power charged in the

On the other hand, if a negative determination is made in step S5 because the gradient A is greater than or equal to the reference value A0, the routine proceeds to step S8 and normal control is performed. The same applies to a case where a negative determination is made in step S6 because the downhill road determination value B is equal to or less than the reference value B0. Therefore, when driving on a relatively gentle downhill road, if the downhill distance is short, the motor /

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the invention of claim 1, the power generation efficiency by the generator is the road. Set low Therefore, it is possible to prevent deterioration in ride comfort and running performance.

More specifically, in claim 1 According to the invention, since the power generation efficiency by the generator is increased by detecting the downhill road, in the case of the downhill road, the regenerative braking force is increased by increasing the power generation efficiency. This is the same as the state in which the effectiveness of the engine brake in the vehicle using only the driving force source is improved. As a result, the braking operation force by the driver on the downhill road is reduced, and the drivability of the vehicle is improved.
