Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a hydraulic shock absorber used in a suspension device for motorcycles, automobiles, and the like, and more particularly to prevent gas from being mixed into hydraulic oil in a gas-liquid mixed type single cylinder hydraulic shock absorber. It is.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as means for preventing gas from being mixed into hydraulic oil in a hydraulic shock absorber, it has been described in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 52-113474, published on September 22, 1977. Something like that is known.
[0003]
That is, this is a double-cylinder hydraulic shock absorber of a type different from that of the present invention, in which a ring-shaped floating body is suspended on the hydraulic oil surface of the oil storage chamber between the cylinder and the outer shell, The floating oil separates the working oil from the gas above and prevents the gas from entering the working oil.
[0004]
As a result, with such a double cylinder type hydraulic shock absorber, the amount corresponding to the piston rod infiltration volume is small only during the compression operation where the damping force generated is lower than the damping force during the extension operation. The hydraulic oil is only pushed out into the oil storage chamber.
[0005]
Therefore, gas mixture into the hydraulic oil can be prevented also by the gas mixture prevention means as described above.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in a gas-liquid mixed type single cylinder hydraulic shock absorber that does not have a moving wall that divides the working oil chamber and the gas chamber targeted by the present invention, in order to stably secure the gas tightness Generally, the piston rod is used in an inverted state with the downward direction.
[0007]
Therefore, the gas chamber is necessarily provided above the upper hydraulic oil chamber on the side opposite to the piston rod.
[0008]
Therefore, during the extension operation, a large amount of hydraulic oil corresponding to the product of the sectional area and the extension stroke of the lower hydraulic oil chamber becomes a jet flow while being throttled by the piston damping valve from the lower hydraulic oil chamber. It is pushed out.
[0009]
As a result, even if the above-described gas mixing prevention means is applied to such a gas-liquid mixed type single cylinder hydraulic shock absorber, even if a disk-like floating body is floated on the hydraulic oil surface of the upper hydraulic oil chamber, The floating body cannot effectively prevent gas from being mixed into the hydraulic oil immediately.
[0010]
In this case, in this case, when the hydraulic oil pushed into the upper hydraulic oil chamber collides as a jet because the floating body is not a ring but a disk shape, the floating body floats up This is because it not only lifts but also tilts, and as a result, a gap is formed between the inner wall surface of the cylinder and the jet cannot be shielded, and gas is entrained.
[0011]
Of course, in order to prevent the floating body from tilting, it is only necessary to increase the thickness of the floating body and bring it closer to the specific gravity of the hydraulic oil. However, the cylinder required to allow the floating body to lift up The gap between the inner wall and the inner wall cannot be lost.
[0012]
As a result, when the hydraulic oil jets and collides with the floating body, the hydraulic oil enters the upper part of the floating body through the gap between the floating body and the inner wall surface of the cylinder, and the specific gravity of the floating body is smaller than that of the hydraulic oil. Even so, the hydraulic oil that has entered the floating body cannot return to the upper hydraulic oil chamber again due to viscosity.
[0013]
For this reason, the floating body gradually sinks into the hydraulic fluid in the upper hydraulic oil chamber as the hydraulic shock absorber continues to expand and contract, and is pushed out into the lower hydraulic oil chamber during the compression operation. Blocks oil flow and prevents generation of compression side damping force.
[0014]
In addition, by repeating the above, the floating body gradually sinks greatly and finally comes into contact with the piston, and an abnormal force is applied to the piston to inhibit the function of the hydraulic shock absorber.
[0015]
Moreover, in this type of inverted single cylinder hydraulic shock absorber, a cylinder having a gas chamber is attached to the vehicle body side of the vehicle. The fluctuation is transmitted through the cylinder to the hydraulic fluid inside the hydraulic shock absorber.
[0016]
As a result, the hydraulic oil in the upper hydraulic oil chamber is waved and scattered while lifting the floating body due to movement for maintaining the oil level in a horizontal plane or movement caused by the inertia of the hydraulic oil itself.
