[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 11-75302 (FIG. 3)
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in such an automobile, there is a case where it is not appropriate to stop the internal combustion engine that is performed while traveling in the EV mode in accordance with a driver's instruction. For example, when it is necessary to operate a device that uses the heat of the internal combustion engine, if the heat source cannot be secured by not starting the internal combustion engine or if quick power output is required, the internal combustion engine (cooling medium) For example, when the temperature is too low, the startability is lowered and it is difficult to quickly output power from the internal combustion engine. In particular, in the former example, when it becomes necessary to operate the above-mentioned equipment in order to ensure the safety of the passenger compartment, the heat source is insufficient because the heat from the internal combustion engine cannot be used. It will be limited, and there may be a case where safety in the passenger compartment cannot be secured promptly.
[0005]
The vehicle according to the present invention is a vehicle that can be driven only by the power from the electric motor by stopping the internal combustion engine when the electric driving mode is selected by the driver. The purpose is to fully demonstrate the functions of the equipment to be secured.
[0006]
[Means for solving the problems and their functions and effects]
The automobile of the present invention has taken the following means in order to achieve the above-mentioned object.
[0007]
The first automobile of the present invention is
An automobile comprising an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, wherein when the electric operation mode is selected by a driver, the internal combustion engine is stopped and the vehicle can run only with power from the electric motor,
An energy utilization device for ensuring safety in the passenger compartment using the energy from the internal combustion engine;
Starting means for starting the internal combustion engine;
When the operation of the energy utilization device is requested while the vehicle is running only with the power from the motor by the selection of the electric operation mode by the driver, regardless of the selection of the electric operation mode by the driver A gist of the invention is that it comprises start control means for controlling the start means so as to start the internal combustion engine.
[0008]
In the first automobile of the present invention, the internal combustion engine is stopped by the selection of the electric operation mode by the driver, and the vehicle is traveling with only the power from the electric motor to use the energy from the internal combustion engine to When the operation of the energy utilization device for ensuring safety is requested, the internal combustion engine is started regardless of the selection of the electric operation mode by the driver. Therefore, it is possible to more surely secure the energy necessary for the function of the energy utilization device regardless of the selection of the electric driving mode by the driver for driving the automobile. As a result, safety in the passenger compartment can be ensured more reliably.
