Description
【0001】
【0051】
Ia=di/dt=Vin/L
【0052】
Ib=di/dt=(Vo−Vin)/L
【0053】
Ia*Ton=Ib*Toff
Vin*Ton=(Vo−Vin)*Toff
【0054】
Ton={(25−10)/10}*(1−Ton)
Ton=0.6=60%
【0098】
Pd=(ダイオードの順方向電圧)*(電流)
Pm=(電流)2 *(第2スイッチのON抵抗)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electric power steering device installed in an automobile vehicle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The electric power steering device generates an appropriate steering assist force by driving a power assist motor according to a steering torque and a vehicle speed applied to a steering shaft through a handle. The power assist motor is controlled by an in-vehicle computer (hereinafter referred to as “ECU”). Specifically, it is performed by controlling the assist current supplied to the power assist motor based on the steering torque signal and the vehicle speed signal.
[0003]
Further, power is supplied to the power assist motor from a battery or a charging generator via the ECU. When power is supplied, an input voltage input from a battery or a charging generator is boosted by a booster circuit in the ECU and applied to the power assist motor. This is due to various reasons such as quick response during sudden turning during high-speed traveling. Further, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-127351 describes that the power assist motor can be downsized with a small current as a reason for using the booster circuit.
[0004]
However, when boosting the input voltage, the inductors and switching elements used in the booster circuit may generate heat and cause circuit failure.
[0005]
To solve this problem, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 8-127351 monitors the temperature of an element used in a booster circuit, and lowers the output voltage to be boosted when the temperature exceeds a predetermined value. It is described that the above is prevented.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, if the output voltage is lowered when the temperature of the element being used exceeds a predetermined value, the power temporarily supplied to the motor becomes very small. This greatly affects the steering assist force. Therefore, it is desired to always apply an appropriate output voltage without lowering the output voltage.
[0007]
In addition, when the electric motor requires a larger torque, a large current flows through the booster circuit, which increases the size of the booster circuit. Specifically, since a large current flows, heat generation of the element or the like increases, and an inductor or a switching element having a size that can withstand the heat generation must be used.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and always supplies an appropriate output voltage to an electric motor by appropriately raising the pressure by judging a situation in which the element may generate heat in advance. It is another object of the present invention to provide an electric power steering device that can reduce the size of the booster circuit.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Accordingly, the present inventor has intensively studied to solve this problem, and as a result of repeated trial and error, the frequency for controlling the booster circuit is changed in accordance with the steering state, for example, the torque command value to the motor or the q-axis assist current. As a result, it was conceived that heat generation of the elements and the like can be suppressed, and the present invention has been completed.
[0010]
That is, the motor control means of the electric power steering apparatus of the present invention is characterized by having a booster circuit, a frequency signal setting means, and a booster circuit control means.
[0011]
Here, the booster circuit is a circuit that converts an input voltage input from a power supply source such as a battery or a charging generator into a boosted output voltage and applies the output voltage to the power assist motor. Specifically, the booster circuit includes an inductor, a boosting switch, and a diode. The energy is repeatedly accumulated and released in the inductor by the ON / OFF operation of the boosting switch, and the voltage can be boosted by generating a high voltage when discharging to the cathode side of the diode. The frequency signal setting means sets a frequency signal that sets the ON / OFF operation frequency of the current applied to the inductor to a frequency corresponding to the steering state, and does not enter the characteristic saturation region of the inductor. Setting means for setting a frequency signal of a frequency. The booster circuit control means is a control means for controlling the booster circuit based on the frequency signal. Specifically, it is means for turning ON / OFF the boosting switch of the boosting circuit based on the frequency signal.
[0012]
Thereby, since a frequency can be changed according to a steering state, the heat_generation | fever of an inductor can be suppressed. In this case, since the output voltage is not lowered, an appropriate steering assist force can be obtained and operability can be maintained. Further, since the heat generation of the inductor can be suppressed, the inductor can be reduced in size.
[0013]
Here, the reason why the heat generation of the inductor can be suppressed by changing the frequency will be specifically described with reference to FIGS. 4, 10, and 11 as an example.
[0014]
FIG. 4 shows changes in the current IL flowing through the inductor when the input voltage is boosted, that is, when the boosting switch is turned ON / OFF. As shown in FIG. 4, the current flowing through the inductor increases during the ON operation (Ton) of the boosting switch, that is, while energy is being accumulated. On the other hand, during the OFF operation (Toff) of the boosting switch, that is, while energy is being released, the current flowing through the inductor decreases. FIG. 10 shows a typical example of the DC superposition characteristics of the inductor, which is the relationship of the inductance L to the current flowing through the inductor. As shown in FIG. 10, there is a region where the inductance L decreases when the current value exceeds a certain value. This region is called a characteristic saturation region.
[0015]
FIG. 11 shows the current flowing through the inductor by the solid line a when the frequency of the ON / OFF operation of the boosting switch is 20 kHz (cycle = 50 μs) and the broken line b when the frequency is 40 kHz (cycle = 25 μs). Here, the ON operation of the boosting switch when the frequency is 20 kHz is T1on, the OFF operation is T1off, the ON operation of the boosting switch when the frequency is 40 kHz is T2on, and the OFF operation is T2off.
[0016]
First, when the frequency is 20 kHz, the current flowing through the inductor increases during the ON operation (T1 on) of the boosting switch and reaches the characteristic saturation region, so that the inductance L decreases. As a result, the current flowing through the inductor further increases, causing the inductor to generate heat. When the frequency is 40 kHz, since the current flowing through the inductor does not reach the characteristic saturation region, the heat generation of the inductor can be suppressed. Thus, the heat generation of the inductor can be suppressed by increasing the frequency.
[0017]
This frequency signal may be set based on the motor torque command value. Here, the motor torque command value is a torque command value required by the power assist motor based on the steering torque signal and the vehicle speed signal. When this motor torque command value is large, a large current flows through the inductor of the booster circuit, which may reach the characteristic saturation region.
[0018]
Therefore, when the motor torque command value is large, the frequency is set high, and the heat generation of the inductor can be reliably suppressed. As a result, since the output voltage is not lowered, an appropriate steering assist force can be obtained and operability can be maintained. Further, since the heat generation of the inductor can be suppressed, the inductor can be reduced in size.
[0019]
The frequency signal may be set based on the q-axis assist current. In this case, the motor control means, so-called ECU, needs to have assist current detection means and q-axis assist current calculation means.
[0020]
Here, the assist current detecting means is a detecting means for detecting an assist current supplied to the power assist motor. The q-axis assist current calculation means is a calculation means for calculating the q-axis assist current based on the assist current. The q-axis assist current is one of equivalent currents when a three-phase assist current is converted into two phases (q-axis and d-axis). When the q-axis assist current is large, a large current may flow through the inductor of the booster circuit, and the characteristic saturation region may be reached.
[0021]
Therefore, since the frequency can be increased when the q-axis assist current is large, the heat generation of the inductor can be reliably suppressed. As a result, since the output voltage is not lowered, an appropriate steering assist force can be obtained and operability can be maintained. Further, since the heat generation of the inductor can be suppressed, the inductor can be reduced in size.
[0022]
The frequency signal may be set based on the temperature of the inductor. In this case, the motor control means, so-called ECU, needs to have inductor temperature monitoring means. Here, the inductor temperature monitoring means is temperature monitoring means for monitoring the temperature of the inductor used in the booster circuit.
[0023]
Therefore, since the frequency can be changed based on the temperature of the inductor which is the cause of heat generation, heat generation can be suppressed without lowering the voltage. In addition, the inductor can be reduced in size.
[0024]
The frequency signal may be set based on the temperature of the element. In this case, the motor control means, so-called ECU, needs to have element temperature monitoring means. Here, the element temperature monitoring means is temperature monitoring means for monitoring the temperature of the element used in the booster circuit. The elements include a step-up switch and a diode, and a step-down switch described later.
[0025]
Therefore, since the frequency can be changed based on the temperature of the element that causes heat generation, heat generation can be suppressed without lowering the voltage. And failure due to heat generation can be prevented.
[0026]
The frequency signal may be set to a value other than the audible frequency. Thereby, noise can be prevented.

