Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a rubber composition that is a raw material for rubber products that are less prone to cracking and discoloration, and a tire using the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, it is known that cracks and the like occur in rubber products due to the action of atmospheric ozone and sunlight. In order to solve this problem, a rubber product is produced by vulcanizing a rubber composition containing a wax (Japanese Patent Laid-Open Nos. 63-145346, 63-162738, 1-230648, JP-A-4-202474 and JP-A-5-43744).
[0003]
The reason why the generation of cracks is prevented by the wax is that the wax blooms out of the rubber product and a thin film of wax is formed on the surface of the rubber product, and this thin film blocks the rubber product from ozone. It is thought to be because.
Needless to say, it is required to improve the appearance of rubber products such as tires. In rubber products containing wax, the occurrence of cracks is suppressed, but the surface of the rubber product turns white due to the thin film of the wax, and the anti-aging agent oozes along with the wax and the surface of the rubber product turns brown. There is a problem of discoloration. If the amount of the wax is reduced, the problem of discoloration is improved, but cracks are likely to occur.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Therefore, the problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a rubber composition that solves the problems of crack generation and discoloration all at once, and a tire using the rubber composition.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies to solve the above problems, the present inventors have confirmed that the above problems can be solved at once by including a wax having specific physical properties in the rubber composition. Reached.
The rubber composition according to the present invention is a rubber composition comprising at least one rubber component selected from the group consisting of natural rubber, isoprene rubber, butadiene rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber, and a wax.
The wax is a chain saturated hydrocarbon composed of normal paraffin and isoparaffin, the ratio of the normal paraffin in the chain saturated hydrocarbon is 75 to 80 % by weight, and the carbon number distribution of the chain saturated hydrocarbon The ratio of the chain saturated hydrocarbon having 45 or more carbon atoms to the whole chain saturated hydrocarbon is 3 to 10% by weight.
Amount of the wax is in the 1 to 2.5 parts by weight relative to the rubber component 100 parts by weight, and wherein the.
[0006]
In the tire according to the present invention, at least the surface layer of the tread portion and / or the sidewall portion is obtained from the rubber composition.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Rubber composition The rubber composition according to the present invention is a composition comprising a rubber component and a wax as essential components. Hereinafter, after explaining the rubber component and the wax, the constitution of the rubber composition will be explained.
[Rubber component]
The rubber component used in the present invention is a main component of a rubber product and imparts elasticity to the rubber product. Examples of the rubber component include at least one selected from the group consisting of natural rubber (NR), isoprene rubber (IR), butadiene rubber (BR), and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR).
[0008]
The rubber component may include a rubber component other than the rubber components exemplified above. Examples of other rubber components include isoprene-isobutylene rubber (IIR), halogenated butyl rubber (X-IIR), and ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM).
〔wax〕
The wax used in the present invention blooms from a rubber product to form a thin film of wax on the surface. The thin film blocks ozone and the rubber product, thereby suppressing the occurrence of cracks on the surface of the rubber product.
[0009]
Wax is a chain saturated hydrocarbon, and this chain saturated hydrocarbon consists of normal paraffin and isoparaffin.
Normal paraffin has a structure in which a plurality of methylene groups are linked and both ends of this chain are blocked with methyl groups, that is, has a straight structure, and is also called linear paraffin or n-alkane. It is. Since normal paraffin is straight, it is a component that is easy to move in a rubber product and blooms on the surface as compared with isoparaffin described later, and is a main component that suppresses the occurrence of cracks.
[0010]
Isoparaffin is a chain-type saturated hydrocarbon other than normal paraffin, and is also called isoalkane, and is a saturated hydrocarbon having a structure having a side chain (a structure in which a carbon skeleton is branched). Since isoparaffin has a branched structure, it is a component that is less likely to move in a rubber product and bloom on the surface than normal paraffin. For this reason, isoparaffin was previously thought to be a component that does not contribute to the suppression of cracking. However, according to the inventor's understanding, if isoparaffin is used in combination, this isoparaffin We believe that the thin film can be strengthened. That is, since the thin film on the surface of the rubber product is formed by normal paraffin bloom, there are many gaps and it is not strong in strength. In this case, when isoparaffin is used in combination, this isoparaffin blooms in association with normal paraffin, and the branched chains of isoparaffin are entangled with the normal paraffin chains, thereby filling the gap and strengthening the wax thin film. It is considered to be an auxiliary component that reliably suppresses the occurrence of cracks.
