Description
【0001】
3PO4 3-+5Ca2++OH-→Ca5(PO4)3OH
Ca2++2F-→CaF2

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for treating aluminum-containing sludge.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In water treatment such as drainage, industrial water, and purified water, agglomeration treatment is performed by adding an aluminum-based flocculant such as sulfate band, polyaluminum chloride, and sodium aluminate. Along with this, aluminum-containing sludge containing aluminum is produced, but this aluminum-containing sludge has a problem that the amount of sludge generated is large because the concentration is poor. For example, even when aluminum sludge having a sludge concentration of 1 to 2% by weight is subjected to a dehydration treatment using a high-performance dehydrator such as a filter press, the water content of the dewatered cake is usually about 80% by weight.
[0003]
On the other hand, an aluminum-containing sludge is treated with an acid and recovered as an aluminum salt, and the recovered aluminum is reused as a flocculant. However, when the aluminum-containing sludge is simply treated with acid, organic substances, phosphates, fluorine compounds, microorganisms, clay minerals, etc. contained in the aluminum-containing sludge are also transferred into the recovered aluminum. When water is reused as a flocculant, the treated water may deteriorate. For this reason, the replenishment amount of a new flocculant increases, and the recovery merit of aluminum may become small.
[0004]
Incidentally, in Japanese Patent Publication No. 51-48386, an alkaline aluminum-containing liquid is added to and reacted with aluminum sludge containing aluminum hydroxide, and then an acid or acidic aluminum-containing liquid is added to the reaction mixture for neutralization. A method for treating an aluminum-containing liquid to form aluminum hydroxide is described. In Japanese Patent Publication Nos. 51-37278 and 49-36879, an alkali is added to aluminum sludge containing aluminum hydroxide and reacted, and then an acidic aluminum-containing liquid or acidic aluminum-containing liquid is added to the reaction mixture. A method for treating an acidic aluminum-containing liquid in which an aluminum-containing liquid neutralized with an alkali is added to form an aluminum hydroxide is described.
However, none of the above conventional methods is a method for forming aluminum hydroxide by adding a mixture of an acid and aluminum hydroxide to an alkali aluminate solution and neutralizing it.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to recover aluminum from aluminum-containing sludge as an aluminum hydroxide-containing solid content having good dewaterability, and to recover aluminum as a flocculant that does not deteriorate treated water when reused. It is to propose a treatment method for the contained sludge.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention is the following treatment method for aluminum-containing sludge.
(1) an aluminum dissolving step of adding an alkali agent to aluminum-containing sludge to dissolve aluminum;
A first aggregating treatment step in which an aggregating agent is added to the aluminum solution obtained in the aluminum dissolving step to agglomerate;
A first solid-liquid separation step for solid-liquid separation of the aggregation treatment liquid subjected to the aggregation treatment in the first aggregation treatment step;
A neutralization step of adding a neutralizing agent to the separated liquid separated in the first solid-liquid separation step to neutralize it to produce aluminum hydroxide;
A second coagulation treatment step of coagulating aluminum hydroxide by adding an aggregating agent to the neutralization treatment liquid obtained in the neutralization step;
And a second solid-liquid separation step of separating the solid content containing aluminum hydroxide by solid-liquid separation of the aggregation treatment liquid subjected to the aggregation treatment in the second aggregation treatment step,
The method for treating aluminum-containing sludge, wherein the neutralizing agent is a mixture of solids and acid containing aluminum hydroxide that has been solid-liquid separated in the second solid-liquid separation step.
(2) The method according to (1) above, wherein the aluminum-containing sludge is an aluminum-containing sludge containing a phosphate or a fluorine compound, and the alkali agent contains alkali and calcium ions.
(3) The method according to (1) or (2) above, wherein the separated solid content separated in the first solid-liquid separation step is returned to the aluminum dissolution step.
(4) The method according to any one of (1) to (3) above, wherein an acid is added to the solid content containing aluminum hydroxide solid-liquid separated in the second solid-liquid separation step and recovered as an aluminum salt.
[0007]
The aluminum-containing sludge to be treated in the present invention is agglomerated sludge that has been agglomerated using an aggregating agent containing an aluminum compound in water treatment such as drainage, industrial water, and purified water. Such sludge may contain a phosphate or a fluorine compound in addition to aluminum. The sludge concentration is not particularly limited, but is usually 1 to 2% by weight.
[0008]
In the present invention, first, an alkali agent is added to aluminum-containing sludge to dissolve aluminum. Examples of the alkali agent used at this time include alkali compounds such as sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide. When the aluminum-containing sludge contains a phosphate or a fluorine compound, a mixture of the alkali compound and a calcium compound that generates calcium ions in water is used as an alkali agent. Specific examples of the calcium compound include calcium hydroxide and calcium chloride. The alkali compound and calcium compound can be added separately to the aluminum-containing sludge.
