本発明は、放送コンテンツ提供装置および放送コンテンツ提供方法に係り、特に、テレビ放送やラジオ放送などで放送される広告等の放送コンテンツおよび録画コマンドを提供する放送コンテンツ提供装置および放送コンテンツ提供方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、テレビ放送の視聴者がテレビ番組等の放送コンテンツの予約録画を行うためには、ビデオテープレコーダ（ＶＴＲ）の録画機能を用いて所望の放送コンテンツまたは放送時間および放送チャネルを予め決定している。この録画予約操作によって、ＶＴＲは、ユーザによって予約された放送コンテンツまたは放送時間および放送チャネルを記憶し、予約済み放送コンテンツを受信したとき、または予約された放送時間となったときに録画を開始する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このように、放送コンテンツの録画予約はＶＴＲの操作によって行われ、録画予約に関する情報はＶＴＲが記憶／管理し、録画を開始するタイミングもＶＴＲが判断しているといったように、従来は放送コンテンツの録画予約に関する機能を全てＶＴＲに依存していた。さらに、ＶＴＲは通常据え置いて利用されるものであるため、ユーザが録画予約を忘れて外出してしまった場合など、ユーザは放送コンテンツの録画をあきらめるか、わざわざＶＴＲの設置場所に戻らなければならなかった。

また、従来では、視聴者がテレビコマーシャル等の広告の視聴を希望しても、どの広告がどの時間帯に放送されるのかに関する情報が視聴者に知らされることは一般にはないため、視聴者は所望の広告が放送されるまでテレビ放送を視聴しながらじっと待たなければならなかった。さらに、視聴者が広告の視聴だけでなく録画も希望している場合には、所望の広告が運良く放送されても、視聴者によっては録画を開始するタイミングが遅れてしまったりするため、視聴者が希望する広告を容易かつ完全に録画可能な装置または方法が求められていた。

本発明は、上記従来の事情および要望に鑑みてなされたものであって、放送コンテンツの録画予約に関する機能をＶＴＲ等の録画機に完全に依存せず、外部からの指示によって放送コンテンツを録画可能な放送コンテンツ提供装置および放送コンテンツ提供方法を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するために、本発明に係る放送コンテンツ提供装置は、提供される放送コンテンツのうち、少なくとも一部の放送コンテンツの録画を指示する録画コマンドを伝送する放送コンテンツ提供装置であって、放送コンテンツの録画を指示する録画指示情報に応じて、前記録画コマンドを伝送するものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の放送コンテンツ提供装置、放送コンテンツ提供方法および記録媒体、並びに放送システムの実施の形態について、図面を参照して詳細に説明する。なお、以下説明する実施形態では、本発明に係る放送システムおよび放送コンテンツ提供方法について詳述するが、本発明に係る放送コンテンツ提供装置は以下に説明する放送システムに含まれるものである。また、本発明に係る記録媒体については、放送コンテンツ提供方法を実行させるためのプログラムを記録した記録媒体であることから、その説明は以下の放送コンテンツ提供方法の説明に含まれるものである。

また、本実施形態では、放送コンテンツを特にテレビコマーシャル等の広告コンテンツ（以下、単に広告と称す）として説明するが、当該放送システムおよび放送コンテンツ提供方法は、広告だけに限らずニュース等の放送番組にも適用可能である。このとき、本実施形態の説明に出現する「広告」という言葉を「放送番組」という言葉に置き換える。また、本明細書中に用いられている「録画」という言葉は、画像だけではなく音声の記録も含んだ意味の言葉として用いられている。

図１は、本発明の一実施形態に係る放送システムを示すブロック構成図である。同図において、本実施形態の放送システム１００は、送受信部１１１、表示部１１３および広告選択部１１５を有するモバイル端末１１０と、広告データベース１２１、広告メニュー送信部１２３、サーバ受信部１２５、提供広告決定部１２７、ユーザ情報データベース１２９、ユーザ評価データベース１３１、広告提供部１３３および広告提供履歴データベース１３５を有し、広告等の放送コンテンツを提供するコンテンツサーバ１２０と、コンテンツ受信部１４１、コンテンツ表示部１４３およびコンテンツ録画部１４５を有し、デジタルテレビ放送を受信および表示するデジタルテレビ（以下、ＤＴＶ端末と称す）１４０とを備えて構成されている。

