【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a shaft coupling structure for connecting, for example, a steering main shaft of an automobile to a steering gear shaft. The present invention relates to a shaft coupling structure to be fastened.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A steering shaft used in an automobile vehicle is often connected to a steering gear shaft via an intermediate shaft connected by a universal joint due to limitations such as layout and assembly. In this case, the shaft and the hole are coupled by spline coupling. That is, a male spline is formed in the coupling portion of the steering shaft, and a female spline is formed in the hole of the hub of the corresponding universal joint. By inserting and tightening into the formed bolt hole, the coupling portion of the steering shaft is fixed to the hub of the universal joint.
[0003]
By the way, when such spline coupling is employed, there is a concern that torque transmission failure may occur due to poor assembly. In other words, if the tightening bolt is tightened with the spline being shallowly fitted and the hook is not sufficient, the spline cutting edge will be damaged and the meshing state will not be maintained, and torque may not be transmitted properly. Therefore, it is necessary to inspect the meshing state after the assembly process.
[0004]
In order to avoid the occurrence of such a state and the addition of a separate inspection process as described above, a steering shaft / hub coupling structure disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 4-113334 is known. In this coupling structure, when the bent wire is attached to the tip of the steering shaft and the steering shaft is not inserted into the hub to a sufficient depth, the wire is positioned in the space between the pair of ears. However, when the steering shaft is inserted to a predetermined position in the hub, the position of the wire is retracted from the position where the bolt hole is blocked, and as a result, the tightening bolt is closed. It is possible to insert. That is, the tightening bolt cannot be assembled when the steering shaft is not inserted into the hub to a sufficient depth.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described conventional example, the wire rod is positioned in the space portion between the pair of ear-shaped portions and closes the bolt hole, thereby preventing erroneous assembly and positioning of the steering shaft. In terms of ease of assembly, the wire is assembled by groping so as to match the space between the pair of ear-shaped parts, and the ease of assembly is not necessarily good.
[0006]
In addition, since the wire that is a misassembly prevention member is mounted on the shaft side, it is easy to confirm the presence of the misassembly prevention member from the outside, but a load is applied to the wire from the outside before the assembly. In such a case, there may be a case where the wire is deformed and the shaft cannot be inserted into the hub of the universal joint, or a case where the wire does not function to prevent erroneous assembly. The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and the object of the present invention is to improve the assembling workability, and in the state where the shaft is not inserted into the hub to a sufficient depth, the bolt hole is surely formed. It is an object of the present invention to provide a shaft coupling structure that ensures that the bolt hole is released only after the shaft is closed and the shaft is inserted into the hub to a sufficient depth.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-described problems and achieve the object, the shaft coupling structure of the present invention includes a cylindrical main body portion having an insertion hole therein and a spline formed on the inner periphery of the insertion hole, and the main body portion. A pair of ear-shaped portions formed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion, extending in a vertical direction with respect to the axial direction of the main body portion, and arranged in parallel at a predetermined distance from each other, an insertion hole of the main body portion, and a pair of ear-shaped portions A slit that communicates with the space formed therebetween, a pair of bolt insertion holes that can penetrate the bolts formed in each of the ear-shaped parts, and a spline on the outer periphery for fitting into the insertion hole The formed shaft and an annular elastic body provided at the distal end of the shaft and having an outer diameter larger than the diameter of the insertion hole of the main body, and the shaft is inserted into the insertion hole of the main body Sometimes formed between the pair of ears and between the pair of bolt holes The elastic body protrudes through the slit portion in the middle, and prevents the bolts inserted into the bolt holes formed in the pair of ear-shaped portions until the shaft is inserted to a predetermined position. It is said.
[0008]
Further, a first shaft portion provided at a tip portion of the shaft and having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the shaft, and a tip portion provided at a tip portion of the first shaft portion and having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the shaft. A ring-shaped elastic body having an inner diameter equal to or smaller than the diameter of the second shaft portion is loosely fitted to the first shaft portion. The height in the radial direction is set within a difference between the diameter of the steering shaft and the diameter of the first shaft portion. Furthermore, the cross-sectional area of the radial cut surface of the elastic body is set according to the distance between the pair of ear-shaped portions.
[0009]
[Action]
As described above, according to the shaft coupling structure of the present invention, when the shaft is inserted into the insertion hole of the main body portion, the annular elastic body attached to the tip of the shaft is deformed, and the slit is formed. When the shaft is not inserted to a predetermined position, the bolt is prevented from being inserted into the pair of bolt holes formed in the ear-shaped portion.
[0010]
Further, a first shaft portion provided at a tip portion of the shaft and having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the shaft, and a tip portion provided at a tip portion of the first shaft portion and having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the shaft. A ring-shaped elastic body having an inner diameter equal to or smaller than the diameter of the second shaft portion is loosely fitted to the first shaft portion. By setting the height in the radial direction within the difference between the diameter of the steering shaft and the diameter of the first shaft portion, the loss of the annular elastic body attached to the tip of the shaft during assembly of the shaft is prevented. When the elastic body protrudes into the space portion and the shaft is not inserted to a predetermined position, the insertion of the bolts into the pair of bolt holes formed in the ear-shaped portion is reliably prevented.
[0011]
Furthermore, since the cross-sectional area of the radial cut surface of the elastic body is appropriately set according to the distance between the pair of ear-shaped parts, the elastic body corresponds to the distance between any pair of ear-shaped parts. Is reliably deformed and faces the space portion, so that the insertion of the bolt is reliably prevented.
[0012]

【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the shaft coupling structure of the present invention, when the steering shaft is not inserted into the hub to the predetermined position, the annular elastic body that prevents the fastening bolt from being assembled has the slit portion. Since it protrudes into the space through it, it is possible to reliably prevent erroneous assembly of the steering shaft and the hub with an easy structure, and it can be inserted into the hub without worrying about the direction of the steering shaft. Therefore, workability can be improved.
[0021]
In addition, since an annular elastic body is used, even if an external load is applied to the annular elastic body when the shaft is assembled, it is possible to reliably prevent erroneous assembly with an easy structure without hindering the assembly of the shaft. Can do.