[0009]
The alkali compound is added so that the pH of the aluminum-containing sludge is 11.5 to 13, preferably 11.8 to 12.3. If the pH is less than 11.5, the dissolution of aluminum is inhibited, and even if an amount exceeding 13 is added, the alkali not involved in the dissolution increases and the cost increases.
[0010]
Moreover, although the addition amount of a calcium compound shall be more than the equivalent of the phosphate and fluorine compound contained in aluminum containing sludge, 1-2 times equivalent is sufficient normally. The equivalent calculation can be calculated from the following equation.
In phosphate,
3PO 4 3− + 5Ca 2+ + OH − → Ca 5 (PO 4 ) 3 OH
When the phosphate ion is contained in x 1 mg / l sludge as P, the required amount of Ca is x 1 × 5Ca / 3P × 1-2 = x 1 × (200/91) × 1-2 Represented.
For fluorine compounds,
Ca 2+ + 2F - → CaF 2
To F, the required amount of Ca is x 2 × (40/38) × 1 to 2 when contained in x 2 mg / l sludge.
[0011]
When an alkaline agent is added to the aluminum-containing sludge, for example, aluminum is dissolved in water as aluminate by reaction of the following formulas (1) to (3). In addition, organic substances adsorbed on aluminum hydroxide are also dissolved.
[Chemical 1]
[0012]
A flocculant is added to the aluminum solution in which aluminum is dissolved, and the first aggregating treatment is performed. Examples of the flocculant used at this time include polyacrylamide, a partial hydrolyzate thereof, and an acrylic acid polymer flocculant such as polyacrylic acid. The amount of the flocculant to be added varies depending on the type of flocculant to be used. For example, in the case of polyacrylamide, 5 to 100 mg / l, preferably 10 to 20 mg / l is desirable. The aggregation treatment can be performed by a known method such as a combination of rapid stirring and slow stirring.
[0013]
The first coagulation treatment liquid thus coagulated is solid-liquid separated into a separation liquid and a separated solid content in the first solid-liquid separation step. As the solid-liquid separator, known solid-liquid separators such as thickeners, flotation separators, sedimentation separators, centrifugal separators, and membrane separators can be used.
[0014]
In the first solid-liquid separation step, insoluble organic substances, phosphates, fluorine compounds, clay minerals and the like are separated as solids. This separated solid content is returned to the aluminum dissolving step or the first aggregating treatment step if the aluminum dissolution in the aluminum dissolving step is insufficient or if the separation property is insufficient. can do. The separated solids that are not returned can be disposed of after being dehydrated with a dehydrator or the like. In this case, since the separated solid is a sludge having a small aluminum content and good separability, the dewaterability is good and the amount of dehydrated cake produced is greatly reduced.
[0015]
The separation liquid separated in the first solid-liquid separation step is neutralized by adding a neutralizing agent in the neutralization step to produce aluminum hydroxide.
As the neutralizing agent, a mixture in which an acid and a solid content containing aluminum hydroxide solid-liquid separated in the second solid-liquid separation step described later (hereinafter sometimes referred to as aluminum hydroxide sludge) is used. The mixing of the acid and the aluminum hydroxide sludge is usually performed by providing a mixing tank, and returning the aluminum hydroxide sludge from the second solid-liquid separation step to the mixing tank and mixing it with the acid. Examples of the acid include inorganic acids such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.
[0016]
The addition amount of the neutralizing agent is a neutralization equivalent or a small excess amount of aluminate contained in the separation liquid to be neutralized. The addition amount can be determined using the pH of the reaction solution as an index, and is usually added so that the pH is 5.5 to 7.5, preferably pH 6.5 ± 0.3. The amount of aluminum hydroxide sludge returned to the mixing tank is preferably returned so that the return ratio (R) obtained by the following formula (4) is 20 to 200, preferably 30 to 80.
[0017]
Return ratio (R)
= (C 2 × Q 2 ) / (C 1 × Q 1 ) (4)
[In the formula, C 1 is the concentration of aluminum hydroxide produced by neutralization (unit: kg / m 3 ), Q 1 is the amount of water to be treated (unit: m 3 / hr), and C 2 is the water to be returned. Sludge concentration in aluminum oxide sludge (unit: kg / m 3 ), Q 2 is the amount of aluminum hydroxide sludge to be returned (unit: m 3 / hr). ]
[0018]
When neutralizing by adding the neutralizing agent so as to satisfy the pH and the return ratio, a crystalline white aluminum hydroxide having good dehydrating property is formed, unlike the conventional gelled aluminum hydroxide. The reason for this is not clear, but when aluminum hydroxide sludge and acid are mixed, hydrogen ions are adsorbed on the aluminum hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide is deposited on the sludge surface. In this state, the following formula (5) It is presumed that the sum reaction proceeds.
[Chemical 2]
[0019]
The neutralization treatment liquid adds a flocculant in the second agglomeration treatment step to agglomerate the produced aluminum hydroxide, and then in the second solid-liquid separation step, solids containing this aluminum hydroxide (aluminum hydroxide) Sludge). This second agglomeration treatment and second solid-liquid separation can be performed in the same manner as the first agglomeration treatment and first solid-liquid separation.