[0017]
In addition, the undulation and scattering phenomenon of the hydraulic oil surface is also generated due to the inertia of the hydraulic oil itself received from the piston due to the rapid compression operation of the hydraulic shock absorber. It will involve the gas in the chamber.
[0018]
As a result, there is a response delay in the rise of the expansion side and compression side damping characteristics of the hydraulic shock absorber, and the initial damping characteristics are distorted. Depending on the progress of gas mixture in the hydraulic oil, the damping characteristics themselves may be reduced. As a result, the vibration of the vehicle cannot be sufficiently absorbed.
[0019]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to create undulations and splashes that occur on the hydraulic oil surface due to sudden vehicle body vibrations, posture changes, or sudden compression operations, in addition to gas entrainment caused by the blowing up of hydraulic oil during the extension operation. It is another object of the present invention to provide a gas-liquid mixed type single cylinder hydraulic shock absorber that can suppress gas and prevent entrainment of gas in hydraulic oil.
[0020]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the means of the present invention inserts a piston rod movably downward into a cylinder via a piston, and the piston has an upper hydraulic oil chamber and a lower hydraulic oil chamber in the cylinder. Gas-liquid mixing with a space provided above the upper hydraulic oil chamber and a gas chamber that compensates for the intrusion and withdrawal of the piston rod with the hydraulic oil surface of the upper hydraulic oil chamber as a free surface In the type single cylinder hydraulic shock absorber, a shielding board is provided in the hydraulic oil at the gas-liquid boundary surface in the upper hydraulic oil chamber so as to be slidable in contact with the inner wall surface of the cylinder and between the shielding board and the cylinder. A positioning element is provided on the upper and lower upper hydraulic oil chambers separated by the shielding plate while bypassing the shielding plate only in the positioning state across the shielding plate and the cylinder. The part of That it is characterized in that a bypass oil passage.
in this case, The shield plate is composed of a cup-shaped member with a hanging part facing downward, and the shielding plate is positioned with a snap ring fitted to the cylinder, and the hanging part of the shielding plate is partially cut. It is preferable to form a bypass oil passage that communicates the upper and lower portions of the upper hydraulic oil chamber while bypassing the shielding plate by the radiating oil passage formed in a lack and the annular oil passage formed in the inner wall surface of the cylinder.
[0021]
That is, with this configuration, an amount of hydraulic oil corresponding to the withdrawal volume of the piston rod from the cylinder pushed out from the lower hydraulic oil chamber through the piston to the upper hydraulic oil chamber during the extension operation of the hydraulic shock absorber. Flows into the upper hydraulic oil chamber as a jet while generating an expansion-side damping force while being throttled by the flow resistance when passing through the piston.
[0022]
The jet flow jets up vigorously and collides with the shielding plate as the extension operation speed of the hydraulic shock absorber at that time increases, and the shielding plate is pushed upward by the jet pressure of the jet flow.
[0023]
With the upward movement of the shielding plate, the bypass oil passage extending between the shielding plate and the cylinder, which has been in communication with the upper hydraulic oil chamber and the gas chamber, is disconnected from the middle and switched to the blocked state.
[0024]
As a result, the hydraulic oil that flows into the upper hydraulic oil chamber as a jet flows up into the gas chamber above the shielding board and entrains the internal gas, and the gas in the gas chamber is mixed into the hydraulic oil. To prevent it.
[0025]
Thereafter, the shielding plate allows the expansion of the gas chamber while acting as a free piston, and when the shielding plate opens the bypass oil passage, the gas chamber is allowed to expand through the bypass oil passage. Compensates for volume changes in the cylinder caused by rod withdrawal.
[0026]
Moreover, when the hydraulic shock absorber reaches the extension operation end and the jet of hydraulic oil to the upper hydraulic oil chamber disappears or becomes stationary, etc., the shielding plate will return to its original positioning state due to its own weight. Immediately sinks and opens the bypass oilway.
[0027]
On the other hand, when the extension speed of the hydraulic shock absorber is relatively slow and the momentum of the jet spouted up to the upper hydraulic oil chamber is weak, the jet fluid flows into the upper hydraulic oil chamber without pushing up the shielding board upward. Inflow.