なお、モバイル端末１１０は、携帯電話機やＰＤＡ（携帯情報端末）、ノートパソコン等の持ち運び可能な移動端末であり、コンテンツサーバ１２０と無線または有線の通信ネットワーク（図示せず）によって接続されている。また、コンテンツサーバ１２０は、ＤＴＶ端末１４０とも通信ネットワークによって接続されている。また、コンテンツサーバ１２０からＤＴＶ端末１４０に提供される広告は、地上波デジタル放送によって提供されるものであっても、デジタル衛星放送によって提供されるものであっても良く、後述するように、場合によっては通信ネットワークを介した通信によって提供される。

以下に、モバイル端末１１０の各構成要素について説明する。まず、送受信部１１１は、コンテンツサーバ１２０とデータ信号の送受信を行うものであり、コンテンツサーバ１２０から広告ＩＤや広告内容等の情報を含む広告メニューを受信し、コンテンツサーバ１２０に広告ＩＤ、録画命令、モード番号およびユーザＩＤ等の情報を送信する。また、表示部１１３は、コンテンツサーバ１２０から送信された広告メニューを画面に表示するものである。さらに、広告選択部１１５は、表示部１１３に表示された広告メニューを用いて録画したい広告を選択するものである。なお、モバイル端末１１０は、コンテンツサーバ１２０に対して広告メニューの送信を要求することによって、広告メニューを得ることができる。

本実施形態においては、コンテンツサーバ１２０がＤＴＶ端末１４０に提供する広告が、後述する３つのモード（実施例）によってそれぞれ異なる。したがって、モバイル端末１１０は、ユーザに広告選択部１１５を用いたモードの選択を促しても良いし、デフォルトで所定のモードを行うようにしても良いが、どちらにしても、モバイル端末１１０はコンテンツサーバ１２０にモード番号を送信する。

次に、コンテンツサーバ１２０の各構成要素について説明する。まず、広告データベース１２１は、放送される可能性のある広告そのもののデータ（以下、広告データと称す）および広告ＩＤや広告内容、広告主（スポンサー）、製品またはサービスの種類等の付加情報を保持するデータベースであり、広告データと付加情報とは構造化されている。また、広告メニュー送信部１２３は、広告データベース１２１に保持されている付加情報を用いて広告ＩＤや広告内容等の情報を含む広告メニューを作成し、広告メニューを要求したモバイル端末１１０に送信するものである。

また、サーバ受信部１２５は、モバイル端末１１０から送信された広告ＩＤ、録画命令、モード番号およびユーザＩＤ等の情報を受信するものである。また、提供広告決定部１２７は、サーバ受信部１２５が受信した情報を参照して、ユーザによって指定されたモードの方式でＤＴＶ端末１４０に提供する広告を決定するものである。なお、提供広告決定部１２７は、各モードによって使用される構成要素および動作が異なるが、モード毎の構成および動作の説明は実施例として後述する。

ユーザ情報データベース１２９は、当該放送システム１００を利用するユーザのユーザＩＤ、世代、性別、趣味、職種等に関する個人情報を保持するデータベースであり、モバイル端末１１０から送信されたユーザＩＤから広告を提供するＤＴＶ端末１４０を特定するときなどに用いられる。また、ユーザ評価データベース１３１は、テレビ放送の視聴者による広告に対する評価を分析して得られた結果を保持するデータベースであり、例えば、３０代男性が高く評価する広告などの分析データが保持されている。

また、広告提供部１３３は、広告データ送信部１３３ｂおよび録画コマンド送信部１３３ａを有して構成されている。広告データ送信部１３３ｂは、提供広告決定部１２７で決定された広告の広告データを、テレビ放送で（Ｂ）または通信ネットワーク（Ｃ）を介してＤＴＶ端末１４０に送信するものである。また、録画コマンド送信部１３３ａは、広告の放送スケジュールを指定すると共に、録画する広告の広告ＩＤ等を付加情報として備えた広告の録画を指示する録画コマンドを、テレビ放送でまたは通信ネットワークを介してＤＴＶ端末１４０に送信するものである。