[0020]
Part or all of the aluminum hydroxide sludge is mixed with an acid as described above and used as a neutralizing agent. The remainder is dissolved by adding sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid or waste acid, and recovered as an aluminum salt. The dissolution treatment is preferably performed at a pH of 2 to 3. If the pH exceeds 3, the dissolution becomes insufficient, and if the pH is less than 2, the acid becomes excessive.
[0021]
The recovered aluminum recovered can be reused as a flocculant. For example, it can be reused as an aluminum-based coagulant in the coagulation treatment step in the upstream water treatment step. In this case, since insoluble organic substances, phosphates, fluorine compounds, clay minerals, and the like are separated as solids in the first solid-liquid separation step, the treated water is not deteriorated.
[0022]
If aluminum hydroxide sludge is not reused, it should be dehydrated with a dehydrator and disposed of. In this case, the aluminum hydroxide sludge has good dewaterability, can be easily dehydrated, and a dehydrated cake with a low water content can be obtained. For this reason, the amount of cake generated is usually 40-60% less than before.
[0023]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, a neutralizing agent consisting of a mixture of an acid and aluminum hydroxide sludge is added to the aluminum solution to neutralize the aluminum solution. It is possible to obtain a method for treating aluminum-containing sludge that can be collected as contained solids and can be collected as a flocculant that does not deteriorate treated water when reused.

1 in the water purification plant sludge 1 (sludge concentration: 12 g / liter-sludge, Al content: 3.2 g / liter-sludge, loss on ignition: 30.8% by weight / dry cake, pH 6.8) It processed as follows by the processing amount of liter-sludge / hr.
[0035]
That is, aluminum was dissolved by adding a 50 wt% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution to the dissolution tank 2 so that the pH was 12.5. About 90% or more of dissolved aluminum was dissolved in 2.9 g / liter-water purification plant sludge. The COD of this solution was 250 mg / l. Next, after 10 ppm of polyacrylamide-based flocculant (Cliff Rock PA-331, manufactured by Kurita Kogyo Co., Ltd., registered trademark) is injected into the

A part of the aluminum hydroxide sludge was dehydrated by a filter press under the conditions of filtration pressure = 4 kg / cm 2 , filtration time = 2 minutes, pressing pressure = 7 kg / cm 2 , pressing time = 5 minutes. As a result, a dehydrated cake having a water content of 52% by weight was obtained.
[0039]
Example 2
Aluminum-containing sludge generated from the treatment process of fluorine-containing wastewater with aluminum salt 1 (sludge concentration: 21.6 g / l, Al: 8.2 g / l, F: 0.5 g / l, Ca: 1.7 g / l) Was treated in the same manner as in Example 1. However, 1200 mg / l of Ca (OH) 2 was added to the aluminum dissolution tank 2 simultaneously with sodium hydroxide, and fluorine was separated as CaF 2 . The results are as follows.
Water content of dehydrated cake: 42% by weight
Recovery Al dissolution: 75 g-Al / l-solution 0.3 g-F / l-solution
Comparative Example 1
The same aluminum-containing sludge 1 as in Example 1 was dehydrated as it was in Example 1. As a result, the water content of the obtained dehydrated cake was 79.5% by weight.
In addition, in order to dissolve sludge and use it as an aluminum-based flocculant, concentrated sulfuric acid was added in an amount of 19000 mg / l, which is a little excess from the theoretical amount of 17500 mg / l, and reacted for 3 hours. When this filtrate was analyzed, pH = 2.2, Al 3+ concentration = 3.0 g / l—in terms of raw sludge, and 90% or more of aluminum contained in the sludge was dissolved. COD, which is an indicator of organic substances, is 290 mg / l-raw sludge in terms of filtrate. If used as it is, COD circulates in the system, and it is difficult to recover and reuse.
[0041]
Comparative Example 2
The same aluminum-containing sludge 1 as in Example 2 was dehydrated as it was in Example 1. As a result, the moisture content of the cake was 72.6% by weight.
[0042]
From the water content of the dehydrated cakes of Example 1 and Comparative Example 1, it can be seen that the amount of dehydrated cake generated in Example 1 is reduced by about 57% compared to Comparative Example 1. Similarly, it can be seen that the amount of dehydrated cake produced in Example 2 is reduced by about 53% compared to Comparative Example 2. Thus, when it disposes as a dehydrated cake, the amount of cake generated is greatly reduced. Moreover, when recovering aluminum, it turns out that most fluorine which is an impurity is isolate | separated.
[0043]
Example 3
As a result of X-ray diffraction of the crystalline aluminum hydroxide sludge obtained in Examples 1 and 2, a sharp diffraction line showing crystallinity was obtained, which coincided with the Bayerite diffraction line. From this, it was identified as Bayerite Al (OH) 3 . On the other hand, the diffraction line indicating the presence of some crystals was not obtained from the water purification plant sludge, and it was amorphous.
