BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improvement in input current of a PWM cycloconverter that realizes an arbitrary current waveform and suppresses input current distortion by using a PWM converter connected to an input section of the PWM cycloconverter.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The PWM cycloconverter is an AC-AC direct power converter that directly converts a three-phase AC power supply voltage into an arbitrary voltage / frequency. The PWM cycloconverter is based on the principle that a pulsed current flows through the input portion of the power semiconductor element. In order not to return the pulse current to the power supply system, an AC reactor and an AC capacitor are generally used to provide a low-pass filter. However, when a current flows through the filter, the reactor and the capacitor cause a resonance phenomenon, and a resonant current flows through the input section. This resonance current deteriorates the distortion rate of the input current. Further, when the PWM cycloconverter is not operating, a current flows through the capacitor and thus a resonance current is also generated.
As a conventional example of a method for suppressing this resonance current, there is a method in which a resistor is provided in parallel with an AC reactor for damping. This conventional example is shown in FIG. In FIG. 6, 1 is a three-phase AC power source, 2 is a three-phase AC reactor, 3 is a three-phase AC capacitor, 4 is a bidirectional switch group, 5 is a motor, and 18 is a damping resistor.
Next, the configuration will be described so that the connection relationship of FIG. 6 can be understood. The damping resistor 18 is connected in parallel with the three-
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the damping method using the above-described resistor, a loss occurs because the damping is performed using the heat loss of the resistor, the energy efficiency is deteriorated, and the life of the PWM cycloconverter that is a power converter is also affected. .
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and its purpose is (1) suppressing the resonance current of the PWM cycloconverter and improving the input current waveform, and (2) the main circuit of the PWM cycloconverter. The object is to regenerate the surge energy generated during switching of the bidirectional semiconductor switching element to be regenerated in the power system.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a first three-phase AC reactor (2) in which one end of each phase is connected to a three-phase AC power source (1), and the first three-phase AC reactor (2). A three-phase AC capacitor (3) connected between the respective phases at the other end, and a bidirectional switch (4) having a self-extinguishing capability in which one end is connected to each phase via the three-phase AC capacitor (3). And a snubber circuit (15 1 to 15 9 ), a PWM converter (7) connected to a DC voltage system, and a second three-phase AC reactor (6) having one end connected to the output side of the PWM converter (7) And the other end of the second three-phase AC reactor (6) is connected to the input side of the bidirectional switch (4) to regenerate the surge energy generated during switching of the bidirectional switch (4) to the power system. Output any AC or DC voltage. In the PWM cycloconverter that
The snubber circuit (15 1 to 15 9 ) is a direct current clamp type snubber circuit, the direct current side of the direct current clamp type snubber circuit is connected to the direct current side of the PWM converter (7), and the direct current of the PWM converter (7) is connected. The second three-phase AC reactor (6) is connected to the other side of the first three-phase AC reactor (2) instead of the three-phase AC power source (1) side. Connected to the other end side, the resonance current generated by the first three-phase AC reactor (2) and the three-phase AC capacitor (3) is suppressed.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention directly connects each phase of the AC power supply and each phase on the output side with a bidirectional switch having a self-extinguishing capability, and performs PWM control of the AC power supply voltage according to the output voltage command, In a PWM cycloconverter that outputs arbitrary AC and DC voltages, a PWM converter device connected to a DC voltage system is included, and the output section of the PWM converter device is connected to the input power supply side of the PWM cycloconverter. The resonance current of the cycloconverter can be suppressed and the input current waveform can be easily improved. In addition, surge energy generated during switching of the bidirectional semiconductor switching element constituting the main circuit of the PWM cycloconverter can be regenerated in the power system.
Originally, the PWM cycloconverter can control the input current waveform on the principle. However, since it is directly connected to the output unit by a bidirectional semiconductor switch, the output current must be controlled at the same time. As a result, the input current control performance is limited. This patent relates to an auxiliary device for enhancing the control performance of such a PWM cycloconverter, and input current control can be easily realized by diverting a general PWM converter.