[0058]
In the present embodiment, the target boost voltage Vt is set based on the motor torque command value Ts, but may be set based on the q-axis assist current Iqf. The target boost voltage Vt at that time is shown in FIG. The larger the q-axis assist current Iqf is, the smaller the target boost voltage Vt is set. When the q-axis assist current Iqf is large, a large current may flow through the step-up / down

Note that the correspondence of the target boost voltage Vt based on the motor torque command value Ts or the q-axis assist current Iqf shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 can be further subdivided, or the maps can be interpolated. Thereby, more comfortable steering performance can be realized.

Further, when the target boost voltage Vt is changed and the rate of change becomes a predetermined value or more, it is preferable to slow down the responsiveness when boosting by software or gradually change the boost by hardware. . By doing so, the steering assist force is not changed suddenly, and the steering wheel can be comfortably steered without a sense of incongruity.

The input voltage Vin detected by the input voltage detection circuit 4 is read (step S1). On the other hand, an electric motor torque command value Ts is calculated based on the steering torque signal and the vehicle speed signal (step S2). Then, the q-axis assist current Iqf, which is one of the currents converted into the two-phase current by the two-phase conversion unit (dq conversion unit) 608 based on the output signal of the assist
[0071]
Subsequently, the output voltage Vo and the target boosted voltage Vt are compared. If they match, the processing is terminated and the current boosted state is maintained (step S7: Y). However, if the target boost voltage is changed, that is, if the target boost voltage is changed, the processing differs depending on whether the changed target boost voltage Vt is larger or smaller than the output voltage Vo, and the comparison is performed (step 8). When the changed target boost voltage Vt is higher than the output voltage Vo (step S8: Y), the currently commanded boost duty value Tc is decreased by a predetermined value (step S10). On the other hand, when the changed target boost voltage Vt is smaller than the output voltage Vo (step S8: N), the boost duty value Tc is increased by a predetermined value (step S9). Then, the changed boosting duty value Tc is compared with the calculated maximum duty value Tmax, and if they match, the process ends, and the boosting duty value Tc is boosted (step S11). If they do not match, it is compared whether the output voltage Vo and the target boost voltage Vt match. If they match, the processing is also terminated in this case, and the voltage is boosted based on the target boost voltage Vt (step S12). However, if they do not match, the process returns to step S8, and the boosting duty value changing process is performed.
