[全体構成]
図1を用いて、本発明が適応されるエンジンの構成について説明する。エンジン一側面には、クランク軸に接続されたフライホイール5が配設されており、該フライホール5と一体的に回動するプーリが配設されている。このプーリには、清水ポンプ4のプーリなどとともに、ベルトが巻架されている。そして、このベルトを介して、清水ポンプ4にエンジン1の駆動力が伝達されるものである。清水ポンプ4が駆動されることにより、エンジン1内の冷却水および排気マニホールド3内の冷却水が循環する構成となっている。

フライホイール5の後方であって、エンジン1の前面には、ギヤケース6が配設されている。ギヤケース6の上部には、ブリーザホース7の一端が接続されている。ブリーザホース7の他端は、エンジン1の上部を被装するボンネット8内に挿入された構成となっている。

次に、図2から図5を用いてギヤケース6の構成について説明する。ギヤケース6は、ギヤケース蓋11およびギヤケースハウジング12により構成されている。ギヤケース6内には、潤滑油ポンプ駆動ギヤ14、クランク軸に接続されたギヤ13などが配設されている。そして、ギヤケース6の上部には接続部15が設けられており、この接続部15にブリーザホース7が接続されている。接続部15はギヤケース6の内側と外側を連通するものである。

【発明の効果】
本発明は、次のような効果を奏するものである。
エンジン(1)のギヤケース(6)部分に、エンジンのミストセパレータを設ける構成において、該ギヤケース(6)は、ギヤケースハウジング(12)とギヤケース蓋(11)により構成し、該ギヤケースハウジング(12)とギヤケース蓋(11)との接合部間にブリーザ室(22)を構成し、該ブリーザ室(22)の接続部(15)と、シリンダヘッド(9)の上部を被装するボンネット(8)内のブリーザ室(31)とを、ブリーザホース(7)により連通し、前記ブリーザ室(22)は、ギヤケース(6)を構成するギヤケースハウジング(12)とギヤケース蓋(11)の上部隔壁、及び、ギヤケースハウジング(12)から突設したリブ(23)と、ギヤケース蓋(11)から突設したリブ(21)により構成し、該ギヤケースハウジング(12)側のリブ(23)と、ギヤケース蓋(11)側のリブ(21)の先端間に間隙を構成し、前記ブリーザ室(22)に導入される潤滑油のミストが、前記リブ(21・23)の間隙を通過することにより潤滑油と空気に分離され、分離された潤滑油が、前記リブ(21・23)の間隙より落下するので、ギヤケース6を構成する部材に設けられたリブにより、ギヤケース6内にブリーザ室22を設けることにより、簡便な構成でブリーザ室22を構成できる。
すなわち、ギヤケース蓋11とギヤケースハウジング12を組み立てることにより、ブリーザ室22を容易に構成できるものである。
そして、ギヤケース蓋11のリブ21とギヤケースハウジング12のリブ23との間に間隙を設けることにより、ミスト切り付きブリーザ室とすることができるものである。
また、ギヤケースとブリーザが一体構造となるので、ギヤケースの余分なスペースを利用してブリーザ室を構成できる。このため、コンパクトな構成とすることが可能となる。
