Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention, in an engine with a turbocharger, an exhaust recirculation system of the turbocharger to a portion of the exhaust gas discharged from the engine is supplied to the engine intake side achieve NO X reduction in the exhaust gas.
[0002]
[Prior art]
One of the methods for purifying exhaust gas from engines such as automobiles is an exhaust gas recirculation (referred to as EGR) method. Such an exhaust gas recirculation system is a method in which a part of exhaust gas is taken out from the exhaust system, returned to the engine intake system, and added to the combustion mixture, whereby an inert gas (H 2 O, H 2 O, N 2 , CO 2, etc.) increase and the combustion temperature decreases, so that the generation of NO x is suppressed. However, when recirculating the very large amount of exhaust gas, the combustion becomes unstable, because the HC level fuel consumption deteriorates increases, exhaust gas recirculation within the stability goals NO X levels and engine are compatible It is necessary to control the amount.
[0003]
An example of the case where the exhaust gas recirculation method is adopted for an engine with a turbocharge is shown in FIG. 6 (Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 1-173445). That is, the turbine 2 in the turbocharger 1 in which the turbine 2 and the compressor 3 are integrated via the bearing casing 4 is connected to the

[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus for a turbocharger according to the present invention is equipped with a turbocharger in which a turbine and a compressor are integrated, and a part of the exhaust gas of the engine is discharged from the compressor. In the exhaust gas recirculation apparatus configured to return to the intake system supplied to the engine by the circulation passage, a chamber is formed in a seal plate wall forming one side surface of the diffuser of the compressor, and the circulation passage is formed in the chamber. And an arc-shaped slit for connecting the chamber and the inner peripheral side of the diffuser to the seal plate, and is generated in the diffuser corresponding to the tongue of the scroll. The center angle of the arc is determined so that the arc-shaped slit extends in the low pressure region. The tongue means the scroll start point.
[0014]
The center angle of the arc-shaped slit is preferably such that the start point and the end point are in the range of 0 to 30 ° on the upstream side of the impeller rotation direction of the tongue portion and 90 to 150 ° on the downstream side.
[0015]
Two arcuate slits may be provided side by side in the radial direction.
[0016]
The arcuate slit may have a chordal shape with a width that is wide at the center and narrows toward both ends.
[0017]
The position of the arcuate slit in the radial direction in the diffuser is preferably in the range of 1.1 to 1.6 times the radius of the impeller.
[0018]
Next, the operation of the present invention will be described.
In general, in an engine with a turbocharger, EGR is impossible in the low-speed and high-load (torque) region of the engine because the supply pressure of the engine exceeds the exhaust pressure. Therefore, as described above, the engine exhaust is returned to the diffuser having a low static pressure through the annular slit. However, even in that case, in an extremely low speed and high load region, there is almost no pressure difference, or conversely, the diffuser side has a slightly higher pressure, and EGR cannot be performed in that region.
[0019]
On the other hand, the flow velocity of the air flowing out from the diffuser to the scroll is not uniform in the circumferential direction, and the static pressure in the diffuser is low in the portion where the flow velocity is fast and the static pressure in the diffuser is high in the portion where the flow velocity is slow. FIG. 8 shows the measurement result of the static pressure distribution in the diffuser. The vertical axis represents the ratio between the static pressure in the diffuser and the static pressure (Pb2) at the scroll outlet, and the horizontal axis represents the angle in the circumferential direction. The solid line shows the pressure ratio of the portion close to the outer periphery of the impeller, and the dotted line shows the pressure ratio of the portion away from the outer periphery of the impeller. Here, Pd1 is the pressure at a position in the diffuser in the radial direction of 1.15 times the radius of the impeller, and Pd2 is the pressure at the same position of 1.63 times. The solid and dotted squares indicate the low flow rate immediately before the surge, the squares indicate the maximum efficiency flow rate (design flow rate), and the circles indicate the measured values at the high flow rate immediately before the choke. The rotational speed of the turbocharger is 100.000 rpm, and the circumferential position of the tongue is 39 °. As can be seen from the figure, the range of 60 ° is low on the upstream side and the downstream side is approximately 35 ° downstream (position of 75 ° on the graph). The solid line is at a lower pressure than the dotted line.
[0020]
In the present invention, the exhaust gas is recirculated to the low pressure region in the diffuser by utilizing the non-uniform pressure in the diffuser due to the influence of the scroll tongue, so this can be realized by the EGR performed by the conventional annular slit. EGR can be performed even in a low-speed / high-load region of the engine that has not been present, and therefore a sufficient amount of EGR can be performed over the entire use range of the engine.
[0021]