[0028]
For this reason, the volume change in the upper hydraulic oil chamber caused by the withdrawal of the piston rod is caused by sucking the hydraulic oil above the shielding board into the upper hydraulic oil chamber through the bypass oil passage extending between the shielding board and the cylinder. Compensated.
[0029]
Even in this case, the flow of the working oil sucked into the upper working oil chamber through the bypass oil passage is gentle and the working oil in the vicinity of the shielding board flows in. Does not involve the gas in the gas chamber.
[0030]
On the other hand, during the compression operation of the hydraulic shock absorber, in contrast to the above-described extension operation, a bypass that spreads the amount of hydraulic oil equivalent to the infiltration volume of the piston rod into the cylinder between the shielding board and the cylinder. By compressing the gas chamber while being pushed up through the oil passage to the upper side of the shielding board, the hydraulic fluid is given flow resistance to the lower hydraulic oil chamber through the piston while maintaining the hydraulic oil pressure, thereby generating a compression side damping force.
[0031]
However, since the position of the piston at this time is lower, the hydraulic oil head in the upper hydraulic oil chamber is larger than that at the time of the extension operation, and the hydraulic oil is pushed up by the piston above the shielding board. It is performed statically by pushing up the entire surface with respect to the surface, and the hydraulic oil itself becomes an equivalent partition wall to suppress the jet of hydraulic oil.
[0032]
However, if the compression operation is abruptly performed, the hydraulic oil may flow into the gas chamber from the bypass oil passage extending between the shielding board and the cylinder. As in the operation, the shielding board is pushed upward to close the bypass oil passage, and prevents the gas in the gas chamber from being caught in the hydraulic oil while acting as a free piston.
[0033]
In addition to this, during the compression operation, the lower hydraulic oil chamber is filled with the hydraulic oil, and the gas pressure in the gas chamber acts on the hydraulic oil in the upper hydraulic oil chamber through the bypass oil passage. In this way, separation of the gas from the hydraulic oil is suppressed, so that no abnormality occurs.
[0034]
In addition, as described above, the specific gravity of the shielding plate can be made larger than that of the hydraulic oil. Therefore, even when the shielding plate receives a jet of hydraulic oil during the extension operation, it does not tilt between the cylinder and the cylinder. It is also possible to keep the gap between the gaps to a minimum and suppress the jet of the hydraulic oil from the gap to prevent the gas from being entrained in the hydraulic oil.
[0035]
In addition, even if the hydraulic oil level in the gas chamber above the shield panel undulates or scatters due to abrupt body vibration, posture change, or rapid compression operation, these undulations and scatters are prevented. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the gas from being caught in the hydraulic oil in the upper hydraulic oil chamber.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, in the gas-liquid mixing type single cylinder type hydraulic shock absorber, the shielding plate is placed on the inner wall surface of the cylinder in the hydraulic oil at the gas-liquid boundary surface in the upper hydraulic oil chamber . Are provided so as to be able to float and sink, and a positioning element is provided between the shielding board and the cylinder to limit the lowering of the shielding board, and the shielding board is placed only in the above positioning state over the shielding board and the cylinder. By providing a bypass oil passage that communicates the upper and lower portions of the upper hydraulic oil chamber separated by the shielding plate while bypassing the piston rod, the piston rod can be retracted and the effective stroke length as a hydraulic shock absorber is hardly impaired. In addition to being able to compensate for the volume change in the cylinder caused by the intrusion by the expansion and compression of the gas chamber, even if the hydraulic oil jets into the upper hydraulic oil chamber, it is blocked by the jet. The panel is pushed upward to shut off the bypass oil passage, allowing the expansion of the gas chamber through the shielding panel, while preventing the hydraulic oil from blowing into the gas chamber by the shielding panel, Entrainment can be prevented.
[0069]
In addition, in addition to the above, the oil in the gas chamber is trapped in the hydraulic oil by suppressing the waviness and scattering of the hydraulic oil surface caused by sudden vibration of the vehicle body, change in posture or sudden compression operation by the shielding board. It can also be prevented.