通常、広告データはテレビ放送としてＤＴＶ端末１４０に提供されるが、録画コマンドはインターネット等の通信ネットワークを介してＤＴＶ端末１４０に送信される。なお、録画コマンドは、提供広告決定部１２７で決定された広告の提供に先立ってＤＴＶ端末１４０に送信されるものであり、一広告に対する録画命令であっても、複数の広告に対する録画命令であっても良い。また、録画コマンド送信部１３３ｂは、テレビ放送で録画コマンドをＤＴＶ端末１４０に送信しても良い。

また、ある時間において提供する広告の提供先（ＤＴＶ端末）が少ない場合、広告提供部１３３は、広告データをテレビ放送としてではなく通信としてＤＴＶ端末１４０に送信する。これは、広告主（スポンサー）が希望する広告を提供するときも同様であり、所望のユーザグループに特定の広告を提供する場合、このユーザグループに属するユーザ数が多いときはテレビ放送として広告を提供し、ユーザ数が少ないときは通信で広告を提供する。

さらに、広告提供履歴データベース１３５は、広告提供部１３３からＤＴＶ端末１４０に提供された広告の履歴を保持するデータベースであり、広告提供部１３３から広告が提供される度に更新される。但し、広告提供履歴データベース１３５の記憶容量は限られているため、最も古いデータから削除していく先入れ先出し（ＦＩＦＯ）方式でデータを更新していく。

次に、ＤＴＶ端末１４０の各構成要素について説明する。まず、コンテンツ受信部１４１は、広告データ受信部１４１ｂおよび録画コマンド受信部１４１ａを有して構成されている。広告データ受信部１４１ｂは、コンテンツサーバ１２０の広告データ送信部１３３ｂから放送または通信で送信された広告データを受信するものである。また、録画コマンド受信部１４１ａは、コンテンツサーバ１２０の録画コマンド送信部１３３ａから放送または通信で送信された録画コマンドを受信するものである。また、コンテンツ表示部１４３は、コンテンツ受信部１４１で受信した放送コンテンツを表示するものである。さらに、コンテンツ録画部１４５は、コンテンツ受信部１４１で受信した録画コマンドが指示する広告を含む放送コンテンツを録画するものである。

なお、コンテンツ受信部１４１やコンテンツ録画部１４５は、必ずしもＤＴＶ端末１４０内部に構成する必要はなく、他の装置として別途構成しても良い。また、モバイル端末１１０が有する広告選択部１１５を、ＤＴＶ端末１４０が備えていても良い。このとき、ユーザは、モバイル端末１１０およびＤＴＶ端末１４０のどちらからでも録画予約することができる。

次に、３つの異なるモードに応じた提供広告決定部１２７の構成および動作について説明する。なお、第１モードの場合を第１実施例とし、第２モードの場合を第２実施例とし、第３モードの場合を第３実施例とする。また、第３実施例の場合、ユーザは、モバイル端末１１０からコンテンツサーバ１２０に送信される情報として広告ＩＤを送信する必要はない。

図２は、第１実施例に係る提供広告決定部の内部構成および周辺を示すブロック図である。同図に示すように、第１実施例の提供広告決定部１２７ａは、双方向協調フィルタリング部１５１ａを備えて構成されている。双方向協調フィルタリング部１５１ａは、モバイル端末１１０からコンテンツサーバ１２０に送信された広告ＩＤの広告データを、広告データベース１２１からフィルタリングして読み出すものである。双方向協調フィルタリング部１５１ａで読み出された広告データは広告提供部１３３に送られ、モバイル端末１１０から送信されたユーザＩＤに対応するＤＴＶ端末１４０に向けて提供される。

図３は、第２実施例に係る提供広告決定部の内部構成および周辺を示すブロック図である。同図に示すように、第２実施例の提供広告決定部１２７ｂは、広告グループ判定部１５３と双方向協調フィルタリング部１５１ｂとを備えて構成されている。広告グループ判定部１５３は、広告データベース１２１に保持されている広告に対して共通性のあるものをグループ化し、モバイル端末１１０からコンテンツサーバ１２０に送信された広告ＩＤを参照して、この広告ＩＤに対応する広告がどの広告グループに属するかを判定するものである。なお、広告グループは、広告主（スポンサー）、製品またはサービスの種類等によって分類されたものである。