[0011]
The proportion of normal paraffin in the chain saturated hydrocarbon is 75 to 85% by weight, preferably 80 to 85% by weight. When the ratio of normal paraffin is less than 75% by weight, the ratio of isoparaffin contained in the chain saturated hydrocarbon increases, and the wax is less likely to bloom on the surface of the rubber product, and cracks are likely to occur. On the other hand, when the proportion of normal paraffin exceeds 85% by weight, the proportion of isoparaffin contained in the chain saturated hydrocarbon is reduced, and a large amount of bloom occurs on the surface of the rubber product, and discoloration easily occurs. On the contrary, it becomes easy to crack.
[0012]
The peak value of the carbon number distribution of the chain saturated hydrocarbon is in the range of 30 to 35, preferably in the range of 30 to 33. When the peak value of the carbon number distribution is less than 30, it tends to bloom on the surface of the rubber product, easily discolors, and easily cracks at high temperatures. On the other hand, when the peak value of the carbon number distribution exceeds 35, it becomes difficult to move in the rubber product, so that it is difficult to bloom on the surface of the rubber product, and cracks are likely to occur. . The high temperature here is a temperature of 40 ° C. or higher, and the low temperature is a temperature of 0 ° C. or lower.
[0013]
By including saturated hydrocarbons having 45 or more carbon atoms, the chain saturated hydrocarbons are less likely to bloom on the surface of the rubber product and can prevent discoloration. The ratio of saturated hydrocarbons having 45 or more carbon atoms to the whole chain saturated hydrocarbons is 3 to 10% by weight, preferably 5 to 10% by weight. If the proportion of saturated hydrocarbons having 45 or more carbon atoms is less than 3% by weight, the wax will bloom too much on the surface of the rubber product, and discoloration will easily occur. On the other hand, if the proportion of saturated hydrocarbons having 45 or more carbon atoms exceeds 10% by weight, the wax is excessively suppressed from blooming on the surface of the rubber product, and cracks are likely to occur.
(Rubber composition)
The rubber composition according to the present invention is a composition containing a rubber component and a wax.
[0014]
About the compounding ratio of each said component contained in the rubber composition of this invention, it exists in the range of 1-2.5 weight part of wax with respect to 100 weight part of rubber components, and exists in the range of 1-2 weight part. It is preferable that it is within the range of 1.5 to 2 parts by weight. When the blending ratio of the wax is less than 1 part by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the rubber component, the absolute amount of wax blooming on the surface of the rubber product is reduced, and cracks are likely to occur. On the other hand, when the compounding ratio of the wax exceeds 2.5 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the rubber component, the wax is too bloomed on the surface of the rubber product and easily discolors.
[0015]
The rubber composition of the present invention can be prepared, for example, by using a paraffinic, naphthenic, aromatic or other mineral oil softener, dioctyl phthalate (DOP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), dioctyl sepacate (DOS). ), Plasticizers such as dioctyl adipate (DOA); vulcanization aids such as zinc oxide and stearic acid; mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT), benzothiazyl disulfide (MBTS), N-tert-butyl-2-benzothiazoli Vulcanization accelerators such as thulazole compounds such as rusulfenamide, (TBBS), N-cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazylsulfenamide (CBS), and guanidine compounds such as diphenylguanidine (DPG); foaming agents; aging Additives such as inhibitors can be blended. The mixing ratio of these additives is not particularly limited.
[0016]
As a method for producing the rubber composition, a known method can be employed. For example, when the above components are kneaded at 120 to 150 ° C. for 5 to 10 minutes using a rubber kneading apparatus such as an open roll or a Banbury mixer. There is a way to say.
Tire The tire according to the present invention is a tire in which at least the surface layer of the tread portion and / or the sidewall portion is obtained from the rubber composition.
[0017]
FIG. 1 shows a cross section of a tire according to the present invention. In the tire,
[0018]
As can be seen from the above description, the
[0019]
The tire of the present invention is obtained by vulcanizing a raw tire. At the raw tire stage, at least the surface layer of the tread portion and / or the sidewall portion is made of the rubber composition. When this raw tire is put into a mold vulcanizer and vulcanized, for example, at 140 to 180 ° C. for 10 to 15 minutes, a tire is obtained.
[0020]
